SSS Ranked Transmigration: Taming Beauties and The Beasts!

Chapter 122: Fenix vs a Peak Conqueror Rank Awakener

The reason why Garran decided to help Cain was because his intuition told him to do so, and he thought that Cain must have some trump cards since Cain had never shown any fear, as he also didn't think that Cain would be bluffing at this point.

When everyone heard it, they were surprised since no one had expected that Garran wanted to help Cain despite knowing the current situation was very bad to begin with.

Even Butler Zen was taken aback since he didn't expect that Garran was willing to go this far for someone he had just met. He then asked him since this matter wasn't something trivial that could be decided randomly.

"Young Master Garran, are you sure?" Butler Zen asked as he glanced at Garran with a serious expression.

Garran only chuckled at the stupid question Butler Zen had asked him. "Of course. Did you not hear what I just said?"

Sigh!

Butler Zen sighed before locking his attention towards Lucan's protector since this was what Garran wanted.

"Zen, do you really want to do this?" Lucan's protector asked as he felt that his movement was being locked by Butler Zen.

"I'm just doing what my young master had ordered me to do." Butler Zen shrugged his shoulders helplessly.

"See? I told you that Garran is the most hated person in the academy because of his busybody behavior." Lucan glared at Garran as if he wanted to tear him apart since this wasn't Garran's first time bothering him like this.

"I hope the time when I need to make a move won't happen. Otherwise, I'd make you regret interfering with this, Zen." Lucan's protector grinned, glancing at Butler Zen as he threatened him indirectly.

"Please make me regret it at that time, I beg you!" Butler Zen responded with a harmless smile as he didn't even care about the threat.

On the other side, Cain shook his head helplessly as he hadn't expected that Garran would be willing to help him out even only with hindering Lucan's protector to join in.

"Garran, thanks, but I don't want to owe someone a favor for something like this." Cain looked at Garran with a genuine smile as he expressed his gratitude since he really felt thankful to him.

However, he didn't want to owe someone for something that he could handle in the first place, that's why he rejected his offer kindly.

Of course, he would remember this kind gesture in his heart and would repay it in the future, but he just didn't want to owe someone; that's it.

When Garran heard it, he was surprised since he hadn't expected that Cain would even reject his offer. This made him think that his intuition in helping Cain was right, especially since it was more of a feeling to not make Cain his enemy.

"Once I made up my mind, there's nothing in the world that could change it. Naturally, you don't need to owe me a favor since this is entirely my decision as a friend." Garran shook his head as he insisted on helping Cain no matter what.

"Do whatever you want then, my friend." Cain said with a smile as he declared that from this time, Garran had officially become his friend since their situation before was just a superficial friendship and had no meaning at all.

Garran laughed out loudly, "Hahaha, good luck in handling them too, my friend."

"Don't worry about it, I'm still waiting for them to go all at once or one by one." Cain chuckled as he glanced at Draven, who seemed to be the leader from the nine Peak Conqueror Rank Awakeners.

Hearing the taunt, Draven couldn't help but frown and raise his hand, intending to order his men to prepare themselves to attack Cain.

However, he was stopped once again, but with a different person, since the one who stopped him this time was Lucan's protector.

"Wait!" Lucan's protector said, glancing at Draven with a serious expression.

He then added, "Let me take over."

"Alright." Draven replied and glanced over to his men. "Follow his instructions from now on!"

Draven immediately agreed, thinking that it would be better if Lucan's protector took over, as he was definitely more experienced than him and should have his own reason to do so.

"Who among you is going to fight him first? One at a time for now." Lucan's protector said as his glance swept over nine people, including Old Yan.

He then took a formation plate before tossing it on the ground, creating a massive barrier that enveloped the surroundings.

He did this because it was for the Low-level World's safety too, since if the strength was too much for the world to handle, it could damage the Low-level World and might even destroy it completely.

That's why it was necessary for people from the Main World to bring this treasure since it had become an unwritten rule to not destroy any world.

Naturally, there was another function with this treasure since it could also be used to trap the enemy as they needed to break the formation before they were able to get out from the inside.

Old Yan then looked at the three people who were originally from this world that had been recruited by his people.

"One of you, who's going to go first?" Old Yan asked.

