The Disastrous Life of Saiki

**Kaidou:** Hey Saiki, what do you want to do today?

**Saiki:** What's with this new way of talking?

**Kaidou:** If it were up to me, I'd want to be a detective, like in the anime *Case Closed* with Conan. I'd really love to be a detective like him.

**Saiki:** Ugh, this is going to be a long conversation.

**Aren:** Hey, what are you guys talking about?

**Kaidou:** Oh, nothing much, just hanging out, right Saiki?

**Saiki:** Glad that's over.

**Nendou:** Hey, have you seen that detective anime *Case Closed*?

**Saiki:** Not again!

**Kaidou:** I've seen it. It's a really good anime, right?

**Nendou:** Oh, I just watch it sometimes to get hungry.

**Kaidou:** Huh? What do you mean?

**Nendou:** There's always so much delicious-looking food in it, so I get hungry from watching it and end up eating something I don't like.

**Aren:** That's a weird reason to watch it, but Kaidou is right. Overall, the anime is really good and exciting.

**Kaidou:** Right? (Kaidou nodding excitedly)

**Aren:** Sometimes it makes me want to go out and stop criminals myself to teach them a lesson so they don't hurt anyone.

**Kaidou:** Yeah, right?! (Kaidou says quietly)

**Saiki:** Those are really bad reasons to watch that anime. What's with this disrespect?

**Kaidou:** Well, you know, I watch anime to be more prepared in case the Black Organization comes for me or kidnaps me or something.

**Saiki:** Thinking about it, both he and the main character are kind of similar. Even their initials are similar: Shinichi Kudo and Kaidou Shun.

**Kaidou:** *Shinjitsu wa itsumo hitotsu* (There is always only one truth). Man, I really wanted to say that!
