She’s Always Good at Dying

Chapter 3.2

Chapter 3 part 2

Several of the students were gathered back in the hall with their forehead covered in cold sweats. The class monitor was trying to calm them down when a thumping sound came from the cabinet. The room was immediately filled with another wave of screams, and everyone huddled together like a bunch of shivering puppies.

“No, what on earth is going on here? Could it be that everything was planned by the owner of the guesthouse….”

“What boss ah! This board game wasn’t prepared by the guesthouse but brought here by Zhong Zai!”

“Zhong Zai? Zhong Sijia? Really that person, I don’t remember telling him to come!”

“He came here by himself, so I thought he was called by someone among you.” Gu Chenfeng hurriedly said while protecting Gu Xiaoya, “He arrived before you all and after sitting for a while, he said that he was going to the hospital to accompany his dad. He went and left this box of board games behind!”

Gu Chenfeng also didn’t think too much about it. And when people arrived, they directly opened the box and played. Who would have thought that they would encounter this kind of thing!

Wait a minute.

He turned his head to the class monitor who was pretending to be calm, remembering that the other party earlier acted like a ‘mentally deranged goat.’ He seemed to understand something, and his expression changed a few times.

Speaking of which… why did they just continue to play that board game again? Someone was obviously in an accident just before that. At this point, shouldn’t they find a doctor first?

Gu Chenfeng’s mind was in chaos when a voice suddenly sounded in his ears: “Zhong Sijia? Who is he?”

He was startled. When he turned his head, he saw Xu Turan who at some point was next to him. She didn’t look the least bit alarmed as she looked up and down the cabinet with a bit of interest, observing it while chewing a rainbow candy.

Noticing Gu Chenfeng’s astonished gaze towards her, she kindly handed him a bag of candy.

Gu Chenfeng: “…”

He shook his head, calmed down for a few seconds before replying, “Just, someone in junior high with the lowest grades. He went to work in other places after finishing senior middle school entrance examination. He just came back a few days ago….”

He felt strange after saying that.

They were all in the same class in junior high school. The only people who were quite special were Xu Turan and Zhong Sijia. Xu Turan transferred to another school after finishing second year in junior middle school and wasn’t their classmate in the third year of middle school. Zhong Sijia graduated junior high school before leaving.

Xu Turan shouldn’t not known about Zhong Sijia. At the very least, they were in the same class for two years….

Seeming to have shown her confusion, Xu Turan smiled again: “Sorry, too much time had passed and I kind of forgot.”

Gu Chenfeng: “…”

He still finds it strange, but right now wasn’t the best time to think about it. There was still the unceasing banging coming from the cabinet, as if someone was slamming and beating from inside, making everyone’s hearts thump loudly once again. At this moment, the sports rep. stepped forward again:

“No, we can’t just stay still like this!”

He looked around and then dragged two chairs against the cabinet door. He turned his head and said: “Don’t huddle together! Separate, find a place to hide, stay hidden for three minutes, and maybe everything will be fine…!”

When Gu Chenfeng heard this, he immediately became anxious: “Are you blind? Are you courting death!”

Sports rep.: ?

“The Snowstorm Villa, do you know that!” Gu Chenfeng who had seen many films, he finally remembered something now, “What kind of people usually dies first in horror films? The people who are alone ah!”

This statement, whether it has a basis or not, was a bluff enough to deceive people. Xu Turan next to him nodded her head in understanding, and said, brimming with a studious mind, “And?”

Gu Chenfeng: “Ah?”

“In horror movies, what other kind of people are easy to die?” Xu Turan didn’t let the opportunity to know more, “Except for those who are alone, who else?”

“And… no one can go to the toilet ah. The toilet is the most dangerous.” Gu Chenfeng was stunned by her question, and unhappily walked a few steps to the side. “That kind of confined space is dangerous. Especially when the door became locked from the outside, and pitch-black darkness. There are no people, so it is easy to meet with a mishap. There are also those that make strange noises and shadows. At this time, you shouldn’t take a look. Because when you look at it, you’d be giving your head… ah, no!”

He was halfway through explaining it with layman’s terms when he finally noticed that something was wrong: “Why are you asking so many things? You… Xu Turan?!”

He turned his head only to find that Xu Turan’s shadow next to him disappeared.

Almost at the same time, the sound of light and swift footsteps echoed from the stairs. There was no gap between the handrails and the stairs so they couldn’t see anything. Gu Chenfeng only reacted after a while when he realized that Xu Turan was running upstairs.

“Eh?! Xu, Xu Turan?” Gu Xiaoya cautiously approached the stairs and called out in a low voice, “Where are you going? Don’t run around!”

Xu Turan’s voice came from above: “Don’t worry about me. I will go upstairs to the toilet alone!”

Gu Chenfeng: …

Oh man! All the elements are here already. He has blabbered all day long for nothing.
