Chapter 18: Uzumaki Naruto’s 2,000 Barrage! The One-Tail Shukaku vs. Gamabunta
Land of Lightning, Kumogakure
"Could any of you create that many shadow clones?" The Raikage asked Samui sternly.
She shook her head with a wry smile. "He's a monster if he can do that."
"This boy is no ordinary ninja!" The Raikage declared firmly. "Find out everything there is to know about Uzumaki Naruto!"
Land of Earth, Iwagakure
"Why is it that all the talented shinobi come from Konoha?" Onoki grumbled, his frustration obvious.
"It's true, but Konoha also has the highest defection rate," Kurotsuchi pointed out.
Land of Water, Kirigakure
"What an amusing young man," Mei Terumi remarked, resting her chin on her hand. "To think he could summon that many shadow clones."
Scene: Konoha and Beyond
"Is that really Naruto?" Ino gasped, her disbelief mirrored on the faces of everyone watching.
The sheer number of shadow clones Naruto summoned left his audience stunned.
The Battle Continues
"Sorry for the wait, everyone! Uzumaki Naruto's Ninja Notebook starts now!"
Gaara, surrounded by countless Narutos, looked around in shock.
"What's going on? This number of clones?!"
Sasuke's voice broke the tension, trembling with disbelief. "Naruto, you...?"
Naruto turned to Sasuke. "Rest now. Leave this to me, Uzumaki Naruto!"
With a triumphant shout, Naruto raised his fist. "Let's go! All at once!"
The 2,000 shadow clones moved as one, charging at Gaara. His terrified expression contrasted with Sasuke's stunned disbelief.
"Is this really the same Naruto I know?" Sasuke thought, watching the boy he once called a loser command an army of himself.
"Fly high! Uzumaki Naruto's Ninja Notebook: Four-Direction Shuriken Technique!"
Hundreds of shuriken flew from Naruto's clones. Gaara frantically blocked with his sand arm, which was soon covered with countless embedded weapons.
But Naruto wasn't done.
His clones rushed forward, kicking Gaara's body into the air. As Gaara flew upward, clones positioned in every direction were ready.
"Uzumaki Naruto's... Two Thousand Barrage!!!"
A cacophony of punches rained down on Gaara. Though individually weak, the sheer volume of attacks distorted his body and slammed him into the ground with immense force, leaving a massive crater in his wake.
"Beautiful, Naruto! Give him a good beating! Show him what Konoha genin can do!"
"Yes! That raccoon's too cocky! Teach him a lesson, Naruto!"
"Two thousand shadow clones... even Gaara can't handle that. This is what power looks like!"
Even ninja across the lands began cheering for Naruto. They saw his indomitable spirit and rallied behind him.
In Konoha, Sasuke watched in silence. A strange, unspoken feeling stirred within him.
"N-Naruto-kun... so strong... so cool," Hinata whispered, her face flushed red as her eyes sparkled with admiration.
"Okay, I admit it! You're a bit stronger than me!" Kiba grumbled, though his jealousy was obvious.
Ino and the others stood dumbfounded, staring at Naruto's overwhelming performance.
Meanwhile, in Suna, Temari and Kankuro were equally stunned.
"How... how is this possible? Gaara got beaten like that?"
Deep within the crater, Gaara stared up in fear and disbelief.
"This guy... where did this power come from?!"
The Naruto he had once dismissed as an ant now stood as a figure of strength.
"Why... why does he fight so hard for them? For his companions? For his village? Why would he sacrifice himself for others?"
Gaara's thoughts raced as he questioned the very foundation of his existence.
"Uzumaki Naruto... you're... interesting," he muttered darkly, a sinister grin spreading across his face.
"It's not over yet! Hands and feet together—Four Thousand Barrage!" Naruto roared, his fighting spirit ignited.
From the depths of the crater, Gaara glared at the countless Narutos in the sky. His body trembled, not with fear, but with rage and determination.
"I will not lose to you!"
Sand erupted from the ground as Gaara roared, wiping out all of Naruto's clones in an instant.
The scene shifted, revealing a massive, shadowy figure looming over the forest.
As the smoke from the dispersed clones cleared, the full form of Shukaku, the One-Tail, came into view.
The ground shook, trees collapsed, and the sky seemed to darken under the monster's presence.
"That's... Shukaku!"
"A true tailed beast... a natural disaster..."
Even through their screens, the villagers across the ninja world could feel the oppressive aura radiating from the massive tanuki-like beast.
"Can Naruto really defeat something like that?"
"This is a tailed beast... Can any human even stand a chance?"
On Gamabunta's back, Naruto stared at Shukaku with wide eyes. He swallowed hard. "Can I... can I really defeat something like this?"
Even the most experienced ninja would hesitate in the face of such a monstrosity. A mere genin like Naruto had every reason to doubt himself.
But then he remembered.
"I swore I'd never give up... not until I become Hokage!"
The words of his past echoed in his mind.
"I can do this... I will defeat him!" Naruto shouted with all his might from atop Gamabunta.
Jiraiya chuckled softly, shaking his head. "This kid... he's something else."
Gamabunta took a puff from his pipe. "Not bad, brat. Not bad at all."
Shukaku's massive claw shot forward, trapping Naruto in a swirl of sand.
"Naruto!" Sasuke screamed, trying to stand despite his injuries. "Damn it! My body won't move!"
Inside the sand's grasp, Naruto struggled, his chakra nearly depleted. Blood dripped from his lips as he wiped his face and began forming hand seals.
"Boar—Dog—Bird—Monkey—Ram!"
Gaara smirked from within Shukaku. "It's over. You'll be crushed to dust!"
But just as the sand tightened, a roar erupted from the battlefield.
"Summoning Jutsu!"
With a massive puff of white smoke, an enormous shadow loomed over the forest.
As the smoke cleared, Gamabunta appeared, towering over the battlefield. A giant toad, armed with a sword and pipe, had arrived.
Naruto stood tall on Gamabunta's head.
"Sakura! My comrades! I'll protect you all!"
