Chapter 728: Chapter 707 ( Slave - II )

"Fuck you" - growled Lua disdainfully, only to let out a sharp cry of pain.

"I told you, don't fuck with someone who has your life in his hands" - said Sif as he pierced Lua's side with his claws.

"You're scum... you don't deserve to be a member of Verbergen..." - Lua growled as she continued to endure the pain.

"I'm doing it for my clan!" - Sif exclaimed angrily as his eyes turned red.

"Keep repeating it, maybe one day you'll believe it" - Lua said with disdain - "We both know you're doing it for your own benefit, after all, you're a fucking traitorous slave!"

"Why don't you kill him and let me do my job?" - A female voice said.

Sif looked behind him and watched as a human girl appeared - "I don't understand why my master trusts a filthy human like you."

"Because I'm his best card to make this shit work" - Eri replied with a huge smile, though her face was much paler than before.

Sif growled before taking Lua's head to look him in the eyes - "I guess we'll have to do it the hard way..."

"Not only did you ally yourself with the demons, but also with the humans..." - Lua said awkwardly - "Just when I thought you couldn't possibly sink any lower, you come out with this, I guess I should have seen it coming."

Sif growled in irritation before throwing the old man in front of Eri, or rather, the corpse that Eri was handling because her original self was working with her beloved Kouki-kun.

"Relax, when I'm done, he'll be singing like a canary ~" - Eri said with a huge, sadistic smile - "Besides, you came at a good time, because I've been a little upset with all the trouble that bitch has been giving me ~"

Lua's face paled as she sniffed the stinky scent of death inside a small room.

"We can do it the easy way, or the hard way, and between the two, I'd rather it be the second option" - Eri said neutrally - "Although I'd also like you to choose the first one, so I could get this job over with quickly and concentrate completely on my beloved Kouki-kun ~"

Lua slowly raised her head and saw a small group of zombies and naked, which showed their bodies corroded by dark magic.

"You know what to do, I want you to break it as slowly and painfully as possible" - Eri said as she walked out of the room, only to hear the screams of terror, pain and pity.

"I would not like to be a prisoner in your hands, human" - said Sif while frowning as he heard Lua's howls of despair.

"As long as you do your job, you won't have to be, now if you'll excuse me, I have to leave this puppet in rest mode because using my abilities from so far away, consumes too much mana" - said Eri as she leaned against a wall and closed her eyes.

Sif walked to the girl while frowning, only to leave the place, after all, he didn't want to hear what was going on inside that room because he could imagine it after hearing Lua's screams. Just thinking about it, made his stomach churn.

"Are you done yet?" - Kouki asked as he watched his companion slowly open his eyes.

"Were you worried about me ~?" - Eri asked excitedly.

"No, I just don't want someone so useful to my plans, to fall unconscious from overexertion" - replied Kouki with a frown.

Eri let out a laugh full of madness before looking closely at the boy she had loved for years - "Kouki-kun cares about me ~!"

Kouki frowned as he honestly wasn't too happy about the idea of being together with this crazy bitch

"Kouki-kun ~?" - Eri said with a huge smile.

"Let's go" - Kouki replied with disgust, although his face didn't show his emotions.

"Ok ~!" - Eri exclaimed excitedly.

"How's the plan going?" - Cattleya asked as she looked boredly at the general who was in charge of infiltrating Verbergen.

"We have a few minor complications, though it's nothing we can't work out with a little time" - the general replied as he ducked his head - "My slave managed to stop Verbergen's leader from initiating defenses, though they're on their toes now."

"That's a bit worrying, though it's not as bad as you think" - Cattleya said with a huge smile - "I mean, we can use this to create enormous psychological pressure, it might even cause the soldiers to become enraged at Verbergen's leader."

"Your planning is impressive, as could be expected from our queen" - said the general with a flattering tone.

Cattleya smiled slightly before indicating to the general to continue with his report - "Anything else?"

"No, that would be all, my lady" - replied the general as he ducked his gaze.

"I see..." - nodded Cattleya as she started to think - "Good job, you may retire, though I hope you will have better news next time, this is not bad news, but we must not have failures in this plan, after all, it is my first operation in command of our race."

"I-I promise I won't fail, Miss Cattleya!" - Generate exclaimed before rushing out of the throne room.

"What do you think, your excellency?" - Cattleya asked as she leaned back on the throne.

"Your actions were correct, I guess I left the right demon for the job" - said the high priest with a huge smile - "What do you plan to do now?"

"Create an outpost outside the sea of trees so we can stabilize the portal and make a direct attack" - Cattleya answered calmly - "Then we can use the mages without fear that they will have to be guarding the portal, which will give us greater offensive power."

"Perfect, I couldn't have thought of it better" - said the high priest as he let out a laugh - "I knew I could trust you."

Cattleya just smiled when she heard this as she stood up from the throne - "I think it's a good time to take a little break."

"I understand, I won't bother you anymore, what I have seen is more than enough to know that our race is in good hands, though I expect you to tell me when you are going to make a move" - said the high priest seriously.

"Of course, it is my duty as a devotee of Alba-sama" - Cattleya replied as she retreated towards her chambers.

The high priest stared at her silently before slowly opening his mouth - "Do you still think she is the traitor?"

"I'm not sure, but we'd better not let our guard down" - Freid replied gravely - "It's better to be safe than sorry."

"You have a point, but I don't think she's responsible for our failures, mostly because Alba-sama wouldn't allow a traitor to gain so much power" - replied the high priest.

"I will continue to watch her silently and warn her of all the strange movements she makes" - Freid answered seriously - "This may cause a conflict between us, but my instincts keep telling me that there is something fishy with this woman."

"Ok, I'll allow it" - nodded the high priest before retreating quietly.

Freid stood silently in the lonely room before disappearing from the place, not noticing how a small pair of eyes was watching everything.

"I knew I had felt a presence near me for the past few days..." - Cattleya muttered as she frowned. She had left one of her familiars in the throne room because she could tell the high priest was acting strange - "Good thing I noticed, though honestly it's useless now that I've taken control of our race."

A huge grin appeared on Cattleya's face as she pulled out an orb and tried to contact her "master" after making sure no one was around.

[It's a surprise that you contacted me after so long].

"I've been busy" - Cattleya replied calmly - "I've taken control of the demons, by the way."

[Ho ~?]

"Surprised, aren't you?" - Cattleya smiled as she puffed out her chest proudly - "That's not why I called you, though."

[Please continue...]

Cattleya was about to speak, when she felt Freid in her room. She quickly sent a silent signal with the orb so she could alert Kurama that there was someone listening.

"The truth is, I'd like your opinion, I have a slight... problem..." - Cattleya said seriously - "My brothers and I are going to carry out an attack against Verbergen."

[I see... You want me to advise you on the attack?]

"Sure, a second opinion would be welcome" - Cattleya replied with boredom, although internally she smiled when she heard that Cloud's voice was very different from the one she normally used.

[Let's see, first of all I would try to infiltrate one of my pieces in order to facilitate the gathering of information, and if I'm lucky, the weakening of my enemies' defenses]

"I've already done that" - Cattleya replied disdainfully - "Oh, come on, any idiot can think of that, I want you to give me better plans."

[Hmm, I guess you're right, though I'm going to need you to give me a few seconds to come up with something better]
