Rencarnation Room {Other Story line}

The sun was overhead, signaling bright daylight. Right under this bright blue sky, there was the chaos of the end of the world. So many vehicles were parked randomly on the side of the road in a badly damaged state.

Some even had cars that were in shattered condition, crashing into each other or even some buildings.

Even so, the road is still very wide and can be passed by one or two vehicles simultaneously.

On the road, creatures that were not human-like walked with staggering steps on the streets, up to the pedestrian sidewalks. They were infected, creatures that were once human.

Not long after, a bus was seen traveling at full speed. The bus was the vehicle that El and his group were traveling in, aiming to get out of this city.

No doubt, it sometimes crashes and runs over the infected that are in the way.

Blood spurted onto the black asphalt of the road. Organs such as the heart and intestines were scattered like dried leaves in the middle of a fall garden. The bus crashed and ran over the infected blocking their way.

"Eldest Brother, we'll be at the gas station in a moment." said Lin Feng seriously looking at the road. At this moment, Lin Feng was driving the same bus that El had boarded at the beginning.

Because El is the leader and founder of the Akatsuki group, all members of the group respect him. However, El didn't want to be called Elder or Big Boss. So, they used the nickname Elder Brother.

"Hn." El sat and leaned next to the driver's seat nodding his head. His eyelids were closed, as if he didn't care about the things around him.

Lin Feng glanced at El flatly. In his mind he muttered, 'I wonder how a person like this could be so strong and become the leader of the group?'

Not long after, El's group finally stopped the vehicle. The purpose of their stop at the gas station was to refill the fuel tank to the brim and to stretch their bodies.

People intended to get off the vehicle just to stretch their stiff bodies. But, before they could refill the fuel tank, they had to kill the infected around.

"Let's test our fighting skills!" said one of them, holding a sword and tying it to the sky.

"Yes!" everyone said in unison. They put the guns in their hands and pulled the triggers.

Instantly, hot lead was spewed out by the guns in their hands.

Bang... Bang... Bang!

The hot bullets pierced the bodies of the infected without a signal, instantly killing them with a merciless rain. After the bullets in the weapons ran out, while there were still many infected around.

The members of El's group did not reload, but instead changed the weapons in their hands. They replaced them with ballistic knives and ran forward without fear in their hearts.

Meanwhile, all the members of his group were busy fighting the infected, El leaned back comfortably while closing his eyelids. From behind, El was suddenly approached by two beautiful girls.

They were Tian Li and Qian Qin, looking at El with curious expressions on their faces.

The two girls found El sitting, leaning back with her eyes closed. "You're not coming down?" they said in unison.

Both of them gasped and stared intensely at each other.

Their gazes were like rivals who were brought together by fate in the same place.

"Hn." Again, El responded to them with one simple word that was hard to understand.

One goal came to mind. A similar goal that was none other than to hit El hard. Thinking that El had just regained consciousness after being badly injured, the two of them abandoned their plan.

Finally, they got off together, leaving El alone on the bus.

Feeling that the two girls had left her alone. El's eyelids opened, she turned to look at them from behind. El's face showed a sad expression. "It feels a bit sad to see them."

"Because after the main mission is all done, I have to go back to evaluate." El muttered.

Deep underground, located not far below the gas station El was with his group. There was an underground sewage culvert. In this dirty and smelly darkness, there was an infected figure wailing in pain.

The infected's body was blood red, with small horns growing on its temples. In the next moment, the entire surface of its skin was covered in green stripes. The red color of the eyes glowed even more in the darkness.

The creature's body writhed as if something was about to grow out of its body. Suddenly, the entire surface of its skin emitted reddish smoke. In the next second, its body seemed to explode and let out numerous green tentacles like sturdy plant roots.

Those tentacles pierced and dug into the ground right above it with great ease. "Roar!" The creature roared, screaming as if in pain with a voice like an ancient creature reborn into the world.

About 10 minutes later, all the fuel tanks were filled to the brim. El's group's vehicle was ready to continue the journey. However, the moment the vehicle engine was started. Suddenly, something unexpected happened.

The ground shook violently. Green tentacles like roots emerged from the ground. The roots pierced the surrounding infected corpses. When the corpses were stabbed by the green roots, the infected corpses immediately dried up.

However, the roots didn't just target infected corpses. The bus El was traveling on was also targeted by these mysterious roots by wrapping around it like a python slithering through prey.

Inside the bus, people were shocked and confused. The roots that emerged from the ground wrapped around the body of the Bus, making the vehicle unable to move.

"Damn, what's going on?"

"What are those roots."

"How do we get out!"

Panic broke out in El's group. El's face looked like it had paled, cold sweat pouring down his forehead. 'I've been trying to stay away from the main character, why did something like this suddenly happen?'

"Eldest Brother! What should we do?" asked Lin Feng in a tone full of terror and real nightmarish fear.

Without answering, El ran out of the bus. His right hand tightly grasped the handle of the Katana at his waist. As soon as he pulled it out of its sheath, the moon-clear blade cut through the roots wrapped around the bus.

However, El's attack continued like a storm. With the added agility and strength that the Swordsman skill had enhanced, El cut through all the roots blocking the Bus' path.

El seemed to be dancing with the katana in his hand. The Swordsman skill not only increased physicality and speed, but also sword swinging skills.

In the blink of an eye, all the roots blocking the bus had been cut off by El. It was fortunate that his katana was still very sharp even though it was an unranked weapon.

"Damn it, those damn roots almost crushed the bus body!" El sighed. However, the next second El breathed a sigh of relief, the roots grew back from the ground and danced in the air.

Quickly, the roots stretched out, immediately targeting El because they felt threatened.

The insight ability of the eyes activated and the world seemed to slow down in his vision. As such, El could see all objects quickly slowing down, including the movement of the roots. El tilted his body slightly to avoid the attack, then cut the root.

"Start the bus and go!" El said this firmly.

"But brother, what about you!" Lin Feng asked anxiously from inside the bus.

"Never mind, don't worry about me!" El reiterated his words. "Hurry up and go, this is an order!"

Lin Feng just gritted his teeth and started the engine again. Meanwhile, from inside the bus Tian Li and Qian Qin were looking at El sadly and annoyed at not being able to do anything.

Tian Li wasn't the fighting type while Qian Qin hadn't been able to gather the virus energy in her body. So her physical strength was still that of an average human. Then for all the remaining people in the Bus, there were only a few accumulating virus energy.

Therefore, they were only in the way if they helped El. Because they were stronger than an average human, but still weaker than an Evolved human level 1.

"Villain, you can't die!" said Tian Li with tears in his eyes.

"Heh, I don't intend to die." El replied while tightly grasping the handle of the katana with both hands.

The bus drove off as soon as the engine started.

What El was doing was extremely dangerous and threatened his life. But, if El chose to leave the bus and his group, then the second main mission would be considered a failure by the system.

Of course, El didn't want that to happen. El would do almost anything to make all of her missions successful. More importantly, there was no way El would let his stupid subordinates die.
