Chapter 3: Henrik vs Veldora
Miles away from a small carriage that carried an unknown boy in it, a large and powerful dragon had just finished destroying a small clan of goblins in the Great Jura Forest. However, this dragon was no ordinary beast, in fact, this monster was the feared 'Storm Dragon' Veldora. One of the four True Dragons, the highest beings in existence.
This unconscious boy knew of this dragon, as it was the younger brother of the one who reincarnated him into this world. And soon, the dragon would become his ally.
'Well that was fun. I didn't think that destroying a few houses would take so long. It'd be much easier if I could just kill them all, but if I do that too often, Velzard or Velgrynd might come. ARGHH it's no fun doing this. Wait.
What's this power I'm sensing?' Veldora thinks as he gets distracted by a weird aura being emitted a short flight away. He couldn't quite figure it out from this distance, but he could sense a trace of an old feeling he hadn't felt in over two thousand yeas.
Not since his big brother died.
As he was contemplating what to do, a short, funny looking goblin (even more funny looking than a usual goblin) had gotten up and threw a small rock at him, hoping that a small rock, small enough to be a pebble, would cause any harm to the great beast.
Luckily for the goblin, Veldora didn't even feel anything hit him, otherwise Veldoras rage might overpower his fear of his sisters. He was too focused on this strange power. After a moment, Veldora just laughed, which caused the goblin to be so scared he urinated in his pants and fainted from fear, believing Veldora was laughing at his attack.
Not bothered by the goblin, Veldora flapped his wings and flew away, towards the carriage. While he was flying, Veldora laughed some more and let out a mighty roar. A roar that would in fact, awaken the boy he was chasing after.
"We're gonna die."
That's all Henrik heard. After planning with his unique skill [Great Sage] for a few minutes, Henrik had awaken at the sound of Veldora's roar. Before anyone could realise, he'd jumped into the air and was using his skill [Gravity Flight] to hover in the air while waiting for Veldora to appear.
'Great Sage, this power. It can only be him. Quickly, I need a plan to deal with Veldora.'
[Recommendation.
Use unique skill Predator on True Dragon Veldora].
'Will that even work? He's a True Dragon. Plus, if he suddenly disappears won't his sisters know? Why did I wish to replace Rimuru. Without him, Chloe and Hinata didn't lock Veldora away.'
[Answer: Veldora is currently not defending himself. If you were to use Predator on him, the chance of success is 81%. All other routes lead to 100% chance of Veldora killing you.
Would you like to use the unique skill Predator to capture and contain the True Dragon, Veldora]?
Even though he only had a moment before Veldora arrived, Henrik was deciding whether or not its worse possibly provoking two True Dragons because he knows that this would only work once. Plus Velzard has Guy and Velgrynd has Rudra, both of which could destroy Henrik alone, let alone combined.
'Okay, since its the only way. I'll do it. However, it's vital we don't provoke the other two. Store Veldora inside [Stomach] and let him calm down. Then when he has, let him look in my memories at manga and comics. But restrict his vision to that. I can't let him know everything yet.
When he's ready and controlled, tell me and we'll let him out.
Rimuru was the one responsible for restraining Veldora, now Rimuru doesn't exist and I'm the reason for that, it's my job to ensure Veldora is controlled.'
[Incoming in 3... 2.. 1]
"Come here imposter. How dare you impersonate a True Dragon," Veldora yelled.
Just before Veldora reached him, Henrik raised his hand and in a slow, empty voice said, "Predator."
Somehow, Veldora knew that this was an attack it was best to avoid. Yet, despite his immense speed, he was too close to the attack. No matter what he tried, it would be impossible to get away at this distance.
A dark, cold black hole looking blast left Henrik's hand and in a mere moment, had completely covered Veldora. A moment later, the darkness got smaller until it was absorbed back into Henrik's hand. Despite it all happening super fast, all the monsters in the forest sensed Veldora and his aura disappearing in an instant. The feeling of the one who terrorised them for centuries, gone, didn't cause them relief.
Instead, it caused them immense fear, as it meant an unknown entity that could kill the dreaded 'Storm Dragon' Veldora was currently in their forest. And who was to say that being wouldn't come for them next.
'Phew, I honestly thought I was done there for a second. Thankfully, he charged in. If he was cautious even for a second, I'd be dead. Great Sage, have you analysed Veldora's skills?'
[Affirmative, would you like to hear your new skills?]
'Yes please,' Henrik thought, excited of his new power.
[Unique Skill: Investigator successfully acquired.
Skill: Spatial Motion successfully acquired.
Tolerance: Holy-Demonic attack resistance successfully acquired.
Magic: Barrier magic learnt.
Magic: Flight magic leant.
True Dragon Magic: Storm Magic learnt.]
'Wow, True Dragons really are immensely powerful. Now where did those 3 adventurers go?' Henrik thought as he looked around for the three who helped him.
[Answer: he individuals who were escorting you ran away at the sight of danger].
'WHAT? Hphmm, I suppose I can't blame them. Veldora destroyed the country of a Demon Lord. What could three human adventurers hope to do. If I run into them one day, maybe I'll make them my subordinates. Now onto the next phase.
I was hoping to one day befriend Veldora properly rather than this, but now I'll have to change my plan.
Okay, although I wanted to use the fact I befriended and calmed Veldora to start making the Great Jura Forest into my nation, it seems that's no longer an option. Instead, I think it's best if I leave the forest alone for now.
Not only will all the monsters be wary of who beat Veldora, but there's a chance his sisters and their allies will come looking for revenge. Best I'm not here if they do.'
[Recommendation: the central world is largely inhabited and civilised. However, there is a small forest near Demon Lord Leon's land that will be suitable for your current needs.
It's said there's also many types of monsters that inhabit the forest. Building an army will be beneficial for all your future plans].
'No. If we do that, we'll risk revealing ourselves to the Demon Lords and that'll be very bad.
I think it's best if we go to Blumund. It's a neutral land and is under the protection of the Western Holy Church which is ran by a Demon Lord.
There I'll be safe for the time being. Great Sage, if the percentage of me being discovered goes above 70%, alert me immediately.'
[Very well. I'd also recommend withholding your aura. In the event a True Dragon comes, they'd notice your aura instantly].
'Yes, by the way. What did Veldora mean impersonate a True Dragon?'
[You're current body was made by the hand of Veldanava. As such, there's a small imprint of his power on you. That's how a True Dragon, Primordial Demon or Angel of Origin could notice you].
'I see. Okay, I'll keep that in mind. I should also watch out for Milim Nava. If she senses her fathers power, there's no telling what could happen. As a Divine Human, I can change my form at will. Best I do that so I can't be identified. Those adventurers will likely tell people about me.
Okay, then. To Blumund.'
