The instant these words rang out in Corey's ears, he nearly lost control of himself and cursed out loud.
'You have got to be kidding me. The great and powerful beast this Prince wants to battle is the Throne?... A being who is comparable to a Tier 7? An Immortal?!'
The urge to stand and instantly leave the Prince's office was so strong to the point that if not for the experiences he has had and his unique mind, he would have left the room without caring about the presence of a Prince of a powerful kingdom.
'That means Divine was right. I wonder what his expression is at the moment.'
Corey took a glance at Divine, and to his surprise, he saw Divine having a confused and curious expression at Prince Zeran's words. He glanced at Melissa, and he also saw her having a confused and curious expression at the Prince's words.
They don't know about the Throne?'
Corey was surprised for a moment, but then he realized that it was not surprising for Divine and Melissa not to know about the Throne.
He got to know of the Throne by Gunnarr Anacletus, and ever since he began going through the libraries of all the cities he had been in, he had never read or seen any information regarding the Throne.
'Divine and Melissa are not like me who can just take a glance at books to know their content with ease. They don't even like reading as much as I do, so it's not surprising that they don't know about the Throne.'
'Majority of the Tainteds don't know about the Throne also.'
As Corey's mind came up with a lot of thoughts, Divine's voice resounded in the room which then disrupted his thoughts.
"What is this… Throne you're talking about? Don't tell me it's an abomination that's actually a Throne?"
Prince Zeran, Corey, and Melissa had strange expressions when they heard Divine's words, and they could not help but give Divine strange looks. Even the stoic Prince Zeran looked at Divine strangely.
"No, it's not a throne."
Divine heaved a visible sigh of relief when he heard this, and when he saw that everybody was still giving him strange looks, he scoffed softly.
"Stop looking at me like that. You guys did not find yourselves in the Labyrinth. There was a chair with lots of dried blood on it, and the chair had longs hands and arms as its legs and armrest."
"That chair was terrifying as fuck, and Dave and I had to run away from it because of how terrifying it was. So don't look at me like that." Divine shivered slightly as he recalled his experiences in the Labyrinth.
A few seconds later, Prince Zeran coughed softly and then he spoke.
"The Throne is not an actual throne, it's a being made of flesh and blood."
The Prince paused for a second, and then he continued.
"The Throne is the strongest being and the guardian of this world. From what I know, it's a Tainted and an Abomination, a combination of both, and it's as strong as a Tier 7… A very powerful Tier 7."
The Prince paused once again, and he observed Divine, Corey, and Melissa. Just as he expected, he saw Divine and Melissa having blank expressions the instant he finished speaking.
However, Corey's expression did not experience much of a change. He could only see a tinge of surprise and disbelief in his violet-blue eyes.
'He doesn't seem as surprised as the heir of the House of Divine or the woman… it's either he's able to maintain his composure to a ridiculous degree, or he's able to hide his emotions to nigh perfection, or… he already knows about the Throne.'
'But that should not be possible. We had to go through a lot just to know that a being like the Throne exists. Although he's a unique Tier 2, he should not know about the Throne.'
'Interesting.'
After deciding to end his train of thoughts regarding the strangeness of Corey, he continued speaking.
"I know that it's a monumental-"
"Apologies, Prince Zeran of the Scorching Sun Kingdom, but we'll like to leave… You see, we still love our lives and we don't desire to test death at the moment. Maybe next time, hmm."
Divine cut off Prince Zeran and stood. Without waiting for a response from Prince Zeran, he grabbed the arms of Corey and Melissa, and pulled them to get up.
He wanted to leave the room without hesitation.
His instincts had been warning him that the invitation from the 14th Prince of the Scorching Sun Kingdom was by no means simple, and he told Corey and Melissa, but they refused to listen to him.
Now, he was hearing that the Prince wanted them to participate in a fight against a being called the Throne, who was as strong as a Tier 7?
Divine already made up his mind that he was going to leave the room without hesitation, even ife ended up offending the Prince.
'And I know that this bastard would either use us as meat shields or as distractions. Damn it! These kids always behave like they know more than their seniors. Kids should always listen to adults.'
As Divine was attempting to drag Corey and Melissa out of the room, Prince Zeran chuckled softly and then his voice flowed into Divine, Corey, and Melissa's ears.
"Prince Eryndor Castiel of the Supreme God Empire is also participating in the battle against the Throne."

Divine, who was less than a meter from the door with Corey and Melissa's hands in his hands, paused. He stood still for four seconds, and then he slowly turned and faced Prince Zeran.
"Prince Eryndor Castiel of the Supreme God Empire is participating in the battle?"
He asked with a solemn tone, and Prince Zeran nodded slightly with a small smile.
"Malrik Tenebris of the Temple of Darkness, Sylva Morrell of the Hunters Association, Raksha Draven of the Beast Tribe, Vanya Luna of the House of Vampires, Ivara Linhart of the Arctic Ice Sect, Lysandra Faelan of the Pleasure Sect, Orion Darrow of the Divine Spear Sect, Lucian Volcaris of the House of Hellfire, Alaric Ventris of the Mage Association, Darius Fenrir of the Werewolves Tribe, and… Eryndor Castiel of the Supreme God Empire are all participating in the battle against the Throne."
With every name that was mentioned by Prince Zeran, the more Divine's expression changed and so did Corey and Melissa.
They had no idea that the battle against the Throne was much greater and grander than they imagined, and for a few seconds, they were shaken by the many names they heard.
Although Corey and Melissa had no idea who these people were, they knew that these people that were mentioned by Prince Zeran were not normal. Divine's extremely solemn expression was a sign that the situation was more serious than they could imagine.
Divine remained silent for a few seconds, and then he exhaled deeply before going back to his seat. He sat and looked at Prince Zeran with a serious expression for two seconds before saying,
"Give us more details."
