The Limitless Naruto In Solo LEveLing

Chapter 5: Chapter - 005 : Tenth S-Rank Hunter

The Day of Rank Re-evaluation

The news of the announcement of a new S-Rank hunter was on the air, spreading like wildfire. Everyone, from existing hunters to the general citizens of South Korea, was eagerly awaiting the news, as the excitement was at its peak.

Though nobody knew who the person was or what his identity was, the news of the 10th S-Rank hunter of the country was not something that any news channel or media outlet would miss. So, on the morning of the re-evaluation, the front of the evaluation building was completely filled with reporters and crews throughout, even covering the backside of the building to ensure they didn't miss reporting the news.

The re-evaluation building was completely booked for the day solely for the new S-Rank hunter.

Meanwhile, Naruto, who was actually the person about to become the newest S-Rank hunter of the country, was very excited himself. Seeing the excitement from people made him feel even greater.

**[8:00 AM, Inside Naruto's Apartment]**

Naruto was still having his breakfast while watching the news, which was being broadcasted from outside the Rank Evaluation building. He was a bit surprised to see so many reporters there, but he had predicted it because the last S-Rank hunter from South Korea was two years ago, which was hunter Cha Hae-In from the hunters guild.

Naruto decided to leave at 9:20, as he was told to be present at the re-evaluation building by 9:50 AM. So, he still had some time on hand, which he spent scrolling through the internet and observing the reactions to the news spreading around, as it seemed to be the hot topic of the moment.

After some time, he got ready in a fitted black leather jacket over a black turtleneck, paired with tailored black pants and sleek black boots.

It was already 9:10 AM when he left his apartment, booked a cab, and as soon as the cab arrived, he left for the Hunter Rank Evaluation building.

Moments later, he finally reached near the evaluation building at 9:45 AM. The cab couldn't get closer to the building because of the crowd of reporters standing outside.

At this moment, just as he was about to step out of the car, he received a phone call. As he brought out his phone, he recognized the caller instantly; it was Chief Inspector Woo Jin Chul.

He picked up the call immediately, held it beside his ear, and immediately addressed the person at other side of the call.

"Yes, Mr. Uzumaki, have you reached the location for re-evaluation?" Jin Chul asked from the other side of the call.

"Uhmmm... Yeah, I'm just outside the building. There are many reporters here," Naruto responded.

"Wait... I will send some people to escort you through the crowd," Jin Chul said, sounding as if he was about to hang up. But before he could, Naruto spoke up.

"Wait... You don't need to. I'll be able to get through..." Naruto said, having already completed a simple plan to enter the building without needing to go through the reporters.

"Are you sure?" Jin Chul asked in a serious voice, confirming Naruto's decision.

"Yes!" Naruto said, as he hung up the phone.

He stepped out of the cab as it left.

A slight smirk played on his lips. "It only takes one second." As soon as he said it, he teleported himself in front of the door of the Evaluation building, leaving the reporters behind. But he forgot one thing: although he had bypassed the reporters, they had just seen him appear in front of them all of a sudden, and he was even recorded doing so—which, all in all, might have been a bad decision.

Meanwhile, seeing the sudden appearance of the yellow-haired boy in front of them, the reporters were completely stunned. They tried to push through, but the security guards worked extra hard to keep them from getting in.

The security guards at the gate already had Naruto's description, so they let him in. Even they were completely surprised to see Naruto appearing out of nowhere in front of them.

Naruto entered the building and, at first glance, saw Woo Jin Chul standing there, seemingly waiting for him. He immediately approached Naruto. "You are on time; the Evaluation room is ready for you," he said.

"Who are the people inside?" Naruto questioned, sensing powerful presences from within.

"There is Chairman Go Gunhee, and there are several S-Rank hunters who are the leaders of three of the biggest guilds in the country," Jin Chul replied.

Naruto nodded, sensing the powerful magical energy emanating from the room in front of him.

"Let's go!" Jin Chul said, and Naruto nodded.

After a few moments...

As he entered the room, Jin Chul closed the door and left. Naruto immediately saw Chairman Go Gunhee, who was standing there with a warm smile. He approached Naruto and shook his hand. "Great, welcome, young man," he said as he shook his hand.

"Thanks!" Naruto replied.

Immediately afterward, two other people standing nearby came forward. "I am Lim Tae-Gyu, Guild Master of the Fiend Guild," the man in the black suit approached him first.

Naruto knew him; he had seen him in the news a few times. He was one of the nine S-Rank hunters of Korea.

Seeing the other two—Baek Yoon-ho, Guild Master of the Tiger Guild, and Choi Jong-in, Guild Master of the Hunters Guild—approach him, Naruto gave them a slight nod. "Nice to meet you all here!" he said, concluding the introductions and conversations for now. Both of them nodded and stood in their places.

Afterward, Naruto was taken inside another room, while the three guild masters remained outside.

"Hunter, Naruto Uzumaki. Nice to meet you," a well-suited man greeted him, holding a board and pen in hand.

Naruto nodded to his greeting with a smile.

"First of all, we will need to confirm your abilities for assigning you a class as a hunter before starting the evaluation," he said. "What kind of abilities can you use?"

