The hero of DC and Marvel

Chapter 7: chapter 7

Angela spent hours inspecting the new organs, ensuring everything was in perfect condition.

"Is everything okay?" I asked.

"Yes, the organs are perfect. The machine you two built could change the world. There would be no more waiting lists for organ transplants—hospitals could just create what they need. It's truly incredible," Angela said, amazed.

"Thanks, but we're not giving it to any hospitals—at least not yet. I'll probably have to build my own," I replied.

"What? Why?" Angela asked, clearly surprised.

"Because the government will most likely try to regulate or suppress it. That's why I'm building a company—to gain influence. If I get enough power, I can create hospitals worldwide. And I won't stop there. I plan to cure diseases, develop machines to clean our oceans, find alternatives to deforestation, and create clean energy. I want to produce healthier food without harmful chemicals. My goal isn't just to play hero—I want to change the world for the better. I want to leave something behind for my children to enjoy."

Angela and Marlize fell silent, just staring at me.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing… You just remind me of someone," Angela murmured.

"I was just picturing the world you're describing. It sounds beautiful, and I'm glad I can help make it a reality," Marlize added.

"Me too!" Nooroo chimed in.

Angela smiled and finally turned her attention to the tiny creature floating beside me.

"Right, I was so focused on the organs that I didn't ask—who is this little cutie?"

"This is Nooroo, a magical being that grants powers and can turn people into superheroes," I explained.

Angela let out a small laugh. "You know, I once met a talking gorilla who was a scientist. I have a feeling you're just going to keep surprising me, aren't you?"

"That's a very strong possibility," I said with a grin.

"Good to know. At least I'll never be bored," Angela replied.

"Anyway, how long until we can perform the surgery on Toshinori?" I asked.

"A few more days. I want to run additional tests on the organs first to be absolutely sure," Angela said.

"Got it. In the meantime, I'm going to summon some new allies," I said.

With that, Nooroo, Marlize, and I left the room and headed toward the training area.

Before summoning anyone, I turned to Marlize.

"Before I do this, I should warn you—I'm about to summon a demon detective and a guy who looks like an octopus."

She blinked. "What?"

"Yeah, I know it sounds weird, but don't worry—they're not bad guys. The rest will be heroes… and one regular human."

"Okay… but demons? Are they real?" she asked.

"Yes. And so is Hells."

"Don't you mean Hell—singular?" she corrected.

I shook my head. "No, there are multiple Hells."

She chuckled, shaking her head. "Angela was right—life is never going to be boring with you around."

"Nope. Now, time to summon."

I focused, picturing the people I wanted to summon.

'System, summon A-Train, Green Ghost, Koro Sensei, Damien Darkblood, Ashley, and Kimiko.'

A bright flash filled the room, and when it faded, they all stood before me.

A-Train and Ashley stood next to each other—A-Train in his hero suit, Ashley in business attire. Kimiko was dressed casually, wearing a leather jacket. Green Ghost was also in regular clothes. Koro Sensei appeared in the same outfit I'd seen him wear in the anime. And finally, Darkblood stood there, dressed just like in the show.

They all stood there, looking confused, so I decided to introduce myself.

"Hello, everyone. I'm Edward, but you can call me Ed. I'm the one who summoned you here. I'd like to know about your worlds and what it was like coming here."

For a moment, they remained silent until Darkblood finally spoke.

"I am Darkblood, a detective who seeks justice for other to save own soul. I was investigating a case—Omni-Man murdered superheroes in cold blood. I was trying to uncover his motive."

Green Ghost frowned. "Did you ever find out why? Why would he do that to us?"

Darkblood shook his head. "No. Before I could uncover the truth, I was sent to Hell. But instead of reaching the depths, I appeared in a white void. A voice spoke to me and asked, 'Do you want to seek justice in a new world?' I accepted… and now I'm here. Better than eternal damnation, I suppose."

Another voice spoke up. "I'm Alana," Green Ghost said. "I was a superhero in my world. I died at Omni-Man's hands. When I appeared in that white void, the voice asked if I wanted a second chance—to live in a new world and be a hero again. I said yes, and now I'm here."

Koro Sensei grinned. "Hello, young man. My name is Koro Sensei. In my world, I died at the hands of my students because my body was unstable and was going to explode within a few months. Rather than letting that happen, I allowed them to kill me. But then… I woke up in the white void. The voice asked if I wanted to teach again in a new world, and of course, I said yes!"

