Chapter 115: Swifties Vs Jonesings II
Bella Turner—the self-proclaimed official fan of singer Ethan Jones. Well, maybe not entirely self-proclaimed, considering everything she had accomplished over the past year.
As one of the first people to jump on the Ethan Jones train, she was also among the first to capitalize on it. She created an Ethan Jones fan page on Instagram, which quickly gained traction, amassing over 300,000 followers. But she didn't stop there. With her growing social media presence, she launched a blog, a podcast, and a YouTube channel—all dedicated to Ethan, rallying other fans and keeping them engaged.
She even had a direct phone number for Ethan Jones' publicist. But her biggest move? Writing a book titled How Well Do You Know Ethan Jones? and selling it on Ko-fi for just $3 per copy. The book exploded in popularity, selling over 500,000 copies and earning her more than $1.5 million.
Shocked by her own success, Bella immediately reached out to Ethan's team, insisting that she wanted to give him all the money—it was his image, after all. But nothing could have prepared her for what happened next. Ethan Jones himself called her. And in that moment, he gave her the surprise of her life: he told her she could keep every penny.
That phone call changed Bella's life. The first thing she did was quit her lousy job as a customer care representative. The next? She bought a ticket for every single show on the One of a Kind tour—booking flights and hotels without hesitation. Her friends called her crazy, but she didn't care. If anything, her devotion only cemented her status as Ethan's number-one fan. With each new city, her followers and subscribers grew, and now, thousands tuned in daily to watch her livestream his concerts.
She had already been to his California, Arizona, and New Mexico concerts. And now, she had arrived in Texas, where Ethan was set to perform the next day.
Her plane had landed the day before, and after settling into her hotel, she decided to take a quick break by the pool leaving all her gadgets in her room.
Now back in her room, Bella dried off and changed out of her swimsuit, slipping into a baggy tour T-shirt with Ethan's face printed across the front. She had bought it at one of his shows, and at this point, her wardrobe was practically a shrine to him.
Feeling refreshed, she grabbed her MacBook and opened it, ready to catch up on the latest—well, not world news, just Ethan news.
The moment her screen lit up, she froze.
Over 7,000 messages.
Yes, she had gained a massive following, and yes, she was used to attention. But she had only been offline for two hours. Seven thousand messages in that short time? That was unheard of.
A sinking feeling settled in her stomach as she quickly scrolled through her notifications. The messages weren't just her usual fan interactions—they were frantic, desperate, and in some cases, downright chaotic.
@FunkeNG: OMG, Bella @EthanJonesSuperfan, where are you?! What's going on with Ethan?
@Turnup: @EthanJonesSuperfan Where are you? What's happening with Ethan? Is he really okay?
@BadBitch: I told y'all @EthanJonesSuperfan isn't even a real fan. She just used his name to make a quick buck. And now, look—she's nowhere to be found. Y'all better follow me instead. I have ALL the updates.
@ThatOneNigga replying to @BadBitch: Would you shut the fuck up, hoe? Like damn, Ethan might be going through some serious shit and THAT'S what you care about?
@ThatOneNigga: @EthanJonesSuperfan I heard it was Taylor Swift he had an accident with. Is that true?! 'Cause we all know that witch can't drive for shit. Hope she didn't hurt my king. All us Chi boys about to turn up if she did.
@BigJuicy: If Ethan Jones had just subscribed to my OnlyFans and stayed his ass home watching it, none of this would've happened. Don't be like Ethan Jones—subscribe to my free OnlyFans and stay safe.
@Greg replying to @BigJuicy: Just subscribed. Ethan Jones really attracts the best OnlyFans girls under any of his topics. I see you @BigJuicy 👀
Bella's heart pounded as she read through the chaos unfolding on her screen.
What the hell had happened? And why was Taylor Swift involved?
"Well, the news is—pop star Ethan Jones has been in a car crash with global icon Taylor Swift out in Texas. At least, that's what these pictures suggest," she said, flipping her screen to show the images.
Bella's breath caught as she stared at the photos.
The first showed Ethan carrying Taylor in his arms—her face pale, a streak of blood visible on her forehead. The next image showed him standing alone, his expression unreadable. Then another—one that sent a chill down Bella's spine—showing paramedics carrying Ethan himself into the hospital.
