The Power Struggle

The massive energy sphere shot forward with a terrifying speed, crashing toward Lin Feng like a falling star. The very air seemed to warp around it as it advanced, a sickly, dark energy enveloping the entire area.

"Stay back!" Lin Feng shouted at his disciples. They could only watch as their sect leader faced off against the Green Mist Sect leader's attack.

Lin Feng's face grew serious, the playful demeanor he often displayed replaced by sheer focus. This guy's not as weak as I thought.

With a swift motion, Lin Feng raised his hand, his own aura flaring around him. The air itself seemed to bend and crack under his power as he unleashed his Qi in a defense technique.

"Heavenly Barrier!"

A brilliant golden shield formed around him, crackling with energy as the two forces collided. The impact sent a shockwave that shattered the nearby trees, sending debris flying in all directions. Dust and rubble obscured the battlefield, but Lin Feng stood unfazed, his golden barrier still intact.

"Hmph, not bad," the Green Mist Sect leader scoffed, stepping forward. "But your little barrier won't save you forever."

Lin Feng lowered his arm, the golden shield slowly dissipating. He smiled, his confidence unwavering. "That wasn't even my full strength. You'll need to do better than that to stop me."

Counterattack

With a sudden motion, Lin Feng vanished from his spot, appearing directly in front of the Green Mist Sect leader in an instant. His fist, glowing with immense power, shot forward toward the leader's chest.

The Green Mist Sect leader barely managed to raise his arms to block, but the sheer force of Lin Feng's strike sent him stumbling back, his robes torn from the impact. The ground beneath them cracked as the leader tried to regain his footing.

"Impossible!" the leader spat. "How can you be this strong?!"

Lin Feng didn't respond with words. Instead, he sent another wave of Qi out in a circular blast that pushed the leader back even further. "You're not even close to my level."

"Arrogant fool!" the leader shouted, his aura flaring once more. "If you want to die that badly, I'll oblige!"

The leader suddenly disappeared into the air, using a high-speed movement technique. Lin Feng was prepared, his eyes narrowing as he tracked the movement.

The Green Mist Sect leader appeared directly behind Lin Feng, slashing downward with a blade of black Qi. The energy surrounding the blade seemed to absorb all light, leaving only darkness in its wake.

"Watch out!" shouted Zhang Wei from a distance, his voice filled with concern.

But Lin Feng was faster. He spun around, raising his arm to meet the leader's attack head-on.

"Celestial Dragon Fist!" Lin Feng roared.

A massive dragon made of pure golden Qi erupted from Lin Feng's fist, its scales glittering with divine light. It collided with the leader's dark blade, and the two forces clashed in a burst of energy that rocked the entire mountain.

The Moment of Truth

For a moment, everything was still. Then, with a thunderous sound, the black blade shattered, the darkness dissipating in a flash of light. The leader's eyes widened in disbelief as the dragon of Qi surged forward, engulfing him completely.

The Green Mist Sect leader was thrown back, his body crashing into the side of a mountain. The dust cleared to reveal the leader, battered and clearly weakened, unable to stand.

Lin Feng walked calmly forward, his steps deliberate and sure. "You had your chance. Now, it's over."

The Green Mist Sect leader coughed blood, his face pale. "Y-You… how…"

Lin Feng's voice was cold, but there was a hint of humor in his tone. "It's simple really. You just weren't strong enough."

The leader's eyes flickered with fear. "I… I surrender! Please… spare me…"

Lin Feng glanced back at his disciples, who were watching intently. Zhang Wei's eyes were wide, while Mei Ling and Chen Bo looked unfazed. Lin Feng turned back to the leader, who was kneeling before him.

"Spare you?" Lin Feng repeated, his tone icy. "Your sect has terrorized this region for far too long. The Supreme Sect doesn't forgive weakness or betrayal."

The Decision

Lin Feng considered for a moment. I could kill him, but what would that really accomplish? It's not my style to slaughter the weak just because they lost a fight.

He glanced at his disciples. They were all watching him, waiting for his decision.

"Tell me," Lin Feng began, his voice calm, "do you wish to join the Supreme Sect? Swear allegiance to me, and I'll spare your life. If not… well, I'm sure you know what happens next."

The Green Mist Sect leader trembled, his eyes wide with fear. His sect had been decimated, and now his only option was to submit. He kneeled before Lin Feng.

"I… I swear allegiance to the Supreme Sect. I will follow your orders, Sect Leader!"

Lin Feng nodded. "Good. But remember this: If you betray me, I won't hesitate to wipe your sect off the map entirely."

The leader nodded quickly, his face pale. "I will not betray you, Sect Leader. I swear it!"

Aftermath and New Alliances

With the leader now under Lin Feng's control, the disciples of the Green Mist Sect were rounded up. Some of them had already fled, but the majority were either captured or gave up without a fight.

Lin Feng didn't waste time. "You will all serve the Supreme Sect now. Any resistance will be dealt with swiftly. Understood?"

The remaining Green Mist Sect disciples, now under the control of the Supreme Sect, bowed low. "We understand, Sect Leader."

Lin Feng turned to his own disciples. "We've just taken our first step toward greatness. The Green Mist Sect is now under our banner. And remember, this victory is only the beginning."

Zhang Wei, still catching his breath from the earlier battle, grinned. "We really did it, huh?"

Mei Ling, always more composed, simply nodded. "This is just the first of many victories, I imagine."

Chen Bo cracked his knuckles. "I've got a lot more fights in me!"

Lin Feng looked at his disciples, pride swelling in his chest. "You all performed admirably. But this is just the start. There are more sects to conquer, more power to gain. And as the Supreme Sect gr

ows, so will we."
