Skill Creation in the Fantasy World

Chapter 165: Ragnar Deklara

Felix took a glance at his surroundings as he felt his bloodlust calm down.

The two Bladefiends corpses lay beside him, their severed heads staring at each other on the ground.

"I've grown a lot stronger in such a short time....", Felix clenched his fist as he felt the power course through his body.

"The Rank 3's in front of whom I could barely breathe can be killed within minutes now.... It's almost like I'm cheating..."

He became curious about his current power as he called out his status.

'Show me my status.'

[Affirmative.]

"Hmmm.."

Felix took a glance at his status and smiled at how much he had changed, not minding the low number of skill points as he didn't regret spending them.

'Now that I'm able to kill Rank 3 beings, I'll be earning skill points in the thousands...', he grinned at the prospects of the future where he'll be creating lots of powerful skills.

"It's just a matter of encountering them from now on... but this much is enough for today."

"Map."

He activated the map skill as a screen emerged to show the paths and ways of the surroundings around him.

"Huh? Another swarm?"

A group of red dots gathered together at the edge of the map. Their movements were slow and gradual as they moved in random directions.

"Should I?", Felix smirked as he thought of going for another hunt, but then he remembered he had to go back.

'Sigh I don't have the time… I can't alert the people back at the base about my disappearance. If that happened, they'd start keeping an eye on me to prevent me from sneaking out again.'

Shaking his head, Felix dismissed the idea of going on another hunt as he clicked on one of the red dots on the map.

'Whatever... I'll mark them for now in case they return another time. Also, let's get healed up...'

'Terra Drain.'

As his body began recovering, Felix found the other mark he had left of the base on the map and started making his way back.

At the place which Felix had just marked on the map.

"Search every corner! Flip every rock if you have to, but I want them found no matter what!"

A tall man with tan skin barked the order, sending the large group scrambling through the tunnels, scouring every inch of their surroundings.

The man wore a deep frown as he narrowed his eyes, carefully scanning the tunnels around him for footprints or any traces of humans as his group members searched restlessly.

"Hey Kaine, are we still doing this?"

A young man with long red hair tied in a ponytail walked over as he asked, his expression bored.

"Oh, Sir Ragnar...", the tall and tan-skinned man named Kaine showed a respectful expression as he nodded at the young man.

"Yes, Sir. We must find and punish the traitors at the earliest. They know too much of us, and there can be a disaster if they joined forces with the two guilds."

Ragnar, the red-haired young man, was the son of Hythe Deklara, the guild leader of the Mad Wolves.

"The two guilds, huh...", Ragnar played with a knife in his hands as he muttered casually.

"But don't you think it'll be more interesting if they were to do so?"

Under Kaine's confused expression, Ragnar continued with a grin.

"The two guilds are not our opponents as they are now, but with the information from the traitors maybe they'll be a bit more fun to deal with..."

Kaine shook his head with a sigh as he rejected the idea.

"You're always like this, Sir Ragnar. Unfortunately, I was ordered by the leader to bring them back dead or alive. So I can't let that happen."

Ragnar tilted his head to the side and narrowed his eyes at Kaine.

"Even if it means going against me?"

A chill went down Kaine's spine as he was stared at by Ragnar's apathetic golden eyes, which showed no emotions in them.

"I...."

Kaine couldn't come up with an answer, as he knew he could neither confront Ragnar nor disobey the orders given by the leaders.

Turning around, Kaine gritted his teeth and escaped away with his head low.

'I need to stay away from Ragnar, that demon!'

In the Mad Wolves guild, most members were barbaric and violent; but among them, the son of their guild leader, Ragnar Deklara, had the most notorious reputation.

'Ragnar wouldn't hesitate a second to kill me, a guildmate at Rank 3!', Kaine bit his lip as he kept his distance from the young man and gave the orders to the members of the group.

Seeing that he was ignored and left alone, Ragnar simply shrugged, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

"You know well you won't be able to stop me, Kaine."

A chaotic aura oozed out from Ragnar, intimidating and keeping the others away.

The members of the scouting party continued their search for the traitors, just like the many other groups that were scattered throughout the dungeon tunnels.

The two guilds base.

Felix sneaked through the ground and returned, climbing his way onto the bed inside the tent as he dozed off in seconds.

A few hours later, he was woken up by the grunts and curses of the two boys.

"That doesn't make any sense, Steve! Why would I need to strip myself to show that I'm a man?!"

"See?! That's exactly what I'm talking about, Eric! A real man wouldn't be embarrassed about stripping in front of everyone. That just proves you're less of a man!"

"Are you fucking insane?! Do you even understand what you're saying, Steve?!", Eric was heaving as he shouted out angrily.

Felix opened his eyes groggily and took a look at the scene outside the tent, yawning as he got up from the bed with a stretch.

"You guys never get tired or what?", he got out of the tent and muttered.

The two boys turned to look at him as they started again.

"Felix! Help me with this stupid bastard! He's spouting nonsense the first thing after waking up.", Eric pleaded with an exhausted face.

"Right! Let's see what he does!", Steve jumped towards Felix with an enthusiastic face and said.

