"Uh, it's you, Peter. You scared me." May said with a relieved look.

"Haha, sorry. I just wanted to tease you." Peter replied with a grin before breaking the hug. It was still too early to advance his relationship with May.

"So, what's for dinner?" Peter asked.

"Hehe, it's your favorite." May replied, gesturing toward the food on the dining table.

"Oh, thank you, May." Peter said and gave her a quick kiss on her soft cheek.

"It's okay." May said warmly, and then they sat down to have dinner, reminiscing about the past as they ate.

After dinner, May and Peter both went to their rooms.

Peter was so excited that he couldn't sleep. He still couldn't believe that he was in the Marvel world as Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man.

---

The Next Morning.

"May, I'm heading out now." Peter said as he finished his breakfast.

"Okay." May replied in a gentle tone, "Make sure to have fun and make some friends."

"Will do. Bye!" After saying goodbye to May, Peter stepped out of the house and headed to the bus stop.

Last night, after struggling to sleep, Peter decided he'd change a few things from the original plot—like not killing the spider after getting bitten. Instead, he would capture it in a small box and keep it alive.

When he arrived at the bus stop, he waited a few minutes until the bus arrived. Soon he reached the school gate, where he saw a big yellow bus parked.

Peter walked over and got inside. Almost every seat was taken, and at the very back, Flash was sitting with his friends. When Flash saw Peter, he shot him an angry look and seemed tempted to throw a punch. However, he restrained himself, likely realizing it wasn't the right place.

As Peter stood near the entrance, he heard a familiar, sweet voice.

"Peter, come sit here." Gwen called, patting the empty seat beside her.

Peter looked over and saw Gwen waving at him. Behind her, Mary and Liz were sitting, also signaling him to take the seat.

With a smile, Peter walked over and sat beside Gwen.

"Thanks, Gwen."

"No problem." She replied.

As soon as he sat down, the bus started, moving toward the Oscorp building.

During the ride, Gwen, Liz, and Mary introduced themselves, and Peter did the same. The introductions quickly turned into friendly conversations.

"Peter, you really did the right thing by standing up to Flash yesterday." Liz commented with a smile. She had always thought Peter was a bit of a coward, but after seeing him stand up to Flash, she was starting to see him in a different light.

"Yeah, I didn't expect that from you." Mary added, then quickly clarified with a shy smile, "I mean it in a good way."

"I know." Peter replied, chuckling.

Not wanting to be left out, Gwen added, "Yeah, you looked really cool." She said it directly, without any hesitation.

Her words brought smiles to Liz, Mary, and Peter's faces.

---

Soon, they arrived at their destination. The bus stopped, and all the students got off.

"Wow!" They all exclaimed upon seeing the towering Oscorp building. It stood tall and imposing, distinct from the other buildings around it.

After taking in the view, they entered the building, got their ID cards, and met the man responsible for their tour.

"Hello, everyone." Said a man in a white lab coat, though he was missing one arm. He approached Peter and the other students, "I'm Dr. Connors, and I'll be your guide for this trip."

'He looks exactly like he did in the movies.' Peter thought as he stood beside Gwen, Liz, and Mary.

"Let's get started." Dr. Connors said, beginning the tour. He covered various technological advancements, space-related research, and finally, gene-related projects.

"So, students, what you're looking at now are the results of genetic mutation." Connors explained, pointing to a container filled with spiders.

"These ten spiders have been genetically modified, giving them stronger bodies and webs than normal spiders."

"But Dr. Connors, there are only nine spiders." One of the students pointed out after counting them.

"What?" Dr. Connors exclaimed, shocked. He counted the spiders and realized one was indeed missing.

"Students, I need to step away for a moment." He said, hurrying off to report the missing spider.

Meanwhile, a black spider with red markings crawled across the ceiling. Using its web, it slowly descended and landed on Peter's shoulder.

The spider began moving toward Peter's hand, eventually settling on his wrist. Unbeknownst to the spider, Peter was watching with a concealed smile.

The spider bit down on Peter's wrist. If it had been the original Peter Parker, he would have surely yelped in pain and shaken the spider off. But this Peter, who had lived a previous life as a hardened killer, was unfazed by the minor pain of the bite.

After the spider bit him, Peter pulled out a small box he'd brought from home and carefully trapped the spider inside.

Realizing the process of gaining powers would soon begin, Peter decided to head home early. Without saying a word to Gwen, Liz, or Mary, he turned and walked out.

"Huh? Where's Peter?" Mary asked, looking around.

"He was here just a second ago." Liz commented.

"Maybe he went to the bathroom." Gwen guessed.

---

After leaving the Oscorp building, Peter went straight home. Since May was at work, he had the place to himself, which was ideal.

Peter entered his room, feeling an intense wave of heat and cold at the same time—a strange, conflicting sensation. He quickly removed his shirt, feeling increasingly uncomfortable.

The effects of the spider bite began to manifest. Peter started sweating profusely. He placed the plastic box with the spider inside it on his desk.

Suddenly, his eyes grew heavy, and he felt himself losing consciousness. He barely registered as he collapsed onto the floor, unconscious.

In his groggy state, Peter could almost feel the intense gaze of the spider, still confined in its box, watching him closely.

Four Hours Later.

Peter's eyes slowly opened, revealing a deep red hue in his pupils. He tried to stand up, but as he pushed himself off the ground, he heard a cracking sound.

Creaaak!

The floor creaked under the pressure of his newfound strength. Instead of panicking, Peter grinned, understanding that he was no longer an ordinary human.

Carefully controlling his strength, Peter stood up fully and walked over to the mirror.

"Hmm… now I look like a real man." He said, admiring his reflection.

His body, once thin and short, had transformed into a muscular and more imposing frame. He looked like a completely different person.
