Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Above the Moon.
The original text records little about the coup on the moon.
Nor does it give an exact time for the coup.
The only inference that can be made seems to be that all this happened before Otsutsuki Toneri's father brought him to Earth to see Hinata. Otherwise, why could a mere branch family father and son come to Earth at will?
And why was Hinata so confidently declared as Toneri's future wife, bearing the heavy responsibility of humanity's progenitor?
Of course, this is just speculation. It's also possible that the rebellion occurred when Toneri was nearing adulthood.
But no matter, as long as there's a hint of the rebellion, Hyuga Hitoshi, the fire-stoking mentor, will have room to maneuver.
After all, these people must make way for the Hyuga clan!
While his shadow clone enters the cave, Hyuga Hitoshi begins to analyze information about the coup.
The branch family members of the Otsutsuki believe that the ninja world established by Rikudou Sennin has been in chaos for a thousand years, and the scale is expanding. They see this world as wrong and wish to unite their people to use the power of the Tenseigan to destroy the ninja world.
The main family of the clan longed for peace and did not wish to cause disputes, expressing dissatisfaction with the branch family's misinterpretation of Hamura's will.
The branch family, however, was resolute. They sacrificed the eyes of all their members to create the original version of the mutated Byakugan, the pale purple Tenseigan, and cleanly exterminated the entire main family.
After the extermination, they integrated all the Byakugan from both the main and branch families and even created the golden Tenseigan in Hamura's temple. With that formidable power, they planned to one day propel the moon to collide with Earth.
Considering all this, Hitoshi must prepare to deal with the Tenseigan if he wants to monopolize the moon and claim Otsutsuki Kaguya for himself.
But this is the worst-case scenario.
Touching his own eyes, Hyuga Hitoshi understood clearly.
The so-called Tenseigan, in his view, seemed more like a mutation. Otherwise, why hadn't Hamura, with the purest bloodline, managed to create it, and instead, it was the branch family who succeeded?
It must have been the branch family who succeeded by combining some ancestral rumors.
Unexpectedly, the power of the mutated Byakugan was so astonishing that it was even hailed as the pinnacle of the Byakugan.
Fortunately, that was only the pinnacle of the Byakugan, not of Hyuga Hitoshi.
After all, when it comes to mutations, Hyuga Hitoshi with the golden finger is the most outrageous one.
"Hmm?"
As time passed, Hyuga Hitoshi suddenly opened his eyes.
His shadow clone on the moon had already committed suicide and returned.
The reason was that its chakra was about to be exhausted. Unwilling to fade away naturally, the clone stabbed himself in the heart, defiantly passing the message to the original body.
In short, mission accomplished!
At this moment, Hyuga Hitoshi could already sense the coordinates on the moon. He just needed to activate the phasing teleportation to arrive at the scene.
However, he did not act rashly but carefully received the message passed by the shadow clone.
The shadow clone's journey had been relatively smooth.
But some intelligence was worth careful consideration.
First, it was certain that upon entering the passage, one would indeed be affected by Genjutsu. However, according to the shadow clone's analysis, the purer the bloodline, the less the suppression, and the chakra consumption was acceptable. It was even certain that there was some kind of switch within the passage that could be turned off.
Second, the end of the passage indeed connected to the moon. The shadow clone said that viewing Earth from the moon was breathtaking. Moreover, strangely, there was air on the moon, as well as high-rise palaces and soil similar to Earth's, making human survival hardly a challenge.
Third, after the shadow clone went out, it did not find any guards. It offered two explanations: one was that they never expected anyone to come to the moon through the passage, and the other was that they were busy with other things and couldn't attend to this side. The shadow clone personally favored the former because it even boldly activated the Byakugan to look around and sneaked near a line of Otsutsuki clan members in uniform.
He believed that if he wore their clothes, they would not notice and would naturally assume the shadow clone was one of their clan members, indicating their vigilance was not high.
