SCION THE PROTECTOR

Since everything had been solved the five of them had some time to relax, one of the best features of Lauin's new home was the simulation room where he could simulate any environment he wanted including deep space, however, one of the perks other people didn't know is that with his control over matter and energy, he didn't simulate the environment but rather recreated it.

In his simulation room, everything generated there was real and they were controlled by Ziran the AI, as a running joke Lauin refused to rename the AI but chose to let it retain the name of his first enemy.

for the next few months, Lauin remained in his simulation room when he wasn't at campus attending lectures, he simply retained the apartment in Memphis just so he could have a returning address in case anyone came looking for him,

Secondly, Ziran was monitoring the apartment full time so in case there is anything there that needs his attention he could simply translocate over with a thought's notice.

However he was trying his best to not only understand the information he had access to, he was attempting to grow his mind at an incredible pace and avail himself with as many abilities as he possibly could as he prepared for the life and death challenge looming in his near future.

During this time he temporarily cut off access to any emergencies that did not threaten planetary security, he invested his time in growing himself as a person, and with time he even started dividing his power allowing him to create small non-sentient creatures that could help him with small matters.

without realizing it a few years had passed and he was in his final year at campus, technically he no longer needed to study as he could simply live as Scion indefinitely, all the people important to him knew he was Scion so he did not need a human identity, 

But for some reason, this human identity seemed to be much more valuable to him than he could comprehend to the extent that he couldn't bring himself to let go of it, to ease his work he generated a clone of himself and sent it to deal with the daily life of Lauin Lexis,

With his strength increasing his clones could as well contain more power, at present his clones contained 10% of the power contained in his body but it couldn't touch the power in his core. Although 10% of his body's strength wasn't much it was enough to deal with the daily life of Lauin Lexis.

in certain cases, he even outfitted the clone with his costume and it went out there as Scion, with just 10 percent it could rival someone as powerful as Captain Marvel in terms of strength and energy output, 

this was possible because, over the past three years, he had undergone several ways of growing himself allowing him to become slightly stronger, at present his core still contained 20% of his full power but his physical body had become much stronger allowing him to contain 5% of his full power, 

his core would grow but its growth state is the natural process so it would take a very long time, on the contrary, his body could still grow and would reach its optimum state once it could fully utilize the power contained within the core, this would also help speed up the growth rate of his core but for the time being he couldn't do any of that so the core had to grow naturally.

however with just 5 percent of his total power, he had long surpassed an ordinary god in terms of power, although he had yet to surpass the full strength of all fathers the likes of Zeus, Ra and Odin, he could still hold his own against them, 

his clone on the other hand simply had 0.5 percent of a celestial's full energy output, which is comparable to the energy contained within a star his own family didn't even know the Lauin they were dealing with was only a fragment of the real person.

However, at least the clone's power levels were acceptable by his family otherwise if they knew of his true state at the moment, it could become way too much for them to handle.

Currently, Lauin was keeping track of the approaching Abraxas and the proximity of the entity scared him greatly. to help him face the threat, several heroes had been trying to grow stronger as well, the likes of Starbrand, Binary, Blue Marvel, Spectrum, Captain Marvel, Quasar and even the newly reincarnated Sentry who for some reason chose to use the code name Solarus.

although his body had grown from fifteen to 50 feet tall, it was still a bit tiny for a celestial. As he was still contemplating this Ziran sent an alert to him, something had entered the Milky Way galaxy travelling at supraluminal speed, 

human technology isn't strong enough to detect it and their celestial Avenger's mountain isn't even ten percent the celestial it used to be, powerful as it is, it doesn't have the detection range necessary to find this threat because the threat is traversing hyperspace.

Lauin asked what it was and Ziran said that according to Celestial information, it seemed to be a remnant Builder vessel, the last remnant of a fleet of ships belonging to a race of beings called the builders, for some reason these beings didn't exist within this universe.

However, within the multiverse, a massive war occurred across several universes several years ago. It seems like one of the main forces in this war was the builders. they were believed to have been annihilated by the death and rebirth of the universe but it seems like one of their vessels survived the death of the multiverse by hiding within hyperspace.

unfortunately, this vessel is external matter and cannot exist within hyperspace indefinitely, hyperspace has been pushing it out and back into actual space for a while now, however for some unknown reason this vessel has entered the exit point within this universe and after a rough calculation it should emerge close to the planet earth.

it seems someone is intentionally directing this vessel to earth, the problem is that the vessel isn't inert, this is because Ziran had identified this as a builder carrier ship, 

upon it exists thousands of builder forces with just one of them capable of laying waste to the majority of the heroes of the earth, the earth is facing an extinction-level threat and the clone isn't strong enough to withstand what is coming.

