Soul Land:The Dragon King's God of Nature

Chapter 92: Chapter 92: Silver Dragon?

"Yangzi, Jinxi! Long time no see!"

Jing Shaoyu greeted his two former classmates with a wide smile.

"Heh, Class Rep, we saw your match today. Still as incredible as ever!" Wang Jinxi praised, full of admiration. "Yangzi and I also entered the individual competition, but unfortunately, we both got knocked out in the third round."

"Our supervising teacher told us that this year's Tianhai League Tournament is mostly practice for us and that our real chance will be next year," Zhang Yangzi said thoughtfully. "But when I think about how we're the same age as you, Class Rep, I feel like our teacher might have been overestimating us."

"Hahaha! How can you be so sure I'll even participate next year?" Jing Shaoyu chuckled. "If I win this year, coming back next time would be a bit pointless, wouldn't it?"

"Ah!" Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi both looked a bit taken aback before nodding in agreement, thumbs up. "No wonder you're the Class Rep!"

"Alright, enough with the flattery—let's go. I'll treat you two to a nice meal!" Jing Shaoyu said, giving their shoulders a friendly pat as they headed out.

"Ooh!" Wang Jinxi's eyes sparkled with excitement at the mention of a meal on Jing Shaoyu, "If the Class Rep is paying, I won't hold back!"

The three of them found a nice seafood restaurant and enjoyed their time there.

"Class Rep, you didn't invite us out for nothing, did you?" Zhang Yangzi asked as they were finishing up. "Is there something you need our help with?"

"Sharp as always, Yangzi." Jing Shaoyu smiled and didn't hide his purpose. "You two have a Martial Soul Fusion Technique, right? Ever heard of something called Harmonious Cultivation?"

"Harmonious Cultivation?" Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi exchanged puzzled looks, unfamiliar with the term.

Jing Shaoyu then explained the concept of Harmonious Cultivation and its potential benefits. When he finished, both of them looked surprised and intrigued.

"I had no idea something like that even existed!" Wang Jinxi exclaimed.

"So, Class Rep, you're saying you want us to try Harmonious Cultivation?" Zhang Yangzi asked, a thoughtful look on his face.

Jing Shaoyu nodded. "Exactly."

"But Class Rep, don't you and Gu Yue have a Martial Soul Fusion Technique too? Couldn't you just try it with her?" Wang Jinxi asked, his curiosity piqued.

"That's exactly it," Jing Shaoyu sighed, shaking his head. "Gu Yue and I tried but failed. I wanted to see if the ability to harmoniously cultivate is unique to certain Martial Soul Fusion pairs or if it's universal. To be honest, Xiaoyan and I can harmonize, but with Gu Yue, it's always a no-go. So, I wanted to test this theory with you two."

"Oh~ We understand! Heh heh." Wang Jinxi flashed a knowing grin.

Zhang Yangzi, however, was more focused on the unusual implications. "Wait, Class Rep, you have a Fusion Technique with Xiaoyan too? That's... that's incredible!"

"Right? It's beyond what I thought was possible too!" Wang Jinxi added.

Jing Shaoyu chuckled but didn't comment further.

"Alright, Class Rep. We'll give it a shot when we get back." Zhang Yangzi replied decisively.

"Thanks." Jing Shaoyu felt relieved and offered them a relaxed smile.

After returning to the Tianhai Grand Hotel, Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi were about to head off, but Jing Shaoyu suggested they come up and greet the others. After all, they were old teammates.

Taking him up on the offer, they followed Jing Shaoyu upstairs.

When they entered the suite, Tang Wulin and Xie Xie were in the living room chatting, while Gu Yue and Xu Xiaoyan were nowhere in sight. Spotting Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi, Tang Wulin and Xie Xie immediately rushed over to greet them with big hugs.

"Xiaoyan, Gu Yue, come on out! Yangzi and Jinxi are here," Jing Shaoyu called out.