"Oh no," she whispered.
The woman in the video continued talking, but Bella wasn't listening anymore. She slammed her laptop shut and immediately grabbed her phone, frantically searching for more details. News sources, Twitter threads, Instagram stories—everywhere she looked, it was the same: Ethan Jones and Taylor Swift involved in a car crash.
As she scrolled, her stomach twisted at what she saw next. Taylor Swift fans weren't just talking about the accident—they were attacking Ethan. And leading the charge was one of Taylor's most popular fan pages.
@TaylorIsQueen: BREAKING NEWS: Our queen has been in a car crash, and the culprit? That boy who calls himself a singer—Ethan Jones. What are we gonna do about him?
@Bianca: OMG, did Ethan actually crash into Taylor?! And I used to like him… Well, cancel him. No one touches our queen. More importantly, is she okay?
@TaylorNumber1Fan: Ethan Jones must have done this on purpose. He knew Taylor was about to release an album and wanted to guarantee himself a #1. Please, we need to cancel him. Someone this toxic is dangerous.
Bella gritted her teeth, her fingers tightening around her phone.
But then, she saw replies from Ethan's fans trying to push back.
@Belinda replying to @TaylorNumber1Fan: Are you actually serious right now? I know people joke about Taylor Swift fans lacking brain cells, but to witness it firsthand? Wild. Did you not see the pictures of Ethan carrying her into the hospital?! And let's not forget—over the past year, both in streams and downloads, Ethan has been topping your so-called queen. He doesn't need to "take her out" to be successful. He's already leagues ahead.
Bella read through more comments, but the sheer volume of hate from Taylor's fans drowned out the few Ethan supporters who dared to speak up.
Her heart pounded.
Seeing her idol get attacked like this? She couldn't stay silent.
Her fingers hovered over her phone for just a second before she started typing furiously.
@EthanJonesSuperfan replying to @TaylorNumber1Fan: Are you stupid? Let's see you all try and cancel Ethan. You're just salty because he's better than your fave.
The moment Bella hit send, replies flooded in almost instantly. But one, in particular, stood out.
@TaylorIsQueen replying to @EthanJonesSuperfan: Please do not engage her. Also, let's not forget that she used to be a Swiftie. I mean, look at the name they're calling themselves—"Joesings." You can literally tell they're just our lesser versions. She used to be cool until she fell into the dark side. May you see the light someday.
Bella rolled her eyes so hard she nearly saw the back of her skull. Without hesitation, she fired back.
@EthanJonesSuperfan replying to @TaylorIsQueen: Yes, I was a Taylor Swift fan, and that's exactly how I know how bad Taylor is as a driver. Didn't she have two accidents in a single day before? Your fave should probably just sell her driver's license—she's a hazard to society. And about me finding my way? Oh, honey, I have found my way. That's why I'm here. I'll even save you a seat for when you finally grow up and realize how vastly superior Ethan is.
And just like that, the war escalated.
For the next hour, Bella was glued to her screen, firing off over 400 posts and replies. It was relentless, a back-and-forth battle that only seemed to fuel the chaos rather than resolve anything. Eventually, she let out a loud groan, tossing her phone onto the bed.
This was going nowhere.
Shaking her head, she got up and searched for her phone, grabbing it with renewed determination. If she wanted real answers, she needed to go straight to the source.
She quickly dialed Ethan's publicist.
No answer.
She groaned again, frustration bubbling inside her.
Fine. If no one was going to give her answers, she'd find them herself.
She pulled on a pair of trousers, grabbed her phone, and slung her bag over her shoulder. As she stepped outside her hotel room, one thought echoed in her mind.
"How many hospitals can there be? Let me go find him myself."
Meanwhile, in the hospital, Ethan woke up. He looked around the room—it was white, sterile, unfamiliar. He tried to sit up, but the moment he moved, a sharp pain shot through his head.
"Ouch," he groaned, wincing as he instinctively reached for his forehead. His fingers brushed against something rough—bandages.
"Hey, don't touch that."
He turned at the voice, and there she was—the person responsible for all of this.
Taylor Swift.
She stood near his bed, watching him with a small smile.
And there they were—two people completely unaware of the chaos they had set off online. While their fanbases were at war, tearing each other apart, they were simply here. In the same hospital room. Staring at each other.
