Chapter 48: Chapter-47<*Bastard*>

"Walking Dead at 9!" - exclaimed a man while the sound of the shots did not wait - "Come on! Come on! Come on!"

*ratatatata*

The sound of machine guns was immediate as the corpses of the zombies fell like flies.

"A pity that she turned into one of those things"-said one of the soldiers while he saw how a zombie was slowly approaching. She was a beautiful woman with big breasts and red hair. "Do you think she'll turn me into a zombie if I have sex with one of those things?"

"Stop talking and shoot!" exclaimed his companion furiously as he blew the poor zombie woman's head off.

"What a waste" -denied the soldier while he continued shooting- "Because of those tits and face, I wouldn't have minded being the guinea pig to prove this theory"

"You're sick friend"-said another while he continued shooting.

"Damage Log!" Yuriko exclaimed as she looked around. She felt more alive than ever, though this was because she had leveled up with this little massacre.

Her current level was 10 while the blonde's was 18 thanks to the constant roses they'd had with the zombies for the past few hours.

"The problem is that the number of zombies is increasing with each passing day"-murmured the blonde as he wiped the blood from his sword.

"Ma'am! Number of dead, 2!" - exclaimed a soldier.

"I want you to burn the corpses and let me know if they have families! If they do, then they will be compensated, if not, then they will be remembered as heroes!" Yuriko exclaimed as she looked around. "Injured?"

"Minor scrapes" - replied the soldier.

"Perfect... let's rest for 30 minutes and continue immediately!" - ordered Yuriko - "I want all the bodies present to be incinerated!"

"Immediately ma'am!" - exclaimed the soldiers.

"Well? How do you feel after your first session in hell?" Rei asked as she looked at Saya, who was practically holding back the urge to throw up after killing her first zombie with her gun.

"Calm down, princess...one gets used to it over time"-Yuriko said as she hugged her daughter.

"Ok…" the pink-haired girl murmured as she returned the hug.

"Going!" Yuriko ordered as she watched the soldiers once again get into their vehicles.

"Ma'am, we hear sounds in the distance!" - exclaimed a soldier.

"What are you waiting for?! An invitation?!" - Yuriko exclaimed - "Come on! Let's see if they are survivors!"

"As you order, ma'am!" - exclaimed the soldiers as the vehicles moved in the direction of the sounds in the distance.

The cars quickly drove through the empty streets of the city.

"Ma'am, the streets ahead are not clean!" - said the soldier seriously - "The vehicles in this area have not been removed"

"Reason?" Yuriko asked with a frown.

"This area had been designated as a focus of infection so the military decided to leave it as the last area to clean" - said the soldier seriously.

". . ." - Those present fell silent when they heard this.

"What do we do, ma'am?" asked one of the men.

"We have nothing left to do but check the place carefully" - Yuriko said with a frown - "Any objections?"

"None, ma'am!" - exclaimed the soldiers.

"So! Let's go!" Yuriko exclaimed as the others got out of their vehicles.

"What the hell are they doing?!" exclaimed a woman with dark brown hair as she watched as a group of men backed away, leaving a small group of children unprotected. She quickly moved to cover them or at least give them enough time to back off - "Are you crazy sons of bitches?!"

"I'm not going to sacrifice my life for a bunch of kids that aren't without me!" - Said the man who seemed to be leading this small group.

"Bastards!" the woman roared angrily but she quickly changed the target of her fury. She would then take care of those bastards, now it was more important to protect the children.

"Kiriko Obasan..." - a girl said with fear.

"Don't worry children, I promise you that everything will be fine" - Kiriko, Rei's mother, smiled. She had decided to stay in this school so that she could help the children and the refugees because she felt that they needed her. It wasn't that she wasn't worried about her family but she knew that her daughter would be safe with Saya by her side and her husband knew how to take care of himself - "I promise you children that soon we will be safe but for now, I ask you to go back to school"

"Ok" - the little ones nodded as they backed away in fear.

"... " - Kiriko only frowned when she noticed that her gun was running out of ammunition but her expression didn't change because she knew that if she reacted badly, the children would be the first to be scared and with the current situation, that was what less recommended.

