Shocking! The Mysterious Sky Veil Brings Chaos! | Naruto

Chapter 16: An Explosion from Desperation – The Thousand Years of Death!

Scene: A Memory of Joy

Iruka, Kakashi, Sasuke, and Sakura stood under the warm sunlight, waving at Naruto.

Naruto's face lit up with a goofy smile. It was a smile full of warmth, happiness, and contentment.

"I never thought... something like this could make me so happy."

In the vision, Naruto began to run toward them, his heart filled with joy. As he reached them, they embraced him as one of their own.

"I really... really... really...

"I'm so glad."

"To be here with them... to stay by their side... it makes me feel at peace with myself."

Konoha Village

"So... that's how you've always felt, Naruto?"

Sakura looked up at the sky, lost in thought. Her chest tightened as she remembered all the harsh things she had said to him before—mocking him, belittling him, even cruelly pointing out that he was an orphan.

Looking back, she realized how awful she had been.

"I was such a horrible person back then," she whispered as tears filled her eyes. For the first time, she truly regretted how she had treated Naruto. Even when he held her in such high regard, how had she repaid him?

"Naruto-kun..." Hinata murmured quietly, envy flickering in her heart. She wished, more than anything, to be one of those people Naruto treasured. She wanted to stand by his side, to be someone he needed.

Scene Change: A Sudden Darkness

"That's why..."

"I can't imagine what my life would be like without them."

As the image shifted, it plunged into darkness. Naruto was alone, surrounded by shadows. Loneliness and cold seeped into his bones, reminding him of a painful past.

"Whenever I think about the way things used to be... that lonely, freezing hell..."

Naruto's vision blurred, and in the darkness, Gaara's figure appeared, overlapping with his own.

"If I were still all alone..."

His voice trembled, "That's why I understand it so well... if I were still trapped in the darkness..."

The entire ninja world watched in silence, tension gripping their hearts. Across the lands, other jinchūriki sat quietly, their minds replaying their own struggles in the darkness.

Mothers and women with nurturing hearts couldn't help but feel pity for Naruto. To them, he was a child who deserved so much more than the pain he had endured.

"To them, I'm just something they want to erase... So why do I even exist?"

"I came to the conclusion that I exist only to kill everyone... as a monster!"

Scene: Naruto Faces Gaara

Naruto stood tensely before the partially transformed Gaara, his face filled with doubt and worry.

"Can I... really beat this guy?"

His confidence wavered.

"What's wrong? Are you scared?" Gaara sneered.

"Everyone else can die for all I care," Gaara continued. "Loving only yourself, fighting for yourself—that's what it means to be strong!"

"Come on, Uzumaki Naruto. Fight me!"

Stung by Gaara's taunts, Naruto quickly formed hand seals. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

A puff of white smoke filled the air as multiple Narutos appeared and launched themselves at Gaara.

Gaara barely flinched. With a deep breath, he unleashed a powerful attack. "Wind Style: Infinite Sand Dust Breakthrough!"

The trees around them were blown apart, collapsing in a chain reaction. Naruto's clones were wiped out instantly.

The entire ninja world watched in dismay.

"Is this even a fight? It's more like a massacre," someone muttered.

"There's no way Naruto can win. Gaara is just going to keep getting stronger. What can he even do?"

ONSCREEN

Naruto was knocked down again and again by Gaara's relentless attacks. Sand shurikens pelted him, forcing him to stumble and collapse repeatedly.

Yet, no matter how many times he fell, he kept getting back up.

"Why won't you stay down?!" Gaara growled, his patience wearing thin.

Naruto's trembling body rose once more. Though he panted heavily, his eyes had changed. The fear in them was slowly fading.

"Why..." Naruto muttered, clenching his fists. "Why do I feel this way... this strange feeling bubbling up inside me..."

Gaara narrowed his eyes at him, noticing the shift.

"This guy...!"

Naruto glared back, his breath ragged but his determination unshaken. "I refuse to lose to this guy... no matter what!"

The ninja world was baffled.

"What's with that look in his eyes?" someone murmured.

"It's like he's suddenly filled with unshakable courage. It's making my blood boil just watching!"

Naruto pulled out a kunai wrapped with an explosive tag. His expression was fierce as he steadied himself.

"I don't know how much I can do..." he said. "But I'll give it everything I've got!"

He created more shadow clones, and they charged at Gaara together.

Gaara smirked, extending a sand claw to swipe at them, but the clones worked together to hold him back.

"Now!"

One clone grabbed Naruto and hurled him toward Gaara. As Gaara's other claw swung to block, the last clone leapt onto its back, giving Naruto the momentum to jump higher.

Naruto's kunai glinted in the sunlight as he aimed it at Gaara's exposed back.

"Take this!" Naruto shouted. "This is the secret Leaf Village technique my sensei taught me!"

The ninja world held its breath.

"Thousand Years of Death!"

The silence was deafening.

The ninja world: "..."

Kakashi: "..."

"Pfft!" someone burst out laughing. "Wait, is this for real? I can't stop laughing!"

"I mean... it's so dumb, but also kind of adorable."

"Wait! Did anyone notice? That kunai has an explosive tag on it!"

"Oh no... if it's tied to an explosive tag, then—!"

Gaara sneered as he swung his tail, sending Naruto flying. But Naruto's voice rang out clearly:

"Detonate!"

BOOM!

The explosive tag detonated at point-blank range, blasting apart the sand armor around Gaara's back.

Naruto was flung through the air, only to be caught by Sasuke, who had rushed in to act as a human cushion.
