Chapter 38: Rebellion Against Heaven - Part 25
Chapter 25: The Hour of Punishment
Ryussei let out a heavy sigh, almost bored. He looked at the mangled bodies of Kenta and Haru, still alive, though barely. They were a mess of flesh and blood, shaking on the ground, trying to breathe with what little strength they had left.
Pathetic.
He turned his gaze to Daichi, who was staring at the scene with a pale face, sweat beading his forehead.
"Do you know anything, Daichi?" Ryuusei swung his warhammer between his fingers. I'm bored of these two.
Kenta groaned weakly, her pleading eyes searching for some hint of mercy. Haru tried to move his lips, but only a bubbling of blood came out.
Ryuusei smiled.
"Don't worry. They are going to rest... in the most painful way possible.
CRACK!
The hammer came down with a brutal impact on Kenta's skull, sinking him into the ground as if he were a rotten watermelon. The sound of the bone breaking and the scattering of the brain mass resounded through the night. A slimy puddle quickly expanded under his head.
Daichi gritted his teeth, but his face showed pure horror.
"M-Damn...!"
Ryuusei ignored his words.
He turned to Haru, who was trying to back away with his bleeding stumps.
"Come on, Haru, don't make this harder for me.
Ryuusei raised his hammer once more, but this time, he repeatedly dropped it on Haru's torso.
(SMASH! SMASH! SMASH!)
Each blow made the ribs crack, crushing the internal organs. Haru spat out blood as his eyes slowly dimmed. One last sigh escaped his mouth before his chest stopped moving.
Ryuusei let out a low, dark laugh.
"How easy.
He looked up and fixed his gaze on Daichi, who was paralyzed, his fists clenched, and his body trembling.
Ryuusei walked towards him slowly, dragging his hammer across the bloody ground.
"Now, Daichi...
He stopped in front of him, bowing slightly, enjoying the fear reflected in his eyes.
"It's your turn.
