The Domineering Female CEO

Chapter 16: chapter 16

Xavier's POV:

As I sat across from Eliana at the restaurant, I couldn't help but feel a sense of attraction towards her. She was smart, beautiful, and had a spark in her eyes that I couldn't ignore.

I reached out and took her hand, my fingers intertwining with hers. "Eliana, I want you to know that I'm sorry for what happened that night. I took advantage of you, and I'm truly sorry."

Eliana's eyes locked onto mine, and for a moment, I thought I saw a glimmer of hope. But then her expression hardened, and she pulled her hand away.

"I appreciate your apology, Xavier. But I think it's best if we just focus on our professional relationship from now on."

I nodded, feeling a pang of disappointment. But I knew I had to respect her boundaries.

Eliana's POV:

As I sat across from Xavier, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. He was apologizing for what happened that night, but I couldn't shake the feeling that he was still attracted to me.

I pulled my hand away, trying to create some distance between us. "I appreciate your apology, Xavier. But I think it's best if we just focus on our professional relationship from now on."

Xavier nodded, his eyes locked onto mine. For a moment, I thought I saw a glimmer of disappointment, but then his expression hardened.

"I understand," he said, his voice cool and detached. "I'll respect your boundaries, Eliana."

I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. Maybe, just maybe, we could keep our relationship professional after all

Eliana's eyes narrowed slightly as she asked, "Xavier, can I ask you something?"

Xavier's expression turned curious. "Of course, Eliana. What is it?"

Eliana's voice was measured. "What's your relationship with Tiana and Rubby?"

Xavier's expression turned neutral. "We're colleagues. We work together on various projects."

Eliana's eyes sparkled with skepticism. "Just colleagues?"

Xavier's lips curled into a small smile. "Well, I think it's safe to say that Tiana has a bit of a crush on me."

Eliana's eyebrows shot up. "A crush?"

Xavier nodded. "Yes. But I've never encouraged her. We're just friends."

Eliana's gaze turned thoughtful. "And what about Rubby? What's his relationship with you?"

Xavier's expression turned amused. "Rubby's a bit of a different story. I think she's more interested in Elvis than me."

Eliana's eyes widened in surprise. "Really?"

Xavier nodded. "Yes. Rubby's always been a bit of a flirt, and she's definitely got her sights set on Elvis."

Eliana's gaze turned thoughtful as she processed this new information. She wasn't sure what to make of Xavier's relationships with Tiana and Rubby, but she was determined to keep a close eye on things.
