Chapter 732: Chapter 711 ( Attack on Verbergen - III )
"You're much more annoying than I thought, though I should have expected it from the leader of the elven clan" - Sif said neutrally while breathing heavily.
It had been two hours since the battle against Ulfric had begun, and so far, the two had caused massive damage to their opponent, leaving the two rivals in a deplorable state.
"I will not fall until I kill you for all you have done" - Ulfric growled as he breathed heavily, after all, he had heard the screams outside the building.
"Verbergen will fall, and if not for my help, it will be because they are weak compared to demons" - Sif replied as the dark aura surrounding his body began to increase drastically.
"No, Verbergen will not fall, we are not as weak as you think, we are descendants of the ancient warriors who fought in the wars of the gods" - Ulfric said neutrally - "We are the proud inhabitants of Verbergen!"
"I hope you can keep shouting with such emotion, because when I am done with you, you will beg for your death as you watch me make your granddaughter scream" - said Sif with disdain as he ran against his opponent.
Ulfric quickly raised his staff and struck the ground to create a barrier around him, then began to speak a quick incantation.
Sif's expression darkened as her muscles expanded slightly from the massive amount of mana inside her - "ROAR!"
"Flora Nova!" - Ulfric exclaimed as everything around him froze for a few seconds.
Sif froze in mid-air with a static stare, only to let out a cry of pain as he shot off towards a wall.
From the elf, a powerful wave of light shot out using him as its core as all inanimate objects were covered by a myriad of multi-colored flowers.
Sif tried to get up, only to see roots begin to surround her body.
Flora Nova was a very particular magic, it was a nature spell that used the user's mana to create a wave of energy that materialized a sea of flowers. These grew from all the surrounding surfaces and began to slowly drain the vitality of their victims and transferred them to the ground, creating a much more prosperous area, although it had an adverse effect on the user, because if he did not have enough mana to maintain the technique for its mandatory duration of 30 seconds, he began to consume his vitality in compensation for the missing mana.
That left Ulfric in a bad situation because he had been spending a lot of mana during the battle with the sole purpose of being able to weaken his opponent and thus end the fight with Flora Nova.
"Let go of me!" - Sif exclaimed with a pale face as the roots began to pierce his body and drain his blood along with his vitality.
Ulfric began to vomit blood as he fell to the ground on his knees. He could feel everything around him slowly start to turn white - "No..."
"You crazy bastard, I can see how you're about to die too!" - Sif roared in fury and terror - "Do you really want to die and take me with you!"
Ulfric didn't answer, he just gave the lion clan leader a blank stare.
"You crazy bastard, aren't you afraid of what might happen to your granddaughter when you die!" - Sif exclaimed in fear as his body began to be slowly drained of all the fluids inside him, to the point that with each passing second, the more mummy-like he became - "SHIT!"
Ulfric again vomited blood as he made an enormous effort to maintain consciousness, but his eyelids were getting too heavy. He made one last effort, and with what little strength he had left, he walked over to where Sif was and raised his staff.
Sif watched with terror in her eyes before trying to open her mouth, only to let out a choked groan of pain as she felt the staff penetrate her chest with ease, after all, Sif had lost so much blood and muscle mass that her body seemed to have turned into a dry leaf.
"W-With this... my job is done..." - Ulfric muttered before falling unconscious.

"We've advanced far enough for those forest-dwelling scum to detect us" - said the demonic general while squinting - "That's why we have to prepare our defenses."
"I think you are being too suspicious, those slaves are shit, they won't be able to defend themselves against our superior power" - replied another general.
The first general frowned because he didn't like his colleagues agreeing with this general who seemed to be full of himself.
"I still say that we had better make a defense perimeter" - said the general seriously.
The first general tried to make his point clear, but no one seemed to be taking him seriously.
"I hope things are as they say, because I will not be held responsible if something goes wrong" - added the first general before retreating.
"I guess the plan is working, although I'm a little perplexed that all of us are in the same group" - said the general who refused to go along with the first general's assumptions.
"Yes, I also feel it strange" - muttered the third general of the group - "Do they even know what we are going to do?"
"I don't think so, I mean, if that were the case, then they would have separated us" - added another general - "Anyway, we'd better start the "attack"..."
The other generals began to smile, when their expressions changed to one of surprise when they heard the cries of despair outside.
"What's going on!" - exclaimed the second general as he and his companions came out of the tent, only to see how a group of masked rabbits were wreaking havoc - "What the fuck is going on!"
"Enemy attack!" - One soldier exclaimed as he watched as his comrades were falling one after another.
"I knew it!" - roared the first general as he ordered the counterattack. He was sure that they had suffered an ambush because they saw that their defenses were not enough, so his fury was clear, after all, he had decided to order to create a perimeter, but no, his damned comrades had decided to ignore everything - "What are you waiting for!!! Attack!"
"H-Hai!" - The soldiers exclaimed as they ran to their enemies.
The generals showed different kinds of expressions before ordering a retreat.
The first general frowned even more when he saw how the generals ran away, though to his relief, he saw how the soldiers seemed to ignore his orders - "Traitors to the cause, your ends will not be good!"
The generals ignored him, they just escaped as they took advantage of the attack to make everything much easier.
"Don't worry, you guys just have to fight back!" - The general exclaimed as the demon soldiers let out a roar of fury.

"Report" - Kam said seriously after arriving at the camp they had set up.
"Half of our forces are helping Verbergen's defense, while the rest are attacking the demons after reporting that they had no defenses to prevent our ambush" - replied the Haulia clansman.
"I see, remember that our orders is just to buy as much time as possible, so they don't have to put themselves in danger" - Kam said seriously - "Besides, we have to wait for Cloud-sama to arrive"
"Hai!" - The warrior rabbit exclaimed before disappearing.
Kam quickly ran in the direction of the meeting point, place where he met the leader of the harpy squadron, Lana.
"Lana-dono" - Kam said seriously - "Anything I should know?"
"Chaos in Verbergen, the lion clan is in full internal conflict" - Lana answered with a frown - "Part of the lions are on our side, while others have decided to follow Sif on her path of betrayal."
"What about the other clans?" - Kam asked as he narrowed his eyes because this was not good at all.
"The other clans have already started preparations for the defenses of Verbergen, the problem is the fox clan" - Lana answered seriously - "They seem to be looking for the sage Lua, right now they have to be checking the lion clan's mansion."
Kam frowned as he heard the sound of explosion inside Verbergen - "!"
"I'm sorry, but I have to go check what happened!" - Lana exclaimed as she spread her wings and flew in the direction of the sound.
Kam was silent as he decided to go to his subordinates so he could order support for the lion clan who were still his allies.

"They've started" - Cattleya said with a huge grin as she received the signal from the general she had left in charge of the group of "traitors" - "They were bigger idiots than I thought"
"They made our job too easy" - said Freid neutrally - "Do you want me to go?"
"Sure" - Cattleya replied with boredom - "When they die, our real operation will begin, although it is a pity that in order to complete it, I will have to sacrifice such a good general"
