Chapter 10: Out of Town

Shortly after El got the system notification, he smiled with satisfaction. El's face looked pale, blood continued to flow through his mouth. El looked around with blurred vision, in a moment El would definitely lose consciousness.

Seeing the open door of the cake shop, staggering with exhaustion, El walked towards it. El intended to use that place as a temporary hideout.

With the Lone Walker dead, it was possible that El and her group were safe. But, because of the impact of the commotion from the fight against the Lone Walker, it would definitely attract many infected to come.

El's body condition does not allow him to keep fighting or running. So, El decided to find a safe hiding place, recovering from his injuries.

While staggering, El's legs could no longer support his body. El took the initiative to use the katana as a walking aid. "Ugh, damn. I need to be able to move, just a little more until... " El said in a weak tone of voice.

Finally, El arrived at the door of the cake shop. El immediately entered the shop and closed the door. With staggering steps, El walked without direction, until he reached the flour storage warehouse.

El's consciousness suddenly said it was like being blown away by the wind. El fell to the floor, losing consciousness. Both of El's eyelids were closed, making it seem as if he had been in a deep sleep for a very long time.

"Ugh, notification? Finally the group formation mission has been completed. But, how come? I don't remember the progress." El muttered in confusion as he looked at the holographic screen notification floating in front of his.

However, what confused him even more was that the surrounding area looked different from his last memory. El still remembered, back before she completely lost consciousness, he was in a flour storage warehouse in a cake shop.

However, the place El was currently in was very different from the flour storage warehouse. Looking to his right and left, El saw a whitewashed wall with many picture frames on display.

In addition, El also found his self lying on a soft and comfortable mattress, covered in a warm cloth. The surrounding air was also very cool because it was close to an open window.

"System, what's going on?" El murmured in wonder.

Ding!

[The Beyonder with serial number 120,000 his been asleep for 8 days to recover because the last battle wound was too severe]

[Luckily one of the characters in the Last human world has the ability to heal wounds. If without his ability, the system calculates that the Beyonder with Serial number 120,000 will wake up within 1 month]

El paused for a moment, staring with focus. "No wonder, the pain all over my body has disappeared. But, which character healed my wounds?"

"More importantly, how did that character find my hiding place?" El sank into reverie.

"Ah, villain! You're finally awake!" The familiar voice and nickname woke El from his reverie.

Immediately, El turned his head in the direction of the voice. Incidentally, the door to his room had been open since he woke up from his stupor. So, El didn't realize that the door hinges were creaking.

"Ah, it's you, isn't it?" El said in a flat tone of voice.

Tears escaped from between the girl's eyes. Quickly, she ran to where El was and jumped up to hug her with sobs. "Hiks, I thought you would never realize... Hiks!"

"Oi, stop crying." At least that's what the ice-cold stiff man said in response to Tian Li's tearful cries.

"You villain, your words are really evil. I was so scared just listening to the roar, but you bravely fought that thing alone." Finally, Tian Li let go of her embrace.

Tears that were as bright as crystal were still falling through the slits of has eyes, flowing down has cheeks drop by drop like spring rain.

El's gaze softened slightly, then smiled warmly. Tian Li's cute face, mixed with sadness, instantly became as red as a ripe tomato. Tian Li immediately looked away, unable to hold back her embarrassment.

El's right hand lifted up to touch Tian Li's head. Gently and thoughtfully, El stroked it. "Tian Li, allow me to rest a little longer by myself." El said those words a little softly.

Tian Li nodded has head slowly. The tears still flowing down has cheeks, El dried with his left hand. "Okay, I'll go. Get plenty of rest." Tian Li said.

The girl got off El's bed and walked towards the exit of the room. After reaching the door, Tian Li looked at El for a moment. Then, Tian Li said, "I will also tell the others since you are awake."

Slowly, Tian Li closed the door to the room El was resting in. El let out a long sigh, lying on the bed staring at the ceiling of his room. "So can't bear to finish the main mission as soon as possible." El muttered.

At that moment, after the leader of the Akatsuki group had recovered from a 8-day coma, all Akatsuki members came to El's resting room.

Some of them were just visiting him and even challenged him to a fight. But, not Qian Qin as he was relieved that her savior was fine.

However, Qian Qin was a bit jealous seeing El getting too close to a 20-year-old girl. But, Qian Qin hid her feelings despite feeling hurt.

One day had passed, El had gotten up from his bed. El was wearing a white shirt with black trousers, a katana always hanging from his waist.

At the moment, El is busy walking around to see the conditions and the area where his group is based. There were now about 17 men and 3 women.

They set up their headquarters close to the convenience store where they were last time. But, with a little addition of an unused car brigade as a fortress 50 meters away.

The entire group was on the sidewalk, practicing close combat techniques and some were practicing weaponry. Like pistols and assault rifles, shooting at empty cans as targets.

In the Last human story, several countries began sending survival supplies.

Such as handguns, assault rifles and hundreds of bullets. Not just weapons supplies. Medicines and food rations are also on the list.

"This place is still in the city, it's a wonder the second main mission hasn't been completed yet." El muttered looking around.

As El walked around, the new and old subordinates bowed their heads respectfully. "Hn." El nodded slowly in response to their greetings.

"Since the side mission is over, it's time for me to return. Tomorrow I will complete the second main mission." El murmured, looking sadly at his group.

"Everyone gather!" said El, raising his voice in an authoritative tone.

El gave orders to all the members of his group on the sidewalk. Ordered them to gather, right in the front yard of the convenience store.

All members of his group stood up straight, lined up like trained soldiers. Because both old and new members knew El's typing reputation.

They all shuddered when faced with El directly. The look in El's eyes was so sharp that it frightened them, especially when he looked into his left eye.

"I won't repeat those words. Everyone, let's move out of town and don't ask me why. I don't want to hear no, do you understand?" El said, emphasizing her words.

"Yes, we understand!" they said in unison.
