SuperStar!

Chapter 120: A song

The disappearance of the superstar patients left the nurse in a state of shock. She stood there for a solid two minutes, unsure of what to do, before quickly gathering her bearings. She stormed out of the room, walking sharply—almost running—toward the area where things seemed to have gotten rowdy. The patient's family members were involved, some joining in the frenzy, talking about the supposed stars who were in the building. Others grew increasingly loud, complaining about the noise—a bit of irony lost on them.

The nurse made a beeline toward the doctor's quarters, hoping to find more experienced people who could handle the situation. Upon arriving, she was greeted with a strange sight: a group of doctors gathered in the break room, surrounding the hospital's CEO, who appeared to be showing them something. She even spotted the doctor who had sent her on the errand. Confusion washed over her. Why was everyone here when the whole hospital was turning into a battleground?

The doctor who had sent her noticed her, and their gazes met. She quickly said, "Sir, I went to the room, but it seems the guests have disappeared. I couldn't see anyone." Her voice quivered slightly, still rattled by the absurdity of what she had just witnessed.

The doctor, sensing her panic, replied calmly, "Oh, sorry, don't worry. It's nothing. They're fine." She let out a sigh of relief, though still confused. The doctor, seeing the look of uncertainty on her face, added, "Yeah, about them not being there..." His voice trailed off as his gaze shifted to the CEO, who was smiling like a young man who had just discovered the peak of a popular anime, like Attack on titans.

The CEO noticed her staring and, after catching her gaze, smiled at her, completely unfazed by the chaos unfolding. Without a hint of concern, he pulled his hands forward and showed her a large piece of paper. It looked like some kind of document, and he beamed as he pointed to it. "See, it's Taylor Swift's signature," he said, his smile widening even further.

A couple of minutes earlier, inside the hospital room, chaos was unfolding. The nurse who had just entered suddenly collapsed. Fortunately, Taylor caught her just in time.

"Hey, hey, what's wrong?" Ethan shouted, jumping to his feet. He quickly rushed over to where Taylor was struggling to keep the nurse upright.

"Ugh, for fuck's sake, Ethan, you've done it again," Max said, sounding exhausted.

Ethan, now at Taylor's side, helped her gently lay the nurse on the bed, lifting the woman into a more comfortable position. He shot a look at Max, clearly offended. "Hey, what did I do?" he asked, confused.

Rebecca, who had been on the verge of a panic attack, spoke up. "Yes, what did he do? And what do you mean by again?" she demanded.

Max had everyone's attention now, with the collapsed nurse momentarily forgotten—except for Taylor, who was fanning the woman with the pillow from the bed in a desperate attempt to revive her.

Max, noticing the attention on him, smirked. "Ehm, have you guys forgotten?" he started, seeing the confused looks they gave him. "I'm talking about New Mexico and the concerts—how some girls seemed to fall all over that pretty boy over there," he said, pointing at Ethan.

Ethan immediately shouted, "Ayy, how is this my fault?!"

Leo, who was also in the room, chimed in. "Hmm, well, he does have a point. Ladies have been falling all over him a lot recently," he said with a grin.

"Thank you," Max replied, looking smug.

Ethan, now visibly annoyed, shot a glance at them all. "Hey, what's wrong with you guys? It's not like I'm the only one in this room who could cause that," he said, slowly all eyes in the room shifted to the global icon, Taylor Swift, who was still fanning the collapsed nurse, unsure of what to do.

Taylor, having been focused on trying to revive the woman, sensed the shift in the room. She looked up to find everyone staring at her. "What?" she said, confused by the attention. When no one responded, she quickly raised her voice, "And can you help me here? She doesn't seem to be waking up!"

Her shout snapped everyone back to reality, reminding them of the collapsed nurse in front of them.

As they all gathered around the collapsed woman, Ethan carefully removed the mask from her face. When he saw who it was, he let out a quiet, "Oo."

Rebecca, who had been watching closely, gasped. "Isn't that Bella?" she asked, looking at Ethan with a puzzled expression.

Tree, who had been seated off to the side, raised an eyebrow. "And who is that?" he asked, curious.

"Well, she's, uh..." Rebecca faltered, unsure how to explain. She sighed, then shrugged. "She's the president of Ethan's fan club," she said, with a hint of uncertainty in her voice.