Upon hearing this news Lauin recalls his clone, at present the clone was with his family in Masaka, after receiving the summons he tells them that something is going on within outer space and his strength is needed, after saying that he translocated himself out of the house and returned to his lab,

without his clone, Lauin normally retained his true body in the form of a Neutron star, this was because this was the true state of his core, in this form his core would better access hyperspace radiation and grow his body in the fastest time possible. The main difference was that his neutron star was several times the size of an ordinary neutron star, 

as his clone appeared within his lab, within the simulation room the star suddenly condensed reducing in size until in the end it was encased in a glass core, the core also shrunk in size as it approached the clone until in the end it fused deep within the clone's body, 

this clone body was Lauin's human body with his core being his true form, the clone helped him pass for human, celestials utilized their large metallic bodies in the same way he used his clone body. it's just that their bodies need to be proportionate to their daily lives and adult celestials are cosmic entities, as such their bodies are over 2000 feet tall.

With him, his chosen form was a human body just over 6 feet tall, as the core fused into his body suddenly his power skyrockets, he translocated himself to earth's orbit however he had miscalculated the power contained in his true form.

as he arrives the surrounding space suddenly fluctuates however he soon realises he isn't the only one out there, not far away from him were two people, the first was Starbrand and the other was Solarus, looking over at him they asked him whether he too had sensed the oncoming threat and he agrees.

Solarus says that he has been trying for a while but he can't get a grasp on what is coming towards them this time, all he can understand is that it is sending his cosmic awareness way off the charts, Starbrand says that all she knows is that the starbrand is agitated, she can tell the threat is out of synch with universal space but that's about all she can see.

but she feels that this threat could very possibly be the end of the Earth, Lauin tells them that they are both right, what is coming is big and the threat is beyond their comprehension, should they fail to stop it, it is not just the earth that will be in danger but also the entire Universe will be at risk.

Starbrand looks at him strangely and it dawns on her that Lauin knew what was coming, she came to this conclusion because she could tell that this time the lauin she was facing was actually his true form and not a remote clone he always sent out.

so she simply asks him what is coming and he says that it's an appetizer, he says that his rival is sending him treats to test his power level. As he says this Starbrand remembers the threat Lauin had warned them about over 3 years ago, 

as time passed without any appearance of the threat they began to think he had been joking and there was no actual threat coming, for some time they had even forgotten about it. but the Lauin that appeared right now was several times stronger than the Lauin they had last seen three years ago after awakening.

However even then she could still detect hints of worry in his appearance, he knew what was coming and he didn't seem to be certain the earth could survive it, this scared her a bit because presently even she wasn't back to full strength.

After Lauin helped fix her life force problem, her new body's development reverted to her actual age, although she looked to be in her early twenties her body had the development of a five-year-old child, as such the amount of power she could channel through it was limited, 

she still had thirteen years before her body would enter its adult phase allowing her full strength, this means that currently Lauin was several times stronger than her and if he was worried then she needed to be extremely worried.

She seemed to sense movement within the planet, several proximity alerts were going off, their nearest defence station was the peak space station and even in there alarms were blaring.

She looked to Lauin asking him whether they had sensed the threat and Lauin says that they hadn't, he says that with his arrival he miscalculated his energy output and may have sent some terrifying waves through the atmosphere below.

this triggered the several alarms of all that were watching out for a threat to the planet, they now think a celestial had landed within the Earth's outer orbit. She asks him why he didn't just stop them automatically because she was well aware of his capabilities most especially his perception over the flow of time,

She could have stopped those alarms before they went off and maybe she couldn't have stopped them all but she could have stopped the majority of them, Lauin with his reach could have stopped all of them and even had some time to spare but he didn't stop them. he let them all go off intentionally like it was a summons of sorts.

