Revenge of Reborn Villainess

Chapter 12

“Ah… Ah….”

In a dark room, Yurie sobbed, pressing white cloth against her bloodied calves.

The Duchess whipping was truly horrifying.

Despite the splattering blood, she relentlessly struck her with the whip without blinking an eye.

Even pleading and screaming didn’t make her stop.

It was only after losing consciousness that Yurie could escape that dreadful moment.

“No… Huhu….”

Upon waking up, the state of her calves was horrifying.

Not only bruises but countless cuts covered her legs.

Experiencing such wounds from someone was a first for her.

Surely, this would leave scars.

Then, Kallian wouldn’t find her appealing in his eyes.

“Because of that damn Eshika…..”

Her anger was not directed at the Duchess, who had hit her, but at Eshika.

Yurie clutched her painful leg, tears filling her cold eyes.

“I’ll make sure to kill her….”

Crack-

At that moment, the door opened.

I had asked the maid for a potion to help the wound not to leave scars, it seemed she had brought it.

Yurie, with her head half-raised, looked at the maid’s dress and pondered.

The maid was carrying a bucket, perhaps filled with the requested potion.

“Hurry up and give me the medicine….”

“Pfft.”

However, before Yurie could finish her sentence, a mocking laugh interrupted her.

Instantly, Yurie’s gaze rose, and her face stiffened as she looked at the hem of the maid’s dress.

The maid, it seemed, had brought not the requested potion but something else.

Yurie was taken aback by the sound.

Soon, her eyes lifted, and her face froze.

“Eshika..?”

Eshika, with her silvery hair neatly tied up, stood in front of her with a smile.

Eshika spoke with a joyful expression.

“Pathetic Yurie.”

Yurie’s face trembled.

Why was Eshika standing in front of her in maid attire?

Looking at that face, anger began to build up.

“It seems your future mother-in-law is treating you quite well.”

“You… You…!”

Yurie glared at Eshika, cursing at her.

“Do you know how much I suffered because of you? Because of the words you said!”

“Oh, the future wife of Duke Klaus? Are you yearning for… my position?”

Eshika, looking down at Yurie, had a gaze that intensified Yurie’s sense of inferiority.

“I am different from you. If I stand by him, I won’t do pitiful and foolish things to lose the favor of the Duke. Even if the Duchess doesn’t acknowledge me now…”

Yurie said through gritted teeth.

“Because of you, I suffer a lot!”

The things I struggled to get, the things that were out of reach, always came easily to her.

Even a place as the wife of Duke Kallian Klaus, the perfect man.

“One day, I’m going to take everything from you.”

“But, Yurie.”

Eshika leaned over a little and a smile curled her lips.

“To me, Kallian is a golden carriage filled with manure.”

“What?”

Yurie’s eyes quivered.

‘That dung carriage, I’ll push it off a cliff.’

She wanted to say these words while looking at her distorted face, but Eshika held back.

‘If you’re going to go into the fire pit on your own, you might as well watch cross-legged.’

The sight of Yurie crying in a broken horse-dung wagon would be a sight to behold.

“You, what are you talking about…”

After all, she’s the kind of person who always gives back what she received.

“Oh, I brought some water to clean you.”

Eshika held the bucket high and poured the water onto Yuri’s head.

The water ran down Yuri’s head and soaked her entire body.

Just as the maids had done when they poured water on her body.

“Ow!”

Yurie yelped.

She clutched at the wet cloth wrapped around her wound.

A searing pain shot through her flesh.

“Ouch! Ouch!”

“Salt water is good for disinfecting.”

Yuri’s watery eyes fluttered open at Eshika’s smirk.

Putting dirty salt water on a wound this deep would surely cause horrible scarring.

“No! No! No! No!”

Yurie cried out as he tore the wet cloth away, but the salt water had already seeped into the wound, adding to the pain.

The wound burned and ached.

“Please! No! Argh!”

Eshika watched Yurie’s writhing in agony with amusement, then turned away.

Even with the door closed, her cries could be heard far away.

“Alas, maid clothes are comfortable after all.”

Eshika stretched, looking refreshed.

Her former self would have hated it, but now that she was able to move around freely outside, it would be useful for the time being.

‘Now, shall we go to the kitchen….’

After leaving Yurie’s room, she turned the third corner with a light step.

Thud.

Startled by the sudden appearance of something solid, Eshika reflexively stopped her steps.

Her body tilted, and she was about to take a fall when something grabbed her waist and pulled her back.

“…….”

She made eye contact with the large man holding her waist.

Eshika’s eyes widened, and so did the eyes of the man holding her up.

A man with jet black hair and brilliant golden eyes.

Lesvan Deon Lucane, Crown Prince of the Empire.