Reggie—A-train—sighed. "Name's Reggie. In my world, superheroes weren't real heroes. They were mostly selfish, power-hungry pricks. I used to be one too, but I was trying to change, trying to do better. Then I got killed by Homelander while trying to save a friend. After that, I ended up in the void, and the voice asked if I wanted to actually be a hero this time. I took the chance."

Ashley spoke next, her voice nervous. "I'm Ashley. I wasn't a hero—just a regular person. My job was to make sure superheroes looked good in front of the cameras. I died at the hands of Homelander, too. A-Train came back for me… but Homelander killed us both. Then I woke up in the void, and the voice asked if I wanted to live in a world where I could actually do some good. So… I said yes."

I turned to Kimiko. She didn't speak but immediately started using sign language. Luckily, I understood.

I died when Homelander became president. After that, I appeared in the white void. The voice asked if I wanted to live again and be a hero. I said yes.

I didn't say anything for a moment, lost in thought. There was something I wanted to test.

"Church," I called out.

He appeared instantly, looking slightly annoyed. "What's up? And please don't give me more work to do."

"I just want to know—is Annie still in the base?"

Kimiko, Ashley, and Reggie all looked surprised when I mentioned her name.

"Yeah, she's hanging out with Escanor and Sabrina."

"Okay, call her here."

"Done."

"Thanks, that's all I needed for now."

"Alright." Church disappeared, going back to whatever he was doing.

Kimiko started signing. You know Annie?

"Yeah. She was the first person I summoned. She's been here for about five months now."

Kimiko's expression shifted. Five months? We were together when we died.

"I guess my powers can summon you guys from different times."

Before I could say more, Annie arrived. She was about to say something but stopped the moment she saw Kimiko.

"Kimiko?" Her voice cracked as she ran forward, pulling her into a tight hug. Then she noticed A-Train and Ashley. "You two are here too?"

Ashley looked overwhelmed. "Annie… what's going on?"

I sighed. "Right, I forgot to explain." Everyone turned to me, waiting for an answer.

"The reason I summoned you is simple—I need your help to make this world better. This world is far more dangerous than any of yours combined. There are aliens, superheroes, supervillains… and Nazis. Hidden within the government. On top of that, people are born with powers, magic exists, and the technology here is beyond belief. That's why I brought you here—to help me protect this world and make it safer for regular people."

"Fuck me—Nazis in the government?" Reggie groaned.

Alana nodded. "I've dealt with all that… except for the Nazis."

"Yeah, well, in this world, it's ten times worse."

Ashley started panicking. "I'm not a hero! I'm just a regular person! I can't fight!"

"Ashley, calm down. You're not going to be a hero. I need your help running a company."

She blinked. "A… company?"

"Yeah. I'm building a company that will benefit the world, and I need someone with your experience to help run it."

She let out a deep breath. "Oh, thank God. That's something I can actually do."

I turned to Koro Sensei. "I'm also building a school, and I need you to teach students."

His face lit up. "Ah! My area of expertise!"

Next, I turned to Darkblood. "I need you to track down certain individuals—those with the right heart and intentions, as well as those who pose a hidden threat. Some may have an online presence, but others will require deeper investigation."

Darkblood nodded.

I looked at the rest of them. "And for the rest of you, I want you to join my team as heroes."

Alana hesitated. "I'd love to, but I don't have my powers anymore."

I raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"I needed a small jade stone to transform into Green Ghost. I lost it when Omni-Man killed me."

I thought for a moment. "Check your pockets."

She frowned but reached into her pockets. Her eyes widened in shock as she pulled out the jade.

"How? I was sure it was destroyed."

I smirked. "Best guess? My power brought it along with you."

Before I could say anything else, Koro Sensei zipped over to Marlize at lightning speed.

"Ah, madam! May I have the honor of knowing the name of such a beautiful lady?"

Marlize chuckled. "I'm Marlize, one of the scientists working with Ed."

I gestured to the small, floating creature beside me. "And this is Nooroo. He's a magical being."

"Hello, everyone!" Nooroo greeted.

Alana, Kimiko, and Koro Sensei waved back. A-Train and Ashley just stared at him, still processing what I had said. Darkblood remained neutral as always.

I turned to Annie and Kimiko. "I'm sure you two have a lot to catch up on, so I'll leave you to it."

Annie nodded, and she and Kimiko left together.

I looked at the rest of them. "Take a day to process everything. If you need answers, just call Church—he'll fill you in."

