IMPORTANT REMINDER: These events occurred before Jin-Woo killed Mr. Fisk.

The night was cold, the kind of cold that seeped into your bones and made you feel alive in the worst way possible. Jin-Woo stepped out of Fisk Tower, his expression unreadable, his movements deliberate. The towering structure loomed behind him, its glass façade reflecting the city's neon glow like a distorted mirror. He didn't look back. He didn't need to. The conversation with Wilson Fisk played in his mind, each word dissected, analyzed, and stored away for later use.

Fisk had tried to recruit him. Of course he had. Jin-Woo wasn't surprised. Power recognized power, and Fisk was a man who understood the value of strength. But Jin-Woo wasn't interested in being someone else's pawn. He had his own plans, his own goals. And Fisk's empire? It was just another obstacle in his path.

The cold air bit at his skin as he walked down the nearly empty street, his coat billowing slightly in the wind. His mind was already working, piecing together the fragments of information he had gathered. Fisk's empire was vast, a sprawling network of crime and corruption that stretched across the city. Taking it down wouldn't be easy. It would require precision, patience, and a willingness to play the long game.

And Jin-Woo was nothing if not patient.

### The Watcher

High above the streets, perched on the edge of a rooftop, Peter Parker watched. His spider-sense had been buzzing ever since he caught sight of the man leaving Fisk Tower. There was something about him—something dangerous. Peter couldn't put his finger on it, but his instincts were screaming at him to stay alert.

He adjusted his position, his lenses narrowing as he focused on the figure below. The man moved with a confidence that was almost unsettling, his steps deliberate, his posture relaxed but poised. He didn't look like a criminal, but he didn't look like a hero either. He was… something else.

Peter's fingers twitched, ready to fire a web at a moment's notice. He didn't know what this guy was up to, but he wasn't going to take any chances. Not in his city.

---

### The Confrontation

Jin-Woo smirked as he turned a corner, his senses sharpening. He had noticed the watcher almost immediately. The faint tingle at the edge of his awareness, the subtle shift in the air—it was all too familiar. Someone was following him. And from the way they moved, he had a pretty good idea of who it was.

Spider-Man. The city's so-called friendly neighborhood hero. Jin-Woo had heard the stories, seen the footage. The kid had potential, but he was still green. Still holding back. That was his weakness.

Jin-Woo reached into his pocket, his fingers brushing against a small, smooth object. He didn't need to look to know what it was—a shadow fragment, a remnant of his power. With a flick of his wrist, he tossed it onto the street, the black shard dissolving into the darkness.

Above him, Peter's spider-sense flared. He barely had time to react before something wrapped around his leg—a tendril of shadow, cold and unyielding. Before he could process what was happening, he was yanked off the rooftop, the world spinning as he hurtled toward the ground.

### The Alley

Peter landed in a crouch, his reflexes saving him from a painful impact. He looked up, his lenses narrowing as he scanned the alley. The man stood a few feet away, his hands in his pockets, his expression calm but with a hint of amusement.

"Alright," Peter said, his voice steady despite the adrenaline coursing through his veins. "That was rude."

Jin-Woo chuckled, the sound low and smooth. "Consider it a warning."

Peter tilted his head, his fingers twitching as he prepared to fire a web. "A warning for what?"

Jin-Woo's eyes gleamed, a dark glint that sent a shiver down Peter's spine. "Don't follow me."

The air around them grew heavy, the pressure almost suffocating. Peter felt it—a crushing weight that made it hard to breathe, hard to think. It lasted only a second, but in that second, Peter understood. This man wasn't just strong. He was something else entirely.

Peter swallowed, his voice barely above a whisper. "Noted."

Jin-Woo smirked, the pressure lifting as quickly as it had come. "Good."

And then he was gone, disappearing into the shadows like he had never been there at all.

Peter stared at the empty alley, his heart still racing. "Well," he muttered, pulling his mask back on. "That's not terrifying at all."

### The Shadows

Jin-Woo moved through the city like a ghost, his presence undetected by the people around him. His mind was already working, planning his next move. Fisk's empire was vast, but it wasn't invincible. Every empire had its weaknesses, and Jin-Woo was going to find them.

He stopped in front of a small, nondescript building. It was a safe house, one of many scattered throughout the city. He had chosen this one because of its proximity to Fisk's operations. It was the perfect place to start.

He stepped inside, the door closing behind him with a soft click. The room was sparsely furnished, with only a table, a chair, and a few pieces of equipment. It was all he needed.

Jin-Woo sat down and pulled out a small device. It was a data pad, one he had taken from Fisk's men during his earlier encounters. He had been studying it, trying to decipher the information it contained.

The screen flickered to life, revealing a series of encrypted files. Jin-Woo's fingers moved quickly, inputting commands and bypassing security protocols. It wasn't easy—Fisk's men were good—but Jin-Woo was better.

After a few minutes, the encryption was broken, and the files opened.

Jin-Woo's eyes scanned the information, his mind processing it quickly. It was a list of names, locations, and transactions. Fisk's network, laid bare.

He smirked.

This was just the beginning.

---

### The Plan

Jin-Woo leaned back in his chair, his gaze fixed on the screen as he processed the information. Fisk's empire was a sprawling web of power, money, and influence. It was intricate, interconnected, and deadly. But every web had its weak points—its fragile threads. And Jin-Woo was going to find them.

He didn't need allies. Not yet. What he needed was leverage. Information. A way to destabilize Fisk's operations without drawing too much attention to himself. The data pad in his hands was a start, but it wasn't enough. He needed more.

His thoughts drifted to Spider-Man. The kid was a wildcard—unpredictable, idealistic, and far too trusting. But he also had access to resources Jin-Woo didn't. Resources that could be useful. For now, though, Jin-Woo would keep his distance. Spider-Man wasn't ready for what was coming. And Jin-Woo wasn't ready to reveal himself.

No, his next move would be quieter. Subtler. He would observe, gather information, and strike when the time was right. Fisk's empire was built on fear and control. To dismantle it, Jin-Woo would need to exploit both.

He stood, his movements fluid and deliberate. The city outside was restless, alive with the hum of activity. Somewhere out there, Fisk's men were moving, carrying out their orders, unaware that their empire was already under siege.

Jin-Woo's lips curved into a faint smile. Let them think they were safe. Let them think they were untouchable.

They would learn soon enough...
