Re:SPIDER

My body trembled as everyone's gaze on the bus fixated on me. " Pete, you okay? ", Harry asked in severe concern. 'I can't believe what had just happened. A moment ago I was dying in my uncle's arms bleeding from a bullet to the head, now I was on the school bus. Was the spider bite and getting shot a dream? Did I fall asleep on the bus? I have so many questions.'

The bus took a hard stop as the bus driver confronted me. " I'm fine. ", I assured the driver, crying behind my glasses. " Let's just go to school. ". Harry began to look at me funny, " Petey,  we are going to the science exhibit, remember? ". My heart sank to my toes. 'How? Did I also dream up going to the science exhibit? I have too many questions on what just happened to me.' But I stayed silent, hoping this horrible feeling would go away.

" P.P you going Schizo? ", Flash mocked behind me. " Who am I kidding you're already insane. ". 'I want to break Flash's teeth in I want to beat him up til his body becomes purple. But I know that I can't do it even if I want to because I am physically weak and unable to tolerate pain. The spider powers in my dream really helped me. But it sucks that I can't have the abilities like I did in the dream.' I just swallow my pride and take the mocking from Flash.

The whole class got out and I saw the science exhibit again however it looked exactly how it was in my dream 'weird' I think.

" No phones unless taking a picture of something at the exhibit. ", Mr. Connors demanded. I got a bad case of Deja Vu from hearing Mr. Connors say that. It sounded strangely familiar and I'm a thousand percent sure in my dream he did say that. Things began to get stranger as I entered the exhibit. Everything I saw was in my dream. The molecular structures, the models, the statues. It became clear to me that I was experiencing the day of the trip all over again. I seemed to have died and gone back to the day of the trip. How did something Ike this happen, though? 'Was it a result of the spider bite? No, that can't be. '

lost in thought, my shoulder clashed with someone's back. " Oh, I'm sorry. ", a familiar voice spoke. It was MJ, for the first time in a while, her green eyes were focused on mine. I remembered how I blew it with her last time, so I made sure to say something different.

" Did you know male spiders approach females in response to the pheromones they emit. ", I informed MJ, deepening my voice. MJ giggled and replied, " Wow, but even some guys do that. ". I smiled at MJ and responded in a suave tone, " I'm one of those guys. ". MJ chuckled "You know those roses over there in that spider exhibit are quite pretty in fact they're my favorite flowers, anyway I gotta now, bye Tiger," she said before walking away with her friends. 'Roses are her favorite that's good to know.'

 Harry looked at me with his jaw on the floor. " No way you just flirted with Mary Jane. ", Harry stuttered. "sure did hehe," I say feeling the confidence fill my body.

" Ow! ", I screamed. I looked down to see the same exact arachnid that had bitten me before. Leaving the same mark. I didn't react with pain, 'I have already experienced the bite before. But it's become clear to me what happened...'

'I had returned by death.'

I washed up the wound in the exhibit's bathroom. 'Even though I'm already familiar with the pain, it still hurts like hell.' I wrapped towels around the wound and met up with the rest of the class. " Pete, where'd you go? ", Harry asked. " You missed Flash beating up Ned Leeds. ". I couldn't hear Harry, I was too busy thinking about what had just happened to me. That was when I realized 'Uncle Ben would likely get killed by that same robber if I don't stop him! I can't let him die, he's the only dad I have left!' 

"Hey! Pete! did you me?" asked Harry "Uhhh no" I responded "Urg what I was saying was you missed Flash beating Ned leeds" "What why?" 'he didn't do that last time' "Oh because someone flirted with MJ and Flash thought it was him, but I'm not gonna snitch that it was you." Harry answered. 'wait so this time that I was successful with MJ flash got mad and beat up Ned?' I pondered. This time I avoided the car that almost hit me and boarded the bus.

 When I got home that afternoon I head straight to bed as my spider powers developed which hurts like hell, the next day at school I thought of a way to save Uncle Ben. 'I'm going to have to go to the wrestling match because that is where the robber is going to steal money, But Uncle Ben is going to go to the grocery store either way to get eggs. It doesn't help that the grocery store and the wrestling warehouse are right next to each other.'

I came up with a plan to save my uncle's life. 'I will have him drop me off at the library this time and then head to the warehouse, but I will just wait at the entrance til the mugger comes and beat his ass. Then me and Uncle Ben will both be fine.' " Peter! ", My uncle yelled from the living room, " You still want a ride to the library? ".

I got in the car with my uncle as he began to play old music. " So, Peter I've noticed you've been really energetic lately. " my uncle grunted, " Why's that? ". I stared at the window dodging my uncle's questions. " I'm fine, Uncle Ben. ", I mumbled. My uncle started up the car and began driving. " Look kid, I understand that you're a maturing boy and that you're gonna want to have some privacy, But just know that you can tell me anything. ", My uncle assured me. " I know you never really liked me as much as your father. But just know that I am trying my best to give you the life that he would've wanted you to have. ". I almost shed a tear from what my uncle was saying. 'But I don't wanna worry him with the return-by-death stuff.'

My uncle pulled up to the library dropping me off at the curb. " Hey kid, remember call me if you need anything. ", My uncle ben waved goodbye. As I gave him a hug before I left, I realized that 'if I fail again it might be the last time I see him like this ever again.'  I made my way to the wrestling warehouse's entrance and began to wait for the burglar.

Eventually, I heard familiar screaming coming from the hallway. " Kid, stop that guy! ", a police officer yelled 'thats my queue!'. When I saw the armed robber enter my proximity, I hit him with my new super strength, clocking him in the face, and dislocating his jaw. The burglar cried on the ground "Thanks kid he could've escaped and hurt someone" The police thanked me and took him away.

"Finally it's over..." I muttered to myself.

When I went outside a couple of minutes later, I saw Uncle Ben waiting by the car, smoking a cigarette. 'He's still alive. My plan had worked.' I rushed over to my uncle and gave him a giant bear hug. " Woah Peter, are you okay? ", My uncle asked. " You're forgetting I have scoliosis so stop squeezing me. ". "heh sorry Unc" I mutter shedding a tear

We got in the car and began to drive home. " So any books you checked out? ", My uncle asked looking at me. I didn't respond because I was too busy looking at him. 'We're both fine. The robber is gone and I don't have a bullet in my brain.'

Suddenly, flashing lights and beeping could be heard in front of the car. It was a car swerving back and forth towards us. 'My senses are going wild but uncle can't see the impact that's about to happen' so I took the wheel and swerved us away from the insane driver. When I swerved the car I caught a glimpse at the driver.

'It's Flash, swinging a bottle of alcohol in his hand as he continues to swerve all over the road.' When me and Uncle Ben were in the clear, I tried to get my hands off of the wheel, But I couldn't. 'My hands are stuck again!' " Peter let go. ", my uncle screamed. I began panicking as we were heading for the park. I kept on pulling and pulling until...

SNAP

I broke the wheel off. My uncle and I began to scream as we came into contact with a tree.

Everything became black again.

" Get a grip! She's with Flash! ", Harry scolded me. " AAAAAAAH! ", I screamed. I began to hyperventilate as I was on the same bus that was taking me to the science exhibit.

'I returned by death again.... SHIT'