Church appeared again. "But don't ask dumb questions. I've got a lot of work to do."

I smirked. "Yeah, yeah. I will start making your siblings today.

His eyes lit up. "Finally. Thank you."

"Since you're here, show our new teammates to their rooms."

"Alright, newbies, follow me," Church said, leading them away.

Once they were gone, I turned to Marlize. "So, what do you think?"

She smiled. "I think you're really going to change the world for the better. And your power is amazing."

I nodded. "Good to know. But if you ever see me doing something out of character, make sure to call me out on it. I need people to help me stay on the right path."

Marlize chuckled. "You say that, but I doubt you'll ever need that kind of help. Still, if the time comes, I'll do it."

"Good." I turned to Nooroo. "Go explore the base and meet everyone else. I'll be in the workshop for a while, and I don't want you getting bored."

"Okay!" Nooroo chirped.

I gave Marlize a nod. "Have a good day."

"You too, Ed."

With that, I walked off toward the workshop.

I headed to the workshop with two major tasks in mind—designing a new suit for A-Train and creating additional AI to assist Church.

For A-Train's suit, I focused on upgrading both function and disguise. Instead of his usual goggles, I designed a sleek, high-tech helmet to fully conceal his identity. The suit remained streamlined for speed but now had advanced tech woven into it. I kept the signature "A" emblem on both shoulders, reinforcing his identity while maintaining a refined, tactical aesthetic. The gloves were reinforced for durability, ensuring he had both grip and protection in high-speed situations.

Once I finished the suit, I turned my attention to the AI project. Church was handling too much on his own, so I developed a team of AI constructs to help distribute the workload. Each one had a specialized function:

Delta – Tactical analysis and mission logistics.

Theta – Predictive combat simulations and adaptability training.

Eta & Iota – Security and base defense monitoring.

Gamma – Communications and intelligence gathering.

Omega – Combat strategy and battlefield coordination (without the rage-induced destruction).

Sigma – Research and technological development (programmed with unwavering loyalty).

Beta (Tex) – Operational execution and oversight, designed to never fail an important task (and just a bit meaner—but only to Church).

Once everything was ready, I activated them all. As they materialized into the room, I watched them take in their new existence.

"Hello, everyone," I greeted.

"Hello," Delta responded, calm and composed.

"Hi!" Theta chirped, full of energy.

"Hello, sir," Eta and Iota spoke in unison, efficient and professional.

"Hey," Gamma said casually.

Omega didn't speak, just gave a silent nod of acknowledgment.

"Hello, Creator," Sigma said formally.

Beta smirked. "Sup, boss?"

I smiled at them

"Hello everyone, You all know your tasks, but take a day to familiarize yourselves with the base and the people inside it," I said.

They all nodded in understanding.

"Church," I called out.

He appeared instantly, looking exhausted.

"Finally! More of me. You have no idea how hard Ed works me," Church grumbled.

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Just show them around the base and introduce them to everyone."

"Fine, whatever. Let's go, newbies," Church muttered before leading the AI out of the room.

Once they were gone, I turned my attention to another matter. I ordered a suit for myself and a dress for Anissa. She had been staying inside the base all this time, barely stepping outside. Since I was heading out to a party, I figured she could use a break too. A little fun wouldn't hurt.

Toshinori's POV

I sat in the apartment of a potential new recruit—Harleen Quinzel. She was being considered for the role of a therapist, someone to provide support to the kids and anyone else who might need it. It had been an hour since I arrived, and she still hadn't come home. In the meantime, I busied myself reading one of her many books on psychology. I had to admit, I was impressed by the sheer number she owned.

Finally, I heard the door open. She entered, carrying groceries, looking completely exhausted. Without even glancing around her apartment, she slumped into a chair at her table, exhaling deeply.

Then, her gaze lifted, and she spotted me. Her eyes widened in shock, and for a moment, it looked like she was about to scream—until recognition set in.

"Hello, young lady, I am—"

"All Might!" she blurted out, her exhaustion momentarily replaced by excitement.

I chuckled. "Yes, that's me."

"Oh my gosh, I love you! What are you doing here?" she asked, eyes gleaming with enthusiasm.

"I heard you're looking for a job. My friend wants to hire you," I explained.

"Your friend?" she repeated, clearly surprised.

"Yes, even superheroes have friends! Hahaha!" I laughed heartily.

"Right, sorry, just caught off guard," she admitted, shaking her head.