"Should I show them or just tell you?" Naruto asked because he hadn't thought they would inquire about his abilities. However, it made quite a lot of sense for them to ask.

"If you do both, it would be better!" the man replied.

"Okay!" Naruto nodded. First, he brought up his right hand, creating a bright blue sphere, which formed in his hand. Without further explanation, he then brought up his left hand, forming a vibrant red energy sphere or wave emanating from it.

He looked towards the evaluator, who appeared a bit confused. Understanding this, Naruto went on to explain as he first pointed towards the red energy. As the evaluator followed his gaze, Naruto said, "This technique generates a repulsive force that can push objects away, and I call it 'red' because... it's red."

The evaluator nodded.

After this, Naruto performed some of his other techniques as well, but only a few of them.

30 minutes later, Naruto came out of the evaluation room, holding a hunter license in his hand.

South Korean Hunter Association License

Name: Naruto Uzumaki

Rank: S-Rank

Class: Mage

Naruto walked out of the room, and the three of them looked at him as he emerged with the license. As Naruto looked up at them, he suddenly remembered something.

"Congratulations, Hunter Uzumaki," Lim Tae-Gyu, the field guild leader in a black suit, spoke up first.

As Naruto tucked the license into his pocket, Lim Tae-Gyu, the Fiend Guild master, leaned in slightly. "Naruto, with your talents, you'd be a perfect fit for the Fiend Guild. We're always looking for exceptional hunters to join our ranks."

Baek Yoon-ho quickly interjected with a competitive edge in his voice, "Hold on, Lim. The Tiger Guild could offer Naruto better opportunities to showcase his abilities. We could use someone like him."

Choi Jong-in crossed his arms, a hint of irritation creeping into his tone. "Let's not forget the Hunters Guild. We have the resources and experience to help Naruto reach his full potential."

The tension between Baek Yoon-ho and Choi Jong-in began to rise. "Are you implying the Tiger Guild lacks resources?" Baek challenged, his voice slightly raised.

Choi Jong-in responded, his voice calm but firm, "No, but we prioritize growth and development, something that might suit Naruto better."

Naruto, sensing the argument escalating, stepped forward. His voice was collected and assertive, cutting through the rising tension. "Gentlemen, I appreciate the offers, truly. But I think I need some time to consider my options before making any decisions about joining a guild. So, I will just leave for now."

Saying the last words, Naruto went over to the door to get outside.

"Are you sure you want to leave from here? There are reporters outside," Choi Jong-in said.

"I know that. It won't be a problem," Naruto replied.

After speaking, he stepped out through the gate. As soon as he did, the sound of pictures being clicked and camera flashes fell upon him. Naruto, at first, was a bit taken aback by it, but then he stood there with a confident smile.

Finally, the moment had come—the moment of him becoming one of the top hunters in the country.

The news immediately made headlines and was the breaking news of the day.

'South Korea Found It's 10th S-Rank Hunter Of The Country - Naruto Uzumaki , the boy born in Japan , raised in South Korea , joins the rank of South Korean Hunter List, Can he become a success !?'

Naruto stood in front of the reporters, as the questions flooded in towards him one after another.

"Mr. Uzumaki, why have you decided to become a hunter for South Korea & not your birth country !?"

"Mr. Uzumaki, What Do you think of becoming the 10th S-rank Hunter for South Korea !?"

"Mr. Uzumaki, please look at the camera , look over here. Mr. Uzumaki"

"Mr. Uzumaki, do you plan to join any guild soon, or will you operate independently?"

"What do you think sets you apart from other hunters, especially being so young?"

"How do you feel about the responsibility that comes with being an S-Rank hunter?"

Naruto listened to the barrage of questions with a calm demeanor, his eyes scanning the crowd. He held his right hand up in the air, and all of a sudden, the crowd began to quiet down.

"Becoming an S-Rank hunter is an honor, and it's a role I take seriously," he began, addressing the crowd with a composed yet determined expression. "I didn't just become a hunter for the title or the recognition. For me, it's about making sure that people can live their lives without fear. Protecting those who can't protect themselves is my highest priority."

He paused, letting his words sink in. "I may have been born in Japan, but South Korea is where I grew up, where I've made my friends and family. This is my home, and I want to do everything I can to keep it safe."

Naruto's gaze was unwavering, his sincerity evident. "As for what's next, I'm going to take my time and consider my options carefully. I want to be sure that wherever I go, I can make the biggest impact. You can count on me to be there when it matters."

With that, Naruto gave a nod, indicating he was done speaking for the moment. The reporters continued to clamor for his attention, but he had said what he needed to.

Woo Jin Chul walked up to him. "It'll get tiring for you if you stand here to address them. We will escort you out," he suggested.

"No need..." Naruto looked at him for a moment and then looked away again towards the crowd of reporters. "Okay, I will leave for now. I have some other important work to do, but I'm sure you'll have more opportunities to ask me questions. And also, thank you all for coming out here."

After saying this, Naruto looked at Jin Chul. "I will leave, thanks."

With that, Naruto used a teleportation technique, and in an instant, he was no longer standing there. Jin Chul and the reporters went crazy once again, witnessing the scene, while Choi Jong-in, Baek Yoon-ho, and Lim Tae-Gyu stood there in astonishment, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
