NOVEL NEXT Chapter 8: Voices of the Past.
On our continuous journey we met Shiki more than once. He always tried to fight and defeat Roger and would offer to join him in his journey to rule the seas. Roger as always defeated him or had a tie before saying his refusal each time.
It was funny to watch them fight and bicker like this each time they meet. It was a great journey as we finally reached Sabaody the end of Paradise. We had to cause a distraction first to avoid alerting the Marines staying there.
This task to cause trouble on a different grove of Sabaody as we disguised our ship to enter Sabaody from a different place was given to Rayleigh.
During the time our ship was being coated we either relaxed on the Island, practiced our skills or partied hard. Rayleigh was never with us since we landed here. He started coming late and left early everytime we saw him.
I as a traverser didn't care as I knew the existence of Shakky, still out of curiosity to see the younger version of Shakky I found her bar and damn!. What do I even say...she was beautiful. Now I know what made the right hand man of the Pirate King stay in Sabaody after retirement, I sighed with a blush.
I gave Rayleigh a big thumbs up in my mind and left. This was all seen by Rayleigh and Shakky as they both chuckled at my behavior of seeing Shakky and blushing.
"This kid's growing up too quickly, I guess" Rayleigh sighed shaking his head.
It took some day but the coating was finally finished. We all went aboard and started to dive under the sea, excited to see the Fishmen Island the only acess for us to reach the Second half of the Grand Line—The New World.
After some days of proper navigation we reached 10,000 feet below the sea only to find a glamorous and colorful city underwater covered with a bubble like a protective film ove the country.
After landing there we met many different murlocks, and fishmen there and started to explore the Island. On the way we...no!...Roger helped King Neptune and befriended him.
As everyone scattered away to enjoy. Roger and other senior cadres asked Neptune about the ponegliff placed her on Fishmen Island and he happily agreed. I stayed with them as I saw no one cared, me still being here.
When king Neptune guided us Roger and others inspected the Ponegliff. Roger could hear broken pieces or incomplete words from Ponegliff as he had Voice of all things at a (Mastery) level.
I suddenly wanted to show off my Voice of All Things at (Top) level. I went towards the Ponegliff and touched it gently with one hand, and as soon as I did it I saw visions and my Conqueror's Haki was unleashed unconsciously.
Realising my mistake I was startled back and suppressed my Haki forcefully as quick as I could. My uncontrolled Conqueror's Haki burst startled everyone present.
(That was a stupid decision trying to show off) I said to myself and started thinking a believable reason for my actions.
Before anyone could speak "We are too early" I said getting confused looks from everyone. "What do you mean Thomas?" Roger asked.
"This Ponegliff consists of an apology letter from Joy Boy to the mermaid princess for not completing the promise" I said looking back at Roger.
"You understand what's written on these stone block's" Roger asked. Trying to lie I replied "Not totally, but if we want to know what's written on it we need someone who's from Wano".
Seeing their puzzled looks I again said "These Ponegliff's were created in Wano 800 years ago". "The one we found in Skypiea mentioned an ancient weapon capable of destroying the world and the location it directed was Fishmen Island"
Hearing me saying this everyone was shocked. "How can you understand to what's written on it?" Rayleigh asked.
"I never read it" I said in an innocent manner.
Before anyone could ask anything, I showed my palm to stop them in their tracks. "It happened in skypiea first, when I touched the Ponegliff" I said. "I started hearing voices in my head about what I said earlier, I don't know what I said matches its content or not and there's no way to confirm it until we find a professional".
"At first I thought I was going crazy or hallucinating that's why I never told anyone anything. Today seeing this Ponegliff I thought of giving it a try again and It happened again"
Hearing my explanation everyone was shocked and silent. As always Roger was the first one to recover and laughed easing the mood.
"You're not the only one kid. I can hear it too, but not as clearly as you" he said gaining raised eyebrows and twitching mouths from everyone around. "What? Even I thought I was going senile" he said while scratching his head.
"What did you mean by, we are early then?" Gaban asked and everyone started looking at me. "I said that because one of the three ancient weapon mentioned in it, 'POSEIDON' hasn't been born yet"
This again shocked them further, well anyone would be. Knowing that world destroying power cannot be controlled as it, itself is a living being. This can indeed mess you up pretty bad.
"Anyway whatever you learned now...never reveal it to anyone, and keep it to yourselfs" Roger said glancing at everyone.
We stayed on Fishmen Island for some more days as the ship was being coated again to travel again. No one among us talked about the incident I caused.
We left Fishmen Island after sometime under the grateful eyes of King Neptune. We travelled few Islands and some battle. It took some time but we noticed something unusual.
Our ship's, Oro Jackson's captain and senior cadres suddenly got a bounty hike all of a sudden and the most shocking was ignoring others my bounty was increased making Buggy jealous. Only some of us understood what was happening.

Those of us who realised it looked at each other and remained calm. In the following days we got some sort of special marine attention. Monkey.D.Garp now as Vice-Admiral again started chasing our tail.
