Chapter 3.3
Chapter 3 part 3
Gu Xiaoya still felt uneasy and wanted to go after her. But taking a few steps, she heard the cabinet behind her with a ‘bang!’, and her two legs immediately went soft.
Gu Chenfeng rushed forward and dragged his sister back: “Why are you worried about her? I already told you earlier, she’s not normal!”
He glanced at the stairs after speaking, and was about to say that he should be the one to go and find her by himself when the class monitor suddenly said:
“That’s enough. Our time is limited,” he said as he looked at his Quartz wristwatch, “Let’s think about how we can survive first.”
Xu Turan didn’t know how those children would react and what they would do after hearing her words, and she didn’t care.
She winked at the class monitor before she left. That guy had promised her to do a favor and someone who could control the scene, so he shouldn’t be able to do stupid things like taking the other people to follow her.
Xu Turan’s goal was clear, heading straight to the bathroom at the end of the hallway on the third floor. But she didn’t forget to look at each room again, searching for any strange sound or shadow 一一 unfortunately, there was nothing except the noisy cabinet.
She had to admit that Gu Chenfeng’s judgment was unexpectedly correct. She heard the sound of an increase in her death value when she was alone.
It was a full ten points. The sound was so refreshing.
Of course, Xu Turan also reckoned that this was also related to her identity 一一 after all, she was the first one of all the players to be eliminated so far. The event card also hinted that the female ghost ‘favors children with the lowest grades.’
Combined with three death points she received when she was eliminated, it was self-evident who would be the first to be targeted by the female ghost in the ensuing hunt.
As for what to do after dying, frankly, she hadn’t thought about it yet. But whatever it is, the boat will naturally go straight to the bridge一一
Xu Turan pushed open the door of the toilet in front of her.
The same tin cabinet was still inside the bathroom. The narrow space where most of the light fell illuminated the blood stains on the cabinet door.
After the five minutes of hiding passed, they only heard a ‘click’ and the lock hanging on the center broke on its own. The cabinet door opened slightly outward, and a greenish-gray hand reached out from the darkness and snapped on the cabinet door.
As a silky black gas leaked out from the cabinet, Xu Turan calmly blinked and made a judgment with her keen perception: this shadow seemed to be about the same level of the one that wrapped around the class president earlier….
It was as straight as it can be. It should be stable once it has been touched.
Xu Turan nodded her head in self-assurance, looked around, and took out a toilet plunger from the storage compartment next to her. She swung it twice in her hand to feel it before nodding her head in satisfaction and closed the door of the room behind her.
Remembering Gu Chenfeng’s words, she didn’t forget to lock the door and turn off the lights. The bathroom was instantly quiet. There was even no thumping against the tin cabinet.
Xu Turan waited for a few seconds. When she didn’t hear the sound of the death-accumulating value arrive, she secretly sighed and backhandedly turned on the light again.
F**k, poor evaluation.
On the other side –
A black sedan drove along the mountain road and circled around the B&B a few times before finally reluctantly stopping fifty meters away. The car window rolled down. Someone inside held up binoculars and looked up towards the B&B and sighed.
“It’s no longer possible to enter.”
“Then what should we do?” The red-clad girl sitting on the back seat was surprised. “There are people inside.”
“How would I know? This ‘domain’ had already taken shape. The disgusting things that make up this domain are of a higher level than us, so we can’t get in even by force.”
The man sitting on the passenger seat clicked his tongue and put down the binoculars, “It was also the people inside who were killing themselves. Only after performing enough ‘rituals’ can those disgusting things generate a full ‘domain’. To say that no one inside had performed the ritual, I certainly wouldn’t believe it. Ah, maybe they are just a bunch of death-seeking disciples in there.”
“It’s possible that they were tricked. Those things are especially bad nowadays.” The young girl was still somewhat undeterred. “Is it too late to ask for a backup?”
“It’s too late – the nearest high-level mythical beast here is Yang Buqi, but it would take at least eight hours for him to come over. That long time is enough for the people inside to be completely engulfed.” The man shook his head: “Just die; they were hopeless after all. I have other things to do and have to go back to A City. You two wait here, make a record of your observations, and when the ‘domain’ closes, remember to do a good job at recycling. Go.”
The car door opened, and the man in the long black trench coat stepped out of the car and returned alone along the way they came. When he had walked a hundred meters away, he suddenly stopped again. He turned his head to look at the B&B behind him. The deliberately old building seemed to be enveloped in a layer of fog, shadows upon shadows, that people couldn’t really see.
The man stared at the layer of the fog for a few seconds, silently sighed, and pulled out a small white flower folded in paper from his pocket. He placed it on the ground and turned to leave.
The author has something to say:
The Man: Rest in peace and lie flat. It’s hopeless.
Xu Turan: Steady and stabilized!
(T/N: I am actually confused by the whole chapter. Tell me if you too T_T)
