Space-Space Fruit in One Piece

"This is the Goro Goro no Mi, also known as the Rumble Fruit. It's a Logia like mine."

As Eren explained the properties of the fruit in his hand, Enel's eyes widened. He had already been told a lot about Devil Fruits by Eren and desperately wanted to eat one. In his opinion, it would allow him to easily destroy Eren in any fight they would have.

"I want to eat it." He said with a determined look on his face. Ever since he had seen his brother use his space powers a few years ago, it had been his dream to acquire similar abilities.

"Are you really sure? You know you will lose your ability to swim." Eren had told Enel about the properties of normal devil fruits a long time ago, so he knew that his brother's fruit was something special.

"I don't care. Please let me eat it." Enel practically begged him, and Eren gave him the fruit without thinking.

In fact, he would have forced it down his throat if he had decided not to eat it. What's the ability to swim against the power to control lightning at will? There's no way that Eren would go through 3 hours of effort just so that Enel wouldn't eat the fruit in the end.

The moment he acquired the fruit, Enel immediately swallowed it whole. This looked really funny as he dislocated his jaw like a snake to fit the whole thing into his mouth. It seemed like he was afraid that he wouldn't get the powers if he didn't eat the whole thing.

The expression that followed was even funnier, as Enel looked like he had just eaten shit. The taste probably wasn't that far off in Eren's memory. Not that he knew what shit tasted like, but he imagined it tasted like this.

'I'm not a weirdo, okay?'

Enel finally managed to ignore the taste and got the entire fruit into his stomach. Without even chewing.

After waiting a few seconds, he transformed his arm into pure electricity and threw a bolt of lightning at the same wall that had been shattered years ago when Eren had tested his fruit.

'It looks like we will have to have this repaired. I pray that I will never let another Logia user test their fruit in this courtyard again.'

While Eren was still pitying the wall, Enel's expression had become maniacal. Suddenly, Eren was torn from his thoughts when the sky began to darken within seconds.

'Huh, what's going on up there?' Lightning began to crackle in the sky and threatened to fall on the island.

Eren suddenly got a bad feeling and turned towards Enel, only to have his fears come true.

Enel stood in the air, his whole body surrounded by lightning. His arms were outstretched and a maniacal grin stretched from ear to ear.

Suddenly, lightning struck, followed by thunder.

"I AM THE GOD OF LIGHTNING, DESTROYER OF WORLDS. WITH THIS INVINCIBLE POWER IN MY HANDS, I WILL BECOME THE KING, NO, THE GOD OF THE ENTIRE WORLD".

Fearing that Enel's mental state might deteriorate even further, Eren quickly teleported behind him and knocked him out with a quick blow of Armament Haki to the back of his head.

It seems that Enel is exactly the same as he was in the anime. Or maybe it's the fruit that's affecting his mental state?

'Whatever it is, I will have to train even harder to knock some sense into him. For now, though, a good Fist of Love seems to have done the trick.'

It would be ideal if Eren could fight someone on the level of a Yonko to be humbled, but for now, that was out of the question. Eren was still not ready to start his journey. He could only pray that this blow would be enough to show Enel that he wasn't invincible.

He had been lucky right now, because the Thunder Boy's extreme emotions had prevented him from using Observation Haki. In the near future, it would be much harder for him to show him who's boss.

"Fucking idiot. How could a single fruit make you so arrogant? I had hoped that since he kept his calm after gaining Armament Haki, he would be able to keep his usual composure after getting the Devil Fruit. It seems I was wrong."

Once every hour, Eren gave his brother a powerful blow to the head to keep him unconscious for a few more hours. After all, he wanted to enjoy the rest of his day off.

Since his arrival in this world, he had trained almost every day without many breaks. The only thing that kept him going was the knowledge of his inevitable demise if he didn't get stronger.

Otherwise, he would have just enjoyed his life in the isolated paradise called Skypiea.

How could one world have so many problems? The world will of Earth is definitely better at managing its planet. Well, maybe not, considering that it might be flooded soon, too, as the glaciers slowly melt. Maybe it will end up like the One Piece world.

Eren spent the next few hours relaxing on the reclining chair that Enel had used earlier, although he refrained from putting cucumbers on his eyes.

'So calm!' Eren thought as he enjoyed the sun for the last few hours. Suddenly, his peace was disturbed by a small spark of electricity that hit his arm. Although he hardly noticed it due to his thick skin, it was enough to disturb his sleep.

'Oh no! I slept in. Seems like it's been over an hour. Although I would have stopped by now anyway. Too many blows to the head might cause some brain damage after all.'

Next to him, Enel, who was tied to a tree with a rope, slowly opened his eyes.

"What? Why am I tied to a tree?" He complained very loudly, but Eren ignored him. After all, he could always elementalize to move through them.

"Don't you remember what you did?" Eren asked him with a hint of surprise. Until now, everything had gone well. Enel hadn't shown any signs of arrogance yet.

"All I remember is that I ate the disgusting tasting fruit and then suddenly everything went black. Can you get me out of this already?" Enel answered truthfully.

'YES, GREAT SUCCESS. It seems I managed to give him just the right amount of brain damage to cure his arrogance. Though I hope I didn't make him any dumber in the process.'

After celebrating his success, he looked at Enel again. This time with a happy expression on his face. "Just use your Devil Fruit. It's one of its most basic uses, so even you should be able to do it."

Enel just scoffed and pretended that he hadn't heard the second part, although his expression showed that he was slightly embarrassed.

Eren also refrained from provoking him

because that would not be good for him. At the moment, Eren's strength was probably much higher than his, so he would be beaten black and blue in a fight.

It seems that Enel's strength had increased by more than two levels. The only reason why he wasn't already a Low-Level Yonko Commander was because he didn't have much control over his Devil Fruit.

Once he raised the level of his Observation Haki again, he would easily be able to reach the mid-level or even high-level Yonko Commander. Enel's Devil Fruit was extremely powerful, so if he could develop it properly, he would soon be comparable to an Admiral.

The thought of being left in the dust by that idiot sent a shiver down Eren's spine. He would definitely have to increase his training intensity in the next year.

There was no way that he would be weaker than Enel when he turned 14. This meant that he would probably have to increase his Observation and Armament Haki as well as his Devil Fruit by at least 1 level. There really wasn't much time.

To celebrate today's achievements with a feast, Eren ate a whole sea king for dinner. His stomach had to work overtime to even think about dissolving all those nutrients.

The next day, Eren and Enel sparred again in the morning. This time, both of them used their Devil Fruits, and surprisingly, the fight actually ended in a draw.

Although Eren had developed his Devil Fruit much further than Enel, most of his attacks were seen through or predicted thanks to his brother's exceptional Observation Haki. Even his physical strength was a bit weaker due to his younger age.

But there was no way that this slight setback would stop Eren. The next day he put even more effort into his physical training and made Enel suffer a lot in their daily spar. The days went on in the same cycle every single day. Until Eren finally couldn't take it anymore.

"I NEED SOME ADVENTURE."

It had actually been a year and a half since Enel had eaten the Goro-Goro no mi. Eren felt that they had needed these last 6 months to develop their strength even more.