"Kiriko-san! We've had 10 kills!" a man yelled as he looked at the woman. He had decided to use a different term because he didn't want to scare the kids.

"Tell them to back off...we can't afford to lose any more people"-Kiriko said as she clenched her teeth. They had tried to evacuate the school because cars could be heard moving in large numbers in the distance. It was obvious that there was a large group of survivors a few blocks away but when they were in the middle of the operation, a large number of zombies appeared out of nowhere and attacked them without caution.

"Stand back! Everyone go back to School!" - a man shouted while a group of women tried to calm the children of another group and told them to back off in an orderly manner.

"I want one of you to come back as soon as possible and prepare everything to close the gates" - Kiriko said seriously.

"I'll do it right away!" a man exclaimed as he ran off.

Kiriko just shook her head at the man's cowardly act though she couldn't blame him because the situation wasn't good.

Slowly the group continued to back away but when they were a block away, they heard the cry of the man who had gone to prepare the retreat - "Kiriko-san! Gin-san closed the gates and doesn't want to open them no matter how hard he is." I ask you!"

"Motherfucker!" Kiriko roared furiously when she heard this.

"What shall we do now, Kiriko-san?!" - exclaimed one of the men. It was obvious that Gin wouldn't let them into the school.

"What is he asking for?!" Kiriko yelled as he clenched his teeth.

"The men will become his subordinates, the women will be treated like... prostitutes and he wants you to become his slave..." the man said as he gritted his teeth furiously.

"The children! What about the children?!" Kiriko exclaimed as he tried to calm the fire inside him. "Keep backing up! Don't let those things get close!"

"They want to abandon them to their fate!" - the man shouted with a clear fury.

"Fuck that son of a bitch! I'd rather die to those things than agree to their fucking requests!" Kiriko roared as he fired the last remaining bullets from his pistol, only to fling it away, "I'm not going to sacrifice these children!"

"What are we going to do now that we can't go back, Kiriko-san?" asked a woman with fear as she hugged the little scared of her.

"If we can't go back! Then we have to go forward with everything we've got!" - exclaimed Kiriko angrily - "Together we will get out of this shitty situation!"

"Hai!" - Exclaimed those present.

"All we have left is unity!" - Kiriko shouted as she took away the improvised spear they had made to defend themselves from one of the men - "United we will get out of this!"

"Kiriko-san! Gunshots are getting closer!" - shouted a man who was on the right wing of the formation.

"Reinforcement!" - Exclaimed those present.

"That's right?!" Kiriko exclaimed excitedly. She never thought that god would open a window in a time as dark as this.

"Hai!" - exclaimed the man - "They are getting closer and closer!"

"That's right! I can hear them too!" another man yelled as he tried to pierce a zombie's head "He heard cars too!"

"Good! We just have to continue to defend ourselves and try to walk in that direction so that we can receive help even sooner!" - ordered Kiriko - "I will go to the front! I want everyone who has full confidence in killing those things, to accompany me! Those who do not have that confidence will be the second line of defense! Is that clear?!"

"Hai, Kiriko-san!" - exclaimed the men.

"Going!" Kiriko yelled furiously as he advanced alongside the few survivors he had, "Just a little longer and we'll finally be safe!"

"Help!" - Shouted a man who had fallen to the ground but before they could help him, a large number of zombies had already jumped on top of him and were devouring him.

"Don't look, children!" Kiriko yelled as she continued to advance, "Close your eyes! I promise you that when you open them again, you'll be safe!"

The children followed the woman's instructions with fear. They were terrified because the only thing they could hear was the screams of the adults that were surrounding them.

"Die you sons of bitches!" one of the men roared as he pierced a zombie's head. "Die!"

Without realizing that a zombie had approached his from behind and was ready to give him a lethal bite.

"You have to be more aware of your surroundings, idiot!" -Kiriko exclaimed as with a single thrust, she sent the zombie flying- "Do you want to have a stupid death?!"

"I-I'm sorry, Kiriko-san!" the man exclaimed as cold sweat ran down his back.

"Let it not be repeated" - snorted the woman while the group continued to advance..