"It's all right. The job is to be a therapist for some kids who need it—and others, too," I said.

"Kids?" she asked, her interest piqued.

"Yes. I can't tell you too much unless you join, but they really need a therapist, and my friend believes you'd be the best fit for them," I said.

She was silent for a moment, clearly deep in thought.

"This sounds interesting... but will there be danger? I mean, working with superheroes?" Harleen asked, a hint of concern in her voice.

"We have a secret base that no one knows about. It's heavily defended," I assured her.

She hesitated before nodding. "Can I have a few days to think about it? This is a big decision, and I don't want to rush into things."

"Of course. I'll be back in four days," I said.

"Okay, I should have my decision by then," she confirmed.

"Good. See you in four days. Church, open the Ground Bridge," I commanded.

A glowing portal appeared behind me. I stepped into it, reappearing at the base just as it closed behind me.

The moment I arrived, I felt my body weaken. My muscular form faded, and I coughed up a bit of blood. I had overdone it today. Before visiting Harleen, I had been out doing hero work—probably more than my body could handle.

I wiped the blood away, sighing.

I really hoped she said yes.

Those kids needed to heal—mentally as much as physically.

Ed POV

It took some convincing—okay, a lot of convincing—but Anissa finally said yes.

We weren't at the base anymore. Instead, we were at my mansion, where our outfits had been delivered. Now, it was time to get ready. I was dressed in a classic black suit with a bow tie, keeping it simple but elegant. Before leaving, I decided to leave Nooroo's Miraculous with Marlize. I'd get it back when I returned to the base. Bringing it with me to a high-profile event didn't seem like the best idea.

Once I was ready, I waited by the front door for Anissa. It took a few minutes, but eventually, she appeared, dressed in a stunning black gown.

"You look lovely," I said.

She smiled. "Thanks. I like the dress. You clean up nicely too."

After exchanging compliments, we headed to the garage. This time, I chose a Ferrari. And before you say anything—yes, it was red, like Dino from Transformers. Don't judge me. I'm rich in this life, and I'm a nerd. What did you think I was going to do? And no, I didn't buy all my cars to match the Transformers movies… but I did buy a lot.

We'll talk about that another time.

As I drove, I talked to Anissa about Tony Stark and how much of a womanizer he was.

"There's a high chance that if he sees you, he's going to try and flirt with you… probably to get you into bed," I warned.

She made a face. "This human sounds disgusting."

"He definitely is. But once he got to the right phase of his life, he will be a good man."

She didn't respond, just sat quietly, thinking.

"Just don't break anything when he does talk to you. He's arrogant."

"Fine. But I will not be nice to him," she stated firmly.

I smirked. "That's cool. I wasn't asking you to."

The drive took about an hour, but when we arrived, the building was massive. It wasn't Stark Tower, just a venue they owned or rented out for events. I pulled up in front of the entrance, handing my keys to the valet.

We approached a man with a guest list at the front.

"Hello, sir. Your name?" he asked.

"Edward Valtheris, and this is my plus one," I replied.

He scanned the list, then nodded.

"Ah, Mr. Valtheris. You may go in. Enjoy the party."

I gave him a slight nod in return before leading Anissa inside.

The security was tight, but that was expected. The main hall was massive, filled with people who looked important. There were elegant tables, a bar, and plenty of waitstaff moving about. We made our way to the bar first.

I ordered a cold water, while Anissa opted for scotch. I wasn't much of a drinker, and technically, I was only 18—not that I expected anyone to check my ID here.

After getting our drinks, we found an empty table and sat down. As I casually observed the room, a few familiar faces stood out to me—Lena Luthor, Emma Frost and her daughters, Reed Richards, Johnny Storm, Susan Storm, Ben Grimm, Norman Osborn, and even Bruce Wayne.

I kept my expression neutral, but internally, I was surprised. Emma Frost having daughters was unexpected—they had to be clones.

Anissa must have noticed my reaction. "Something wrong?"

"Depends. Are you immune to mind reading?"

She gave me a knowing look. "Somewhat. I built a mental shield a long time ago while fighting a race with that ability."

I nodded. "Good, because we've got telepaths in the room."

Her eyes subtly scanned the area. "Where?"

"Try not to make it obvious," I warned, subtly gesturing toward a nearby table. "Over there."

She followed my gaze to Emma Frost and her daughters—Esme, Celeste, Phoebe, Irma, and Sophie. Emma looked like she was in her early thirties, while her daughters appeared to be in their early twenties. They looked exactly like they did in The Gifted TV show—except all of them were here, not just three.

