Strongest Possessor of One Piece

Chapter 35: SPOP Chapter 35 Handling

Roger, the Pirate King. His execution by the Marines had been the most talked-about event of this era.

The execution of the "King of the Sea" had catapulted the Marines' prestige to unprecedented heights, expanding their power exponentially. Ironically, however, the pirates also experienced an unprecedented surge in strength, fueled by a single sentence uttered by Roger before his death.

The name "Roger" had become synonymous with an entire era.

This was the "Age of Roger"!

Whenever people mentioned his name, a shiver ran down their spines, and excitement coursed through their veins. The name held an undeniable allure, capable of uniting people from across the globe.

He had pushed this era to its zenith, a peak never before reached, while simultaneously escalating the conflict between the Marines and pirates to its most intense point.

It's crucial to remember that this was not the era twenty years later when Luffy set sail. At this time, Pirate King Roger had an immense impact on the world.

After Roger's death, the Marines prioritized the elimination of his former crew, the execution of his affiliates, and the purging of his relatives.

It was understood that if Roger had any offspring or siblings, this era would undoubtedly reach a new peak of intensity.

Roger was dead, but his former companions— those who had once sailed with him, shared a cup of wine, or forged alliances— still existed. If someone closely related to Roger emerged, the allegiance of these powerful pirate crews would undoubtedly shift.

And these pirate crews were among the most formidable in the Grand Line and the New World, capable of shaking the entire world.

"He's Roger's younger brother?!"

"I knew Roger had a younger brother, but previous intelligence painted him as insignificant, lacking Roger's strength. In fact, Headquarters had already dispatched Marines to hunt him down."

"How could he possess the strength to fight Dragon?"

"This man is too dangerous. He must be eliminated!"

The Vice Admirals present erupted in agitation. Each Marine understood the gravity of the situation. Strength was not the primary concern; his identity was the most terrifying aspect.

Roger's younger brother, and at such a young age!

No one knew if this Rojen would become the next Roger!

"Now, do you all understand the implications of his identity?" Kong raised an eyebrow and spoke.

"Then, let's discuss how to handle him."

He posed the question to the assembled Marines, including Rear, Vice, and Admirals, but remained silent himself.

The room fell into a hushed silence as they pondered the situation. This person's identity was too sensitive; improper handling could trigger a global tremor.

"Rojen is too dangerous. Once he reaches the Grand Line or even the New World, it's impossible to predict the reaction of the pirate crews who once served under Roger."

"Though Roger's crew wasn't large, the forces they amassed during their journey were immense, with intricate connections. They were even more formidable than the currently dominant Whitebeard."

As Pirate King, Roger naturally commanded the loyalty of numerous pirate crews and fervent followers. Any one of these individuals could pose a significant threat to the Marines.

"I suggest placing a substantial bounty on him to deter him from reaching the Grand Line. Simultaneously, the Marines should dispatch high-level combatants to eliminate him immediately!" A young officer spoke up after a moment of contemplation.

"Oh? A substantial bounty?" Kong regarded the officer with amusement. "Then, how much do you suggest?"

"600 Million!" The young Vice Admiral answered without hesitation.

"If the bounty is too low, bounty hunters might hesitate to engage this young man, and it won't incite the greed of civilians. Only a substantial bounty will ensure constant surveillance of his movements and encourage powerful bounty hunters to take action."

"Hehe, interesting." Kong neither agreed nor disagreed, simply smiling.

The officers present nodded in agreement, acknowledging the sound logic. A high bounty would not only attract bounty hunters but also mobilize the civilian population. Rojen would then face enemies from all sides, which would undoubtedly benefit the Marines.

However, as everyone was inclined to agree, a calm voice interjected.

"I object!"

Everyone turned to look, and upon recognizing the speaker, their expressions grew serious.

"Oh? Sengoku, why the objection?" Kong inquired, looking at the speaker.

"A high bounty would indeed place Rojen in a perilous situation, but simultaneously," Sengoku paused, scanning the room, "it would also alert those in the New World or the Grand Line who are closely connected to Roger of Rojen's existence."

The Marines present were stunned.

"Currently, these pirates are unaware of Rojen's existence. In fact, even within the Marines, very few know that Rojen is Roger's younger brother."

"Roger's fame is at its zenith, yet Rojen has remained unknown. If we hadn't conducted a meticulous investigation, we wouldn't even be aware of his existence."

"But if we place a high bounty on him, wouldn't that attract global attention and reveal his special identity?"

"Once these pirates learn of Rojen's identity, the consequences would be dire."

"As you mentioned, a high bounty on Rojen would incentivize bounty hunters, but it would also instill fear in them."

"Roger's younger brother— there are likely very few in this world who would dare to confront him!"

His words left the Marines in the room speechless, but they also inwardly acknowledged the validity of his points.

The officer who had made the earlier suggestion remained silent. Compared to Sengoku, his thinking had been overly simplistic, and the other's identity and experience clearly surpassed his own.

"Then what do you propose we do?" Kong inquired again.

Taking a deep breath, Sengoku spoke once more.

"I suggest maintaining Rojen's current bounty and dispatching highly skilled individuals from Marine Headquarters to apprehend him."

"Furthermore, we must classify Rojen's identity as top secret and swiftly conceal all information about him, issuing a gag order to strictly suppress any information regarding Rojen."

"Finally, the individuals dispatched must be at least Vice Admirals!"
