Chapter 163
163. Mila-san’s Strength
Mila-san and I stepped outside the house, facing each other in a slightly open area.
“Well, I’m ready whenever. Come at me, both of you.”
Mila-san did a light warm-up and then curled her finger provocatively toward us.
“Both of us? I thought I’d be the only one fighting…”
“That’s bold of you. But I wonder how long you’ll keep that attitude?”
Mila-san looked completely at ease. It didn’t seem like she was getting ready to fight at all.
“Then, let’s take you up on that—Let’s go, Raize!”
“Got it!”
Raize and I exchanged a glance. As usual, I would take the front, and Raize would cover from the back.
I kicked off the damp forest ground and closed in on Mila-san. First, I’d test her with hand-to-hand combat!
Leaping up right in front of her, I aimed a roundhouse kick straight at her face.
“Not a bad kick.”
But in the blink of an eye, my kick stopped—or rather, was stopped.
Just before landing, Mila-san caught my foot with her hand, effortlessly, without a hint of struggle.
“But roundhouse kicks aren’t ideal. What will you do if someone catches you like this?”
She was right—being caught left me unable to make my next move.
Mila-san released my foot and threw me to the ground. I rolled, quickly recovering my stance.
“Come at me seriously. Otherwise, there’s no point in this.”
With her arms crossed, Mila-san spoke with unwavering composure.
That brief exchange alone was enough to show her strength. Stopping a kick head-on like that requires incredible reflexes and power.
In that case—we’ll go all out too!
I unsheathed my sword and closed the distance toward Mila-san again.
“Oh? Now that’s the right move. You should’ve done that from the start.”
“Uoooooh!”
I let out a roar and swung my sword down. Mila-san smirked, her gaze locked on the blade.
The sword came slashing downward, but it hit nothing—Mila-san dodged it at the last second.
“Is that really your best? Surely not.”
I kept swinging desperately, but she avoided every strike as if reading my every move.
Not even a graze. None of my attacks landed.
“Arcs, fall back!”
I heard Raize’s voice from behind. Regaining my composure, I retreated as instructed.
“
With Raize’s chant, a wave of ice surged toward Mila-san.
The goal was to hinder her movement and attack from a distance, knowing close combat wouldn’t work.
“Smart move. But still a bit lacking.”
As the wave of ice neared, Mila-san raised her hand high.
In that instant, a massive red magic circle appeared before her, more than a meter in diameter—fire attribute!
“No way… How is that even possible!?”
Raize gasped, seeing the magic circle. I had no idea what it meant, but it was shocking to him.
“What’s so surprising? If you can’t do this much, you’re not worth talking to—
In a flash, a giant fireball formed from the magic circle, hurtling straight at the ice wave.
Mila-san’s fireball melted the ice with overwhelming power, leaving it unable to reach her.
“Impossible… Activating
“You’ll be even more surprised. Look closely.”
Then, both Raize and I were stunned by what we saw next.
As the red magic circle vanished, four new circles appeared.
The colors—blue, green, orange, and purple—signified that Mila-san could control water, wind, earth, and lightning attributes along with fire.
“She can use five attributes!? That’s insane—I’ve never heard of such a thing!”
“I’ll teach you. My skill is
She could make anything she imagined real—!?
What kind of broken ability was that!? If imagination becomes reality, then—
“Boom, teleport.”
Before we realized it, Mila-san was already behind us. We had no chance to react—
“That’s game over.”
Her hand struck me, and everything went black as I lost consciousness.