"Felix, do you know that a real man, who's a true warrior, has the strongest of body?! So how about you remove your clothes and show us how strong your body truly is?"

Glancing at Steve's excited face for a few seconds, Felix turned to Eric and asked as he rubbed his stomach.

"Do you know where they're serving breakfast?"

"Hmm?", Eric took a moment to ponder before pointing in a direction.

"That way. In a green coloured tent."

Felix nodded as he started walking away.

"Thanks."

"...you're welcome.", Eric stared at him getting further and then looked at Steve who had an aghast face.

"Pfft! Hahahahaha!"

Breaking out into laughter, Eric nudged at Steve as he mocked.

"Felix ignored you hahaha! Serves you right for saying stupid things, you stupid! Hahaha!"

Steve slowly turned his head, eyeing the laughing boy as a wide grin slowly crept on his face.

Meanwhile, Felix had a satisfying breakfast at the tent, with Roven arriving at his table with a bright smile.

"I got some good news, Felix. Our team will be going out for a patrol task with some other teams."

Rubbing his mouth with a cloth, Felix raised his brow and replied.

"Oh.. That's good. But are you sure our team should go?", he asked with a slight frown.

"You know what happened the last time the two of us went on the scouting task, it'll be dangerous. And those two don't seem ready to face the strong monsters yet..."

Roven nodded and gave his reason.

"I know the danger, but this is the only way we can contribute in the guild war. And don't worry, the other teams will include some executives too."

He then pointed at himself with a grin.

"Also, don't you think I'm a bit different than before?"

"Hmm?", Felix tilted his head as he glanced at Roven up and down but couldn't find much of a difference, except for....

"Did you not get any sleep? You have some heavy looking eye bags there...."

Even though Roven had a huge smile on his face, the black circles under his eyes couldn't help but ruin his appearance.

"Well, that's true. It's because I've been training...", Roven chuckled as he shrugged, before patting his chest and exclaiming.

"But can't you notice it? I've broken through to Rank 2! I'm a Rank 2 Swordsman now!"

Felix opened his eyes in surprise and stood up. He circled around Roven, noticing something different about his aura.

"It's amazing, Roven! You've broken through. Congratulations!", Felix patted his shoulder and praised him happily.

"Thank you, Felix. It's partly because of you that I could raise my rank.", Roven thanked sincerely as he continued.

"It was your participation that pushed me to join the scouting mission. That experience pushed me to my limits. After returning, I meditated deeply, and only then was I able to break through to Rank 2."

Felix smiled at the gratitude he was receiving, realizing he truly had a good team leader.

"It was all your efforts, Roven. Although I'm happy to have influenced you.", he gestured to the other direction and said.

"Why don't we share this news with the other two? They'll be overjoyed with your breakthrough too."

"Yeah, let's do that. Steve will get more competitive for sure."

Roven and Felix chuckled as the two of them made their way back toward their temporary tent to find the other two teammates.

As they walked, they noticed a crowd had gathered up ahead.

"Hmm? What's going on there?", Roven asked curiously.

"Umm...let's go check it out.", Felix stepped forward as a strange sense of amusement stirred up within him.

As they moved deeper into the crowd, they could hear the voices of their teammates in the utter silence of the crowd.

"Is this what you wanted, Steve? I'm all undressed, are you satisfied now?!", Eric who was now in his underwear screamed in embarrassment.

A brief moment of awkwardness surrounded the air before another voice started mocking.

"Look here, people! There's a pervert in our midst! Open your eyes for he is going to unveil his chaste body to the eyes of the public."

Steve gestured around in exaggeration, his face red as he suppressed his laughter and maintained the facade of a performer.

"What the fuck!?", Eric shouted in anger.

"No way in hell I'm going to do that!"

Steve shook his head as he clapped his hands.

"The show cannot stop now. Everyone, clap your hands and cheer for our shy performer, the undressed pervert Eric!!"

The crowd glanced at each other before they went along with his shenanigans.

"Eric! Eric! Eric! Eric!"

Watching the crowd cheering him into removing the last cloth on his body, Eric felt the urge to cry when his eyes met the blank eyes of his other two teammates.

"Ro... Rove-", he called out to his team leader, only for the man to turn around in shame.

"I didn't see anything. Let's go talk about the mission with the other teams, Felix.", Roven ignored Eric's plight as he pulled Felix away.

'I'm sorry, Eric. But how the hell did Steve trick you to that point...', Felix couldn't help but wonder as he walked away.

"No... Don't go... Save me..."

Eric muttered helplessly as he stretched his hand towards them. Only for his actions to raise the cheers of the crowd as they enjoyed the dramatic scene.

"Eric! Eric! Eric!"

Steve, who had now completely turned his acting into that of a real performer, spread his hands to the crowd as he exclaimed.

"Everyone, let's raise our voices together and witness a miracle! All hail the pervert Eric!!

"All hail the pervert Eric!'

"All hail the pervert Eric!"

Amidst the fanatic cheers of the crowd, Eric stood aghast with a pale face.

His eyes slowly closed on their own as if he had accepted his fate.
