News of Joe's "lightning negation" pushed Darian Velmont over the edge.

"I won't stand for this," Darian growled. "I, the strongest student in Eldoria, challenge Joe Hoeyol to an official duel."

Joe, mid-bite of a sandwich, nearly choked.

"I decline," he said immediately.

Darian smirked. "Coward."

Joe froze. The entire student body had gathered. Celestia stood nearby, watching closely. If he refused now, it would only make him look more mysterious.
