Chapter 33: Stark Infinity 32: Wanda's Troubles, The Ancient One [Vol 2. End]
"M.A.R.V.E.L," he said, breaking from his thoughts. "Any updates on Doctor Strange?"
A hologram projected Doctor Stephen Strange's last-known whereabouts:
New York City, his elegant hands wrapped in bandages, his face hard with the desperation that comes only from pain and loss.
Marvel spoke: "Doctor Strange, following an accident, is rumored to be seeking mystical aid for his injuries."
Tony's eyebrow arched. Strange's journey into mysticism was one of the most critical moments he remembered from the Marvel universe.
"Keep tabs on him," Tony instructed, a flicker of excitement coursing through him.
He could almost feel the threads connecting his life to the lives of these others, each moment drawing them closer to the roles they were destined to play.

Elsewhere in the base, Wanda Maximoff was in the grip of another strange, restless sleep.
She thrashed slightly, her crimson-tinted hair catching the faint red glow of her powers as they flickered uncontrollably.
A haunting presence loomed over her dreams, a force that seemed to call her from some distant place. Her powers surged and faltered, her hair flashing white, then red, until finally, she jolted awake, breathing heavily.
But the strange feeling lingered, and she couldn't shake the sense that something—or someone—was calling to her.
---
In a distant land, Doctor Stephen Strange stood in awe, clutching his coat as he gazed at the temple before him.
The mountains rose around him, shrouded in clouds that seemed almost mystical. The air was thin and cold, carrying with it the weight of ancient knowledge.
His hands shook, not from the chill but from anticipation—and pain.
His once-steady hands were now scarred, nerves frayed from countless surgeries and endless failures.
The door opened, revealing a figure wrapped in deep yellow robes: the Ancient One.
She was serene, her eyes penetrating, as if she could see the very depths of his mind.
She gestured for him to enter, leading him into a vast room filled with hanging lanterns and the scent of incense.
Strange could hardly believe his eyes; it was as though he had stepped into another world.
Their conversation began cautiously, with Strange's skepticism clear in every word. He questioned, doubted, challenged her statements on reality and mysticism.
"Do you think this is real?" she asked, glancing at his injured hands. Her gaze was unwavering, almost testing him.
He hesitated, glancing at his hands, then back at her. "I… I don't know."
With a subtle gesture, the Ancient One flicked her hand, and Strange felt a pull, as though his mind were being lifted out of his body.
He was thrown through dimensions—places filled with light, dark voids, creatures beyond understanding.
His mind spun, feeling as though he might tear apart, but with a final surge, he was thrown back, standing on solid ground in front of her.
He staggered, wide-eyed, his voice barely a whisper. "So… magic is real."
A smile played on her lips, both knowing and mysterious. "More real than you could ever imagine," she said.
But then she grew silent, her gaze becoming distant as if sensing something beyond the room. She stiffened, a flicker of surprise crossing her face.
"What is it?" Strange asked, catching the shift in her demeanor.
She didn't answer him directly. Instead, she gestured to one of the monks. "Take him to the training room," she instructed before stepping away, her expression thoughtful and tense.
She murmured quietly to herself, "She's here…"
With that, the Ancient One conjured a portal and disappeared, leaving Doctor Strange in the hands of the monks, who seemed just as enigmatic as she had.
