Chapter 309: Trouble Again.
"How dare you!"
Gabriel shouted, rising from the ground with his hand ablaze in a fierce icy glow.
Alec, on the other hand was already prepared for any potential attack, as he summoned his tattoos and was transforming them into his Salamander armor set.
But before they could clash, Grace stepped in between them, placing her hands on Gabriel and causing his spells to dissipate as if they were never cast.
A smile remained on Grace's face as she looked at her brother.
"You don't want to mess up now, do you?" She drew closer, whispering something in Gabriel's ear, a smile still playing on her lips.
Alec strained to hear, but the words escaped him.
All he knew was that Gabriel no longer had any intention of attacking.
Gabriel snorted and turned his gaze elsewhere, prompting Alec to retract his armor set, feeling the imminent danger had passed.
"No, you should have allowed us attack first, now they got the kill. " Lucas complained, throwing a tantrum as he gripped his sword.
The attention, however, turned to the Knight who walked over, the twins were surprised because they didn't see him leaving ,but now he was carrying the severed head of another Orc.
And He tossed it at Gabriel's feet.
"Your mess, I cleaned it up," Knight proclaimed as he approached the rest of his group
Which was with Brandon, Lucas, and Arthur - who had distanced themselves from Gabriel and Grace.
"What do you mean 'my mess'?" Gabriel burst out in an angry fit.
"I killed all the Orcs while you were all hesitating!, You should be thanking me!, As a Tier 4 Mage, it's insulting to take orders from someone weaker than me."
Alec, seething with frustration, snapped back in the heat of the moment.
"And so what?, Deal with it, I never asked you to be part of my team in the first place, nor did I ask for your volunteerism when I invited people to go Orc hunting with me."
"So, you don't have the right to bitch and moan when I give orders. This is practically my own team, dumbass."
Alec was in the midst of speaking when Gabriel abruptly flashed in front of him, gripping his collars tightly.
"Call me dumbass once more!" Gabriel growled, his eyes burning with anger.
"Dumbass..." Alec replied coolly, unphased by Gabriel's aggression.
"If you weren't such a dumbass, you would have actually listened to my orders, But don't worry, I had Knight clean up your mess."
With a dismissive snort, Gabriel pushed Alec backward.
Dusting off his robes, Alec adjusted his clan Insignia while mocking Gabriel.
"There were five Orcs, Four came out to test the waters, while the last one was meant to deliver the news, You could have gotten us in serious trouble, because no matter how strong you are, there's no way you could face about twenty Tier 3 Orcs alone. Or can you?" Alec laughed, taunting Gabriel.
Grace stepped forward, finally speaking up to defend her brother.
"I'm sorry for my brother's actions, but look at the big picture. It led us to kill the Orcs faster."
However, Alec had other concerns.
He noticed Legion approaching him, surprising Gabriel, Grace, and Lucas. Discover hidden content at My Virtual Library Empire
The Gordons clansmen's expressions hinted at their familiarity with the golem as Alec had released Legion long ago, unbeknownst to the new members, as he allowed it to quietly follow them.
Legion whispered into Alec's ear, causing him to turn towards Grace as he spoke.
"No, the only thing your brother brought us is an unprepared battle, The Orcs are already aware of us," Alec stated.
"That can't be possible!" Gabriel shouted in disbelief.
Alec simply pointed his hand towards the cave entrance, revealing the rest of the Orcs emerging, armed and glaring menacingly at Alec's group.
"Lû groth hâzûk. (Kill them all.)" The Hunter Orc leader commanded, and the remaining twenty-three Orcs charged towards the group with fierce determination.
"Let's do this," Alec declared, summoning the Salamander set in its entirety.
As he did, his hair transformed into a vibrant crimson red, with black tips.
The red now dominated his hair color, replacing the majority of the black.
"I thought you would never ask!" Lucas exclaimed, finally getting a chance to draw his sword.
Grace and Gabriel moved back, distancing themselves from the impending battle.
"Let's see how you beg for my help," Gabriel taunted, but Alec paid no attention to him.
"Now!" Alec commanded, and Brandon stepped forward.
[< Low Tier Spell - Rumble >]
He channeled earth mana from his body, causing the ground to tremble and sending shockwaves towards the Orcs, destabilizing their movements.
Brandon then moved in, launching precise strikes from his saber and sword, successfully pushing back two Orcs injured.
However, he was suddenly struck hard by one of the Orcs, sending him flying backward.
Lucas, slightly slower than Brandon, unleashed beams of sword light infused with his Qi, decapitating three Orcs before finding himself confronted by a formation of five Orcs, keeping him at bay.
Alec swiftly dove towards the Hunting Orc leader, swinging his Changdao and releasing an arcane flame towards the Orc.
He had attempted to combine his flame innate spell with the Changdao, and it worked perfectly.
However, the leader proved to be underestimated as he kicked the ground, sending waves of sand waves towards Alec, disrupting his vision.
Alec pondered how the Orc planned to counter his arcane flame, and secretly wished to at least inflict a few burns on his opponent.
Suddenly, a tingling sensation filled Alec's senses as he detected someone breaching his ten-meter mental detector.
An Orc wielding a sword aimed a low and dirty strike, intending to sever Alec's legs.
Seeing the malicious move, Alec decided it was time to unleash his full power and summoned Titan.
Despite his initial intention to conceal his full strength until he could assess what the twins, Gabriel and Grace, were up to, he realized that most people were already aware of the fact that he had Titan and Legion as they were his main golems.
The moment Titan materialized, he spotted the incoming sword and swiftly launched himself towards it.
Landing on the tip of the blade, he exerted his power, causing frost to cover the weapon as he pushed forward.
With a knee strike to the Orc's jaws, Titan sent the Orc staggering backwards, only to be met with a spear piercing his heart from behind.
Legion revealed himself, a satisfying smile on his face.
"Nice teamwork!" Legion commended, removing the spear and allowing the Orc to meet his demise.
"Kill stealer," Titan snorted, his hand swinging to smash his mace into the skull of another Orc attempting to approach Alec and disrupt his fight with the Orc leader that was still on going.
Suddenly, the Orc leader appeared out of nowhere, launching a shoulder jab followed by a cleave of his axe towards Alec.
Reacting swiftly, Alec narrowly dodged the axe attack, after being hit by the shoulder attack.
Seizing the opportunity, Alec swung his blade at the Orc's neck, causing him to recoil and release his weapon.
Determined, the Orc lunged low, gripping Alec's waist in an attempt to overthrow him.
Undeterred, Alec countered by striking the hilt of the Changdao against the Orc's back, before forcefully throwing his own blade aside.
" arrggh"
With a firm grip on the Orc's waist, Alec utilized his immense strength to lift him high and forcefully slam him to the ground.
And Summoning the Changdao, which flew back into his waiting hands, and without hesitation, he drove it straight into the Orc's head, ending his life.