After a small stir from the rooms, Gu Yue emerged, nodding politely at Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi before her gaze fixed on Jing Shaoyu. Her eyes were deep and clear, like a tranquil pool. Jing Shaoyu noticed her intense gaze and gave her a calm smile.

Unexpectedly, Xu Xiaoyan emerged from Jing Shaoyu's room, which caught him slightly off guard. Was she planning on making his room a permanent stay?

"Long time no see, Yangzi, Jinxi!" Xu Xiaoyan greeted them cheerfully.

Zhang Yangzi and Wang Jinxi spent over an hour catching up before taking their leave. After they left, the rest of the group began preparing to rest for the night.

Tang Wulin and Xie Xie returned to their rooms, and Xu Xiaoyan hurried into Jing Shaoyu's room. Jing Shaoyu glanced over at Gu Yue, who was unusually quiet, feeling a slight ripple in his heart before heading to his room.

"Shaoyu!" Gu Yue's voice stopped him just as he reached for his door.

His heart leapt slightly in delight, but he kept his expression neutral as he turned back. "What's up?"

"Come with me." Gu Yue's gaze held a complicated light, her tone a bit uncertain. She turned and walked toward her room.

Jing Shaoyu immediately followed.

Inside Gu Yue's room, they stood facing each other. Jing Shaoyu's height meant he had to look down slightly to meet her gaze, while Gu Yue kept her eyes lowered, nervously fiddling with her sleeve, clearly wrestling with some inner conflict.

An unusual silence filled the room, almost charged with an unspoken tension.

"Gu Yue, you…" Jing Shaoyu started, but before he could finish, Gu Yue quickly placed a slender finger over his lips.

"Don't say anything. Just listen to me," she whispered.

Jing Shaoyu blinked and nodded in agreement.

Gu Yue let out a soft breath, her body relaxing slightly as she naturally leaned into him, her face resting on his shoulder. "I imagine you've wondered if my Martial Soul is really the Elementalist, haven't you?"

A hint of excitement flickered in Jing Shaoyu's eyes. Finally, Gu Yue's first reveal!

Seeing him remain silent, she took it as confirmation and let out a small, relieved laugh. "Heh. Would you like to know what my Martial Soul truly is?"

"What is it?" he asked.

Raising her head, she looked directly into his eyes, her gaze unwavering. A silver light flashed in her pupils. "This is my real Martial Soul: Silver Dragon."

"Silver Dragon?" Jing Shaoyu was taken aback. Wasn't it supposed to be the Rainbow Dragon in the original story?

Gu Yue seemed to expect his surprise, a playful grin spreading across her face. "Seems like there are still things you don't know. Ha ha! Your expression is priceless."

Seeing her genuine smile and hearing her laughter for the first time, Jing Shaoyu felt an infectious joy, as though he was glimpsing a whole new side of her.

"The Silver Dragon is one of the highest-ranked true dragons, with a natural mastery of multiple elements—making it the ultimate elemental controller," Gu Yue explained, a trace of pride in her tone. "For Silver Dragons, all elements are within their power. So, when I said my Martial Soul was the Elementalist, it wasn't a total lie."

She continued, "The Silver Dragon is so powerful and rare that most people don't understand it. If I hadn't told you, and without our Fusion Technique, you would probably never have suspected anything, right?"

Jing Shaoyu just chuckled in response.

"Hmph!" Gu Yue scoffed playfully. "The Silver Dragon's full awakening doesn't happen until I reach Soul Sage level. So, unless I reveal it, no one will ever know."

She raised her hand, palm facing up, and a small flame appeared, flickering with energy. A moment later, it was replaced by a water droplet, then a swirl of wind, a rock, and even flashes of space, light, and darkness, each element shifting fluidly in her hand.

"Seven elements!" Jing Shaoyu marveled at her mastery, feeling a wave of awe. His Origin Spirit had elemental abilities, but not with Gu Yue's effortless command over them.

"Actually, it's eight elements!" Gu Yue added proudly, and with a flourish, an ice shard appeared in her hand.
