Chapter 703: Chapter 682 ( War - IV )
"Today is the day we will put an end to the stupid resistance of those filthy humans!" - Cattleya exclaimed as she smiled in front of her troops.
The operation had already begun and the other generals were already running with their elite troops in the direction of their assigned posts, leaving Cattleya alone, who from their points of view, was nothing more than a glorified sacrifice, after all, they were sure that they would manage to get a huge merit after conquering the capital, while the demon woman would only earn mockery for not being able to do anything to break the last barrier of the capital.
The shout of the demon troops echoed in the place as they all prepared to be able to attack.
"Assholes" - grinned Cattleya as she laughed madly.
"Miss Cattleya?" - A soldier asked as he sensed that he had heard something strange.
"Oh, sorry, they were just thinking about some things" - smiled Cattleya as she initiated the attack.

"I guess it's time" - said Cloud as a huge smile appeared on his lips. He could feel the taste of war in the air as the enemy troops approached, and from the speed with which they approached, it seemed that they decided to ignore the danger of the elemental mines - "I guess they want the vanguard to eat as many traps as possible while the rest destroy our line of defense, too bad they ignored one small detail..."
Cloud could feel his body trembling slightly from the excitement he felt. He was ready to be able to transform at any moment.
"Leader Cloud, Miss Rika just sent a message saying that everything is ready" - said an archer as he walked to his leader.
"Perfect, send a message telling her that the operation has started, so I want her to be attentive to the possible attacks that the other entrances will receive" - answered Cloud seriously.
"Right away" - said the archer before running off.
"Your orders, leader Cloud?" - asked another archer as the mages looked at each other.
"The plan hasn't changed, we'll keep doing the same thing, only this time the result will be different" - said Cloud with a small smile.
"Different?" - repeated a wizard while frowning.
"Yes" - nodded Cloud as he listened as the elemental mines started to explode one after another along with the sound of demonic soldiers screaming from the pain - "This time... there will be no survivors..."

"I see, the attack has begun" - Rika mused as she shook her head.
"What shall we do, leader Rika?" - A soldier asked as he looked at his superior during this operation, mostly because no one wanted to take command, and therefore, the responsibility of failing this war.
"We'll stick to the plan, after all..." - Rika muttered as she heard the sound of an explosion in the distance - "We already had this ambush planned..."
"Ok" - nodded the soldier as he frowned - "We'll just wait?"
"In the least, when the explosions are over, we will attack and eliminate all those bastards, so they will learn that they don't have to mess with the human race" - answered Rika with a cold look on her tanned face.
The soldier looked at the young girl who physically looked no older than 16, though her eyes seemed to say that she had years of experience in situations like this.
"What are you waiting for?" - Rika said with a frown - "Go deliver my instructions."
"Sorry, I'm going right away" - said the soldier as he gave the girl one last look before retreating.
"Seriously, people don't take me seriously with this young body" - muttered Rika as she shook her head - "Anyway, I better get my work done or Cloud won't let me into these worlds anymore, and honestly, they are interesting, at least it's a huge change with my usual life"
Rika shook her head to push the thoughts away as she watched the soldiers begin to prepare to start their attack when she gave the signal.
"The good thing is that these soldiers are orderly and know how to follow their orders" - nodded Rika as she watched the demons begin to move erratically - "Perfect, they are not only disoriented, but it would also seem that the leaders are beginning to give orders that contradict each other."
A small smile appeared on Rika's face because it was obvious that the supposed presence of a traitor among these generals, was causing all of them to trust their colleagues, and there was no worse mistake in a war than not being able to trust your own allies.
"Leader Rika" - said the soldier who had been accompanying her.
"Attack!" - Rika exclaimed as she ignored him.
The soldiers quickly opened the capital's gate and rode out against the demon troops.
"I'm done at this place, now I have to go to the second entrance" - said Rika while shaking her head because it was obvious that the troubles weren't over - "It's a pity that the others aren't here, if they were, I wouldn't have so much work to do."

"How!" - One of the generals exclaimed as he glared hatefully at his companions, something the other demon generals were doing as well.
Each of them was looking at the rest with hostility, as if he had seen the others steal something from him that was extremely important.
"It's obvious there's a traitor among us, and I say it's Daimon!" - The demonic woman exclaimed as she looked at the highest ranking general - "He is the one who suffered the least damage out of all of us!"
The generals looked at Daimon, who was glaring at them angrily - "I'm not the fucking traitor!"
"Your words and the current situation don't help you, Daimon" - said another general as he looked at Daimon with disdain - "Now, tell us why you suffered almost no damage?"
"Because I had a bad feeling and ordered my troops to slow down" - Daimon replied with a frown.
"That's a very bad excuse" - snorted the female general as she narrowed her eyes - "Really, a fucking gut feeling?"
"I gain nothing by lying in this situation, that was the reason why I ordered my troops not to advance so fast, and now my senses proved me right, there is a fucking spy among us, and I honestly don't care which one of you it is" - Daimon replied neutrally.
The generals narrowed their eyes as they felt their demonic power grow along with their fury.
Daimon frowned as he unleashed his power, which wasn't much different from his companions, though this was bad because he was one against all the other generals.
"I guess you guys don't trust me" - said Daimon while drawing his sword.
"Of course, you're the only one who acted strange and didn't take any damage during the operation, that's more than enough proof to understand that you knew they were going to counterattack" - said the demon woman while pulling out a huge axe.
The other generals also took out their harmas until the general of the third squadron stopped them.
"Are you going to defend him, old man?" - The demon woman asked as she looked at the general who seemed to have more years of experience.
"I think we'd better save this for another time because..." - though before she could say anything else, his limp body fell to the ground.
"Why did you do that!" - The demon woman exclaimed as she looked at the man who had killed the third squadron's general, this was none other than Daimon after all.
"Because it is obvious that this was the traitor" - answered Daimon with disdain while a huge smile appeared on his lips - "Now I understand, all of you were traitors, you conspired to not only stop my promotion, but also to be able to weaken the power that his excellency the high priest, has in his hands."
"Let's stop talking to this traitor" - said the general of the second squadron while narrowing his eyes - "It is obvious that he is responsible and now he is trying to blame us."
The other generals jumped against Daimon, who quickly raised his sword and blocked the attacks, only to let out a small groan of pain when he felt something piercing his side - "Ugh..."
Daimon slowly looked up and noticed a human silhouette with a strange metal weapon - "Y-you!"
The generals noticed this attack, though there was no time to worry about the rest, now that Daimon was wounded, it was the perfect time to be able to kill him once and for all, so they could get back in control of the situation. The best thing the generals could do, was to reveal the identity of the traitor, take control of their troops to keep their military positions stable.
Daimon let out a roar of fury when he saw how these traitors had not only received the support of those filthy humans. With a superhuman effort, he channeled all his power as he leapt against his opponents.
The generals watched stunned as the wounded general attacked with uncontrolled fury, more after blocking the attacks and sensing how a strange power flowed into the traitor.
"Kill him before things get out of control!" - The female general exclaimed.