This indirectly proved that the coup had not occurred and was still brewing.
Obviously.
This was not good news.
Hyuga Hitoshi stroked his chin, not disappointed, as it would just take a bit more effort.
The best news brought by the shadow clone was the situation of the passage.
Being able to close it was good, as he could then lead the elite to the moon at any time and replace Hamura's descendants.
He had thought it was wrong to refer to those celestial beings as ancestors.
They were all descendants of Hamura; no one could claim to be more noble. Why not go up and see what happened to Princess Kaguya?
With a preliminary understanding of the situation on the moon, Hyuga Hitoshi was not in a hurry to act.
He had a good grasp of the chakra consumption of the passage and could plan his moves slowly.
After a long night, having expended his excess energy, the right thing for Hyuga Hitoshi to do was to return and cuddle up with Hyuga Pakura for a good night's sleep.
With a fleeting thought, he marked the coordinates of this place, and an Uzumaki aura emerged around him.
Glancing at the space-time he had developed, and the two bodies encased in ice, Hitoshi shook his head, sighed deeply, and stepped out.
In his current state, akin to a beggar's version of the Tenseigan, he shouldn't even think about controlling others' reincarnations. To force such an action would consume a great deal of life force, and he was no saint to make such thankless efforts.
Maybe another time, it would be quite satisfying to use it to disgust the old village chief.
Returning to the Patriarch's private residence, Hyuga Pakura was sleeping soundly. HitoshiPatriarch didn't have the heart to disturb her, so he wrapped his arms around his foundling wife and drifted off to sleep.
The next day.
"Uh, Jonin Ushiuma, my brother hasn't gotten up yet?"
In the Hyuga clan's guest room.
An important person had arrived today.
Of course, 'important' might be overstating it a bit, as the Hyuga clan members looked at him with a hint of curiosity.
Yes.
Uchiha Fugaku had come.
The man rumored to have offered his wife and child to Hitoshi on the battlefield. It was said that he had mentioned it in passing, but the Patriarch took it seriously. Upon returning, under Fugaku's complex gaze, he led his wife to arrange a meeting.
But rumors are just rumors, even if eyewitnesses claim to have seen the two entering a Konohagakure inn, it's still just hearsay, as if the eyewitnesses were blind.
There's also a rumor that Sasuke's pupils flickered white at birth before finally turning black. Can you believe that?
"The Patriarch has a habit of taking a morning nap."
Hyuga Ushiuma, who was serving as Hyuga Hitoshi's guard at the time, nodded. According to the Patriarch, how can you work well if you haven't slept to your heart's content? He wouldn't dare interfere with the Patriarch's schedule, especially since the Patriarch privately prides himself on being a master of time management.
"Brother Hitoshi really has... an impressive capacity."
Fugaku struggled for a while, intending to say Hyuga Hitoshi was carefree, but quickly changed his words after meeting Hyuga Ushiuma's gaze.
After all, he had come to discuss strategies with Hyuga Hitoshi, and he had to be on his best behavior!
Finally.
As the sun climbed high, Hyuga Hitoshi appeared in the guest room with his hair flowing elegantly.
"Huh? Brother Fugaku is here?"
After a small surprise, Hitoshi quickly came over warmly.
"Where's your sister-in-law?"
You...
Fugaku's mouth twitched. Couldn't you ask that in private? Your guard is right here!
"Cough cough, I left in a hurry and forgot to tell your sister-in-law, and besides, she's been busy with the child lately, not much time."
Mentioning the child, a flicker of awkwardness crossed Fugaku's face, but the broad-minded and stout Fugaku brother couldn't be bothered to ponder too deeply. Life is meant to be lived in a bit of a blur.
He had come on serious business!
Who knows how much effort Fugaku brother had put into calming his clan last night?
And then, damn it, first thing in the morning, his clan reported something that made him extremely angry.
It seems...
The Anbu might be monitoring the Uchiha clan!