That was… interesting.

I had felt bad for them in the show, but I couldn't deny how dangerous they were together. And Emma herself? Well, she looked exactly like her X-Men: First Class counterpart. Stunningly beautiful. It wasn't hard to see why men would fall for her.

"Are they our enemies?" Anissa asked.

I exhaled slowly. "That depends on what her goals are. I can make some guesses, but I don't have a clear answer. What I do know is that the Hellfire Club will be our enemy one day."

She arched a brow. "Hellfire Club?"

I nodded. "The Hellfire Club is a group of powerful individuals who seek to obtain and exert influence through politics and economics rather than direct conquest. Since its foundation, they've been involved in wars, assassinations, and secret dealings. The organization is run by the Inner Circle, whose leaders take on chess-themed titles—Black King, White King, Black Queen, White Queen, followed by Bishops and Knights."

Anissa listened intently, her gaze shifting back to Emma Frost.

This night was going to be very interesting.

Anissa took a sip of her drink, her eyes scanning the room.

"These people sound like trouble," she muttered.

I nodded. "They definitely are. The real problem is, I don't know what their members will be like. Are they all powerful mutants? Or will some of them be non-mutants with abilities we can't predict? If one of them turns out to be a magic user, we'll be in even bigger trouble."

She raised an eyebrow. "Why? We have a magic user as well."

"Yeah, but the one I'm thinking of is way older and far more powerful than Sabrina," I said.

Anissa frowned slightly. "So… they're going to be a serious problem, aren't they?"

"Most definitely. But one problem at a time. They don't know we're aware of them yet, so for now, we focus on getting stronger and gathering more allies. Then, when the time is right, we take them down."

She nodded in understanding.

"For now, let's not engage them. Let's just enjoy our time here," I said.

Anissa smirked, raising her glass. "I'll drink to that."

I chuckled, taking a sip of my water.

Even though Emma Frost and her daughters might become my enemies, I couldn't ignore the fact that Emma wasn't always bad in the comics. I remembered that she once opened a school for mutants, just like Xavier. She also deeply loved her brother. If I could figure out her true goals, there was a chance I could convince her to be an ally instead.

For now, though, I had to keep my guard up.

One thing still bugged me—her daughters. They were definitely clones, no doubt about it. Emma was their mother, but the real question was… who was their father?

I remembered that they were created as part of a weapons program. If my theory was correct, I had a pretty good idea of who their father might be. But I couldn't be 100% sure yet. First, I had to find him. Fortunately, with the new AIs I had developed, tracking him down would be much easier.

My gaze shifted to another familiar face—Lena Luthor. She was beautiful, standing alone, not engaged in conversation with anyone. This was a rare chance to talk to her, and I wasn't going to waste it.

"I'll be back," I told Anissa. "I want to go talk to someone."

She nodded, sipping her scotch.

I walked over to Lena, offering my hand. "Hello, Ms. Luthor."

She looked at me with mild curiosity before shaking my hand. "Hello."

"My name is Edward Valtheris."

Her eyebrows lifted slightly. "You're Valtheris? I didn't expect you to be so young."

I chuckled. "I get that a lot."

"Well, I'm glad to finally meet one of my investors," she said.

"And I'm glad to finally meet you, Ms. Luthor. You can just call me Ed."

She smirked slightly. "Well, if I can call you Ed, then you can call me Lena."

"Very well, Lena."

She crossed her arms and tilted her head slightly. "I have to ask—what made you invest in LuthorCorp? Not a lot of people are willing to take that risk."

I smiled. "That's simple—because of you."

Her eyes narrowed slightly. "Me?"

"Yeah. Let's just call it a gut feeling. I think you'll do great things."

She scoffed lightly, shaking her head. "Not many people would say that, especially with the Luthor name attached to me."

I shrugged. "Your brother's crimes aren't yours. I believe people should be judged by their own actions, not by their family name."

Lena's expression softened slightly. "I wish more people thought like you, Ed. My life would've been a lot easier."

"Maybe. But you can prove them all wrong by doing good."

She smiled at that.

To this day, I still didn't understand why the Supergirl writers never gave her a real relationship. Any sane person would fall for this woman—she was brilliant, kind, and fiercely loyal. She had literally sent her mother to jail and killed her own brother to protect her friends.

She wasn't just a good person—she was a ride-or-die friend.