An old man with white hair in blue robes then stepped forward as he thought that his opponent had only reached Mid-level Conqueror Rank Awakener. "Let me go first."

Looking at the old man, who stepped forward confidently, Fenix only smiled, thinking that he was being looked down upon by someone who was about to die by their own stupidity.

In a barren and desolate field, Fenix stood tall and leisurely with his blade resting on his shoulder as its edge was shimmering with a blazing flame.

Across from him, the old man with piercing blue eyes stood firm. His robes rippled as if in an unseen current, and the ground beneath his feet shimmered with faint ripples of water. His calm demeanor was unsettling, and the faint scent of saltwater hung in the air.

"You're confident," Fenix remarked, his tone edged with amusement. "I hope you can back it up."

The old man raised a hand, summoning a trident of pure water from the ether. The weapon gleamed, droplets cascading from its edges, evaporating upon touching the dry ground. "I am Velran," the old man said. "And today, I shall quench your flames."

Fenix smirked. "Bold words. Let's see if you can extinguish me."

Without warning, Velran thrust his trident forward, and a spear of pressurized water shot out like a cannon. Fenix sidestepped with ease, his agility far surpassing Velran's initial attack speed. The water spear hit the ground behind him, carving a deep trench into the earth.

"My turn," Fenix declared, activating his [Flareblade Technique]. The blade erupted in flames, extending its reach with a fiery arc. He closed the distance in an instant, slashing downward with blistering speed.

Velran twirled his trident, creating a watery barrier that absorbed the strike. Steam exploded outward as fire met water, creating a temporary fog. Fenix lunged through the mist, his blade slashing horizontally, only for Velran to leap backward, landing gracefully on a platform of water that formed beneath him mid-air.

"Impressive," Velran admitted, summoning a [Tide Wave], a towering wall of water that surged toward Fenix. The wave was enormous, threatening to swallow him whole.

Fenix's eyes burned with determination as he activated [Ashstorm Surge]. A vortex of ash and embers erupted around him, clashing with the wave. The two forces collided with a deafening roar, the intense heat of Fenix's surge evaporating large portions of the wave, while the remnants drenched the battlefield. Steam filled the air, obscuring vision.

Velran exploited the cover, appearing behind Fenix with surprising speed. His trident gleamed with an azure glow as he unleashed [Aqua Pierce], a concentrated thrust of water aimed at Fenix's back. But Fenix's Sense stat proved superior—he anticipated the attack, twisting mid-motion to parry the trident with his Flareblade.

The clash sent shockwaves through the ground. Velran's eyes widened as he felt Fenix's raw strength overpowering his defense. Sparks flew as Fenix pushed forward, forcing Velran to disengage and leap back.

"You're better than I expected," Velran admitted, a bead of sweat forming on his temple.

"And you're slower than I thought," Fenix retorted, his voice dripping with confidence.

Velran raised both hands, summoning a massive [hydrosphere], a spinning orb of water charged with energy. He hurled it at Fenix, the sphere splitting into dozens of smaller projectiles mid-flight. They homed in on Fenix with deadly precision.

Fenix roared, activating [Ember Veins]. His body pulsed with molten energy, his veins glowing a fiery orange. He slashed through the incoming projectiles, each swing of his blade leaving trails of fire that consumed the water orbs before they could reach him.

Seeing his attacks neutralized, Velran changed tactics. He slammed his trident into the ground, activating [Oceanic Bind]. Tendrils of water erupted from the ground, snaking toward Fenix to immobilize him.

Fenix, undeterred, spun in place, activating [Burning Slash]. His blade ignited into an inferno, creating a ring of fire that burned away the tendrils before they could reach him. The heat was so intense that the ground beneath them cracked, steam hissing into the air.

Velran's expression hardened. "You fight well, but can you handle this?" He raised his trident high, summoning a [Maelstrom Ascension], a massive whirlpool that spiraled upward, pulling Fenix off the ground and into its chaotic vortex.

Fenix gritted his teeth, feeling the pull of the whirlpool. But his flames surged even brighter as he activated [Ashstorm Surge] again, creating a counterforce. The whirlpool and the fiery vortex clashed, creating a blinding explosion of steam and ash.

Velran used the opportunity to close the gap, appearing beside Fenix with his trident aimed for a killing blow. "It ends here!" he shouted, thrusting the weapon forward.
