Falling from the sky straight above a dam.Shadow warps again leaving Sonic to fall alone at a height of over a building like a falling meteor.

Sonic: flux art: star path,flux art:void path.

Unlike void path that allows footing with platforms, star path is a new art sonic unlocked when his speed demon reached tier 4 because of recent training. Star path allows sonic to shift his speed to any direction giving him full flexibility in movement and when combined with void path you get a person who can run anywhere without any obstacles.

Falling down sonic used void path to create platforms,transferred a little of speed to ensure he can step on them and accelerated. Shadow barely managed to breath and look up before sonic turns midair from his fall and charged at him like a sniper bullet.(Warp is divided in two,quick warp one-no cast time 1000m range or travel warp- can teleport up to 100k, cast time and energy requirements proportional to distance)

Shadow:construct.

Chaos energy seeped out of Shadow's body and solidified into two arm guards and a gun.(Can't forget the gun, it's deagle btw)blocking Sonic's vertical slash, Shadow fired a bullet but it missed and just as sonic was about to slash again, the bullet warped behind him, his senses and speed allowed him to dodge.

Shadow: construct shift.

Shadow warped behind Sonic, the gun transformed into a sniper and shot at Sonic. The bullet was blocked by the tonfas but they broke. Sonic instantly mimics and stored Shadow's ability but feels no power available.

Sonic: *quick thinking* this is bad, but I still got options. Flux technique: time field alternation.

Sonic used a reversed version of the time field and accelerated time flow for himself to twice(his current limit) with void and star paths active he moved fast enough to make it seem like a teleport,rolled to gather momentum and delivered a ace kick to shadow.

Shadow begins falling but quickly adjusted and warped atop the nearby dam.

Shadow:*in a low voice* he is fast, need more speed. Flux technique: speed amplify.

Shadow's body glows crimson for bit, his already good reflexes and body speed enhanced twofold. Sonic lands in front of him stored his kinetic energy into his Conduit tier 4 art 'stockpile'.

Sonic: No wonder they needed a S rank speedsters to capture you, that teleporting with those reflexes seems unfair.

Shadow: power comes at a cost... Mine comes from the desire to never be powerless again.

Sonic: Pretty similar to mine ,I guess...*gets into a running stance* why don't you just surrender? It will make my work easier.

Shadow: I will rather die.

Shadow warps and begins running through the river Nile at full speed, Sonic rushes at Shadow at terrific speed.

The battle begins again as shadow begins as warps boulders in sonic's path which he easily avoids only to meet a kick from his left, he avoided to see a spear coming at him from the corner of his eye.

Sonic: flux art: time field.

Using the time field Sonic stop the spear, shadow warps him away in the direction they were running and turned around to head for the city. Sonic used the paths combo to turn at unbelievable speed and dashes forward again but shadow was about to enter the city, so he had to use his combination bloodline.

Sonic: Emperor of speed: stage 2.

His body transforms into energy and for a split second moved at the speed of light, instantly catching up to shadow, Sonic Delivered a horizontal wheel kick to shadow's abdomen.

Shadow flies and crashes straight into the water, rolled multiple times before coming to a stop but Sonic was already standing there. He grabbed shadow by the arm and bashes shadow through a boulder.

Shadow's mind is filled with pain but not enough to faint, Sonic flashed behind shadow, grabbed the chest and was about to end this with suplex but he felt something out of place and his concentration faltered, his mode ended and shadow used that hesitation.

Shadow: flux art:unleash.

The ring bracelets on shadow's arms broke and with a elbow straight to chest Sonic was sent zooming like a thrown stone. Before sonic could balance himself, Shadow brought out a gem from a pouch.

Shadow: chaos control : time stop. ( Chaos control basically needs a emerald and is like maximum output version of shadow's)

Time stopped in the a 100 m radius, Shadow slowly walked to frozen Sonic ready to end his life but the sound of a helicopter came. realising the low chaos energy reserves and that sonic's lose was because of that 'hesitation', Shadow used max output warp to retreat.

Time flows again after 1 min( compared to Sonic's 2 sec in time field), Sonic comes back to his senses and realises the familiar sensation of being frozen in time. A helicopter lands and the trio comes out along with Graham.

Tails: *dashes to sonic* What happened? Where's Shadow?

Sonic:*grits his teeth* escaped. stopped time and ran away. * Begins walking towards the helicopter* tell me tails is sha- *the burden of his combination bloodline arrives and combined with exhausted energy reserves, sonic faints*

Amy: SONIC*rushes to sonic*.

The next morning, Sonic wakes up in a bed with Tails and Amy right beside him. Tails wakes up to sound of sonic's grunts and instantly bombarded with questions.

Tails: Sonic! Are you ok? Does it hurt? Why did you faint? H-

Sonic:*covers Tails's mouth with his hand* Shut that robot like behaviour.

Amy:*lazily wakes up* um eh? Sonic you woke up. *Lunges and hugs Sonic* I was so worried.

Sonic:*pats her head* I was just exhausted, you didn't need to worry so much.

Amy goes out to bring sonic some food while Sonic demands answers.

Sonic: I saw Shadow time stop, teleport, swap and even buff during the fight but when I tried to mimic it I got nothing. What the hell was that about?

Tails: Shadow is like a living chaos emerald, mimicking their abilities is no big deal, you probably need to touch one before you can use it.

Sonic: Chaos emerald?

Tails: It's gem formed from*winces* solidified souls during the catastrophe. There are Seven currently and each acts like a battery for chaos energy with a additional ability like stopping time or teleporting through space. Shadow used to hunt down people who possessed chaos emeralds and used them for benefits. Shadow had come in contact with 4 currently: time stop(red),warp(dark blue),energy construct(white) and amplification(yellow).

We have 3 of them at GUN Now,1 with shadow and 2 others given to evergreen council and earth council with the other being unknown but they are suspected to be possessed by the gaia order.

Sonic: Guess, you would need to get me to analyse them if we want to fight shadow with those broken abilities with no backlash, And also... Is shadow a girl?

Tails: What? How did you?

Sonic:*slightly blushes* I was gonna slam her into the ground with a suplex but.*blushes more* I grabbed her chest by accident and hesitated then got frozen in time.

Tails: *stands up in anger* YOU DID WHAT?

The door slams open to reveal Amy looking at Sonic with anger, she walks to the bedside table puts down a trey and grabs sonic by the neck.

Amy:You seem to be cheating on me,sonic. Give me one reason to spare you.

Sonic:*sweating intensely* It was a Accident I Swear. Tails hel-

Tails skipped out of the room with no hesitation, leaving Sonic to Amy.