Lauin says that he didn't stop them because he believed they would need the aid of all the heroes possible if they were to hold off what was coming let alone stop it, this statement scared her as it would seem the threat was bigger than she had assumed, 

The full strength of the Earth was enough to topple a cosmic empire and they would only be enough to hold off the threat but may not be able to completely stop it. a question lingered in her mind once again, what exactly was coming,

But before she could ask Lauin said that once everyone had gathered will be the time for them all to know, representatives appeared every now and then in outer space, 

the X-men sent Nathaniel Gray code name X-man, the inhumans sent Ahura Boltagon the inhuman prince, the Eternals sent Ikaris, Alpha Flight sent Captain Marvel and Quasar, the sorcerers sent Dr Strange the sorcerer supreme, the Fantastic Four sent the human torch

From the Avengers came Thor, Iron Man and the Scarlet Witch and then arrived independent heroes like Leonid the human machine, Blue Marvel and his family, together they were some of the greatest forces on Earth and their presence signalled something was terribly wrong, 

Once everyone had arrived, Lauin waved his hand and their surroundings shifted, all the heroes present found themselves transported to Avengers Mountain, they didn't even feel anything and they were already taken somewhere else, clearly the strength of this young man was extremely powerful.

once within the Celestial Lauin felt connected to it, although its soul was long gone, the body was still celestial technology and it reacted to his presence, it was like a vessel without a master and he was the closest thing to an operating system, 

as he thought of this an idea came to him and he telepathically sent it to Ziran ordering him to prepare for it, he then faced the heroes and his voice reverberated in each of their ears like he was standing right next to them, 

in this instant, his body had already risen to ten feet tall, this was, of course, a fifth of his true size, he waved his hands and the celestial hummed as power coursed through it, at that time a projection appeared above all the heroes, his projection showed a realm filled with multicoloured light and at the centre of this realm was a massive vessel flying forwards.

however as they watched this vessel seemed to be vibrating once every few seconds, Lauin told them that what they re looking at was the threat coming to the Earth, it's known as a builder carrier vessel and carried upon it were three fleets of builder motherships.

everyone seemed confused by his statement so he took them through his catalogued memories displaying the builder fleet and their ferocity from several universes during the last multiversal war, although he didn't tell them about the death and rebirth of the universe, the information they had was already terrifying

he skipped the part about the vessel being sent by Abraxas or even mentioning the existence of Abraxas, the heroes were terrified enough as is there was no need showing them that this thing that terrified them so much was actually nothing in the face of the real threat the earth was facing.

he then told them that this threat originates from another universe and is slowly being ejected from Hyperspace and its estimated to arrive within universal space just outside the solar system, however, the carrier ship is just as large as a star meaning its arrival will destabilize universal space on a very large scale.

Several star systems will tremble and if not dealt with in time the Solar system will quake itself apart from the vibrations slowly emitted by this ship, the main cause of this is because this ship exists at another frequency from this universe, 

he tells them that deep within its heart he senses something extremely powerful and dangerous even to him, Had he been at full strength perhaps he could have held off this vessel alone but even then he didn't have full confidence in eliminating it singlehandedly, 

Blue Marvel says that from the universes he showed there was one where a builder fleet was eliminated single-handedly by a starbrand so why don't they release Brandy onto one of their fleets and have her recreate the same thing, with one fleet eliminated, the burden on the rest of the ship will be lessened, 

Secondly, if Starbrand was successful then perhaps Solarus and Quasar could combine forces and destroy another vessel after all together they almost match the power output of the Brand, as for the rest of the fleet the rest of the heroes can handle it while the rest of their big guns deal with the carrier itself.

Lauin tells them that this plan would have been the most perfect plan had they all been at full strength, however, Starbrand is dealing with a physical restriction, her body cannot access enough Starbrand power to match the strength of a builder fleet let alone destroy it.

Solarus still hasn't completed his reincarnation cycle and is still only at 30 percent of the full strength of the former Sentry, as for Quasar she is sharing a quantum link with her predecessor and as such can only access half of the full might of the Quantum bands, 

As for their other big guns, after reintegrating into this timeline Nathaniel Gray has barely reached Omega-level classification, it will take him years before he can actually rise to full strength once more.

The Fantastic Four had the perfect candidate to be of help however Franklin Richards is going through his evolution cycle into adulthood, he will not be able to access his power for the next 8 months as he has diactated reality,

Unfortunately in his precognition at the start of the year, he failed to notice the threat they currently face because it was specifically hidden from his scrying vision. there is one being that could help however his mind is so shattered that he cannot control himself let alone stop a vessel that size.

they all ask who that is and he says that to the X-men he is called David Haller but he calls himself Legion, Nate then tells them that David has been in seclusion on the psychic plane because his personalities have been rampant of late and even his father cannot stop him.

Lauin then tells them that he has long known there was no external factor that could help them, he says that he sent out a call to the heroes in the vast cosmos but whether they could respond in time still remains to be seen.