Max, overhearing, chuckled. "Ah, knew it," he said, shaking his head in amusement.

As the minutes passed and the woman still hadn't woken up, a loud commotion from outside caught their attention. Sarah, who had been tasked with gauging the outside reaction, stepped into the room, her voice tense. "Ehm, guys... what should we do? The outside is getting rowdy, and the police are here too," she said, clearly worried.

As Sarah's words sank in, the gravity of the situation began to hit everyone. Ethan quickly stood up. "Okay then, let's leave."

A chorus of stunned reactions followed—"Pardon?" "What?" "What did he just say?"—as everyone processed his suggestion.

Ethan, noticing the confusion, met their gazes with a serious expression. "Well, this situation we're in right now is bad, but if the fans are blocking the hospital rooms, not letting anyone in or out—or worse, if they start forcing their way in—it could lead to a brawl with the police. Can you imagine that nightmare?"

Rebecca raised an eyebrow. "Wait, but you just said they're covering the entrance. How are we supposed to leave? And what about her?" she asked, pointing to the unconscious woman on the bed.

Max, who had been thinking ahead, replied, "Well, hospitals usually have a back door or an emergency exit. We just need to find it. The buses are packed behind, which should give us a way in." He paused, noticing the look everyone was giving him. With a sheepish grin, he added, "Sorry, I mean, we can carry her along."

Tree, who had been quiet up until now, shook her head. "Wait, we can't leave. What are you people saying? Are we really running from the police? No, no. Also, Taylor needs to take a look at her head and what about her again." she gestured to the unconscious woman, her concern evident.

Ethan tried to convince Tree, his voice firm. "Look, I get it. But right now, our absence from the hospital will actually help everyone. It'll take the heat off, give the police less to deal with."

Tree wasn't fully convinced, still looking uncertain. But then Taylor, who had been quietly holding the unconscious woman, laughed lightly. "Ethan's right," she said, her tone reassuring. "Leaving will make things easier for everyone. Besides, I'm okay it's just a bump as for her we have seen fans faint all the time once we enter the bus just should wake up after a while we're causing enough of a scene as it is."

Tree sighed deeply, finally nodding in agreement. "Great, then. Let's get this over with."

As they moved around, getting ready to leave, Leo grumbled. "Why am I the one carrying her?" he asked, his voice filled with frustration.

Max shot him a pointed look. "What, bro? I'm the one in charge here, and Ethan's injured. That leaves you, or do you expect the ladies to carry her? You can't expect them to do that."

Sarah, who had been standing nearby, raised an eyebrow. "And what's that supposed to mean?" she asked, her tone challenging.

Mac, realizing his mistake, glanced back at the group, only to see the women staring at him. He quickly backtracked. "Eh, never mind," he muttered, avoiding eye contact. "Just shut it, leo."

Max opened the door, and as they prepared to slip out, they froze. A man stood just outside the door, about to knock. All eyes met, and he noticed one of the boys in the back, awkwardly holding the nurse as if they were trying to sneak out. Ethan, caught off guard, cleared his throat.

"Uh..." he began, but the man held up his hands, stopping him.

"Don't worry," the man said, his voice reassuring. "I didn't see anything."

Before leaving, however, the man glanced at Taylor. A smile slowly spread across his face as his gaze lingered on her. "Nice to meet you, Miss Swift," he said

Inside a tour bus driving through the streets of Arlington, Texas, Rebecca and Tree Paine sat across from each other, trying to figure out how to manage the chaos their clients had managed to stir up.

"What if we just let them issue an apology?" Rebecca suggested, tapping her fingers on the table, her eyes scanning the papers in front of her.

Tree, ever the strategist, countered, "That could work, but how would they go about it? What if they start asking for details? asking who caused it who was at fault and blaming said person. You know that's going to open a whole new can of worms."

They were deep in conversation, trying to figure out their next steps, when a voice interrupted them—one that immediately drew the attention of Ethan and Taylor, who had been engaged in their own lighthearted conversation. Both of them stopped, their laughter fading as the voice cut through the air.

The woman, who had been unconscious earlier, stirred and slowly opened her eyes. She blinked, looking around confusedly before she spoke, her voice weak but determined.

"What about a song?" she asked, her question hanging in the air.
