Reincarnated in Dandadan

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: First Fight!

"But first, let's give you some clothes" as he said, he handed his bag to Ken and Momo. He knew their clothes torn to pieces so he bring his school uniforms. Ken take the bag and give gym clothes to Momo. Then he take Kenji's other clothes and wear them.

The trio made their way to Momo's grandmother's house, the old residence nestled behind a traditional torii gate. The air around the gate felt heavy, almost oppressive. As they approached, Kenji's eyes narrowed. He recognized the setting immediately.

"This is it," he thought, his hand brushing against the hilt of his katana. "The moment when Ken bursts into flames. I want to see it."

Momo passed through the torii gate without issue, but when Ken stepped forward, his body ignited in red flames. He screamed in agony, dropping to the ground and writhing as the flames consumed him.

"Ken!" Momo yelled, her psychic energy surging as she frantically looked around for a solution. Spotting a small stream nearby, she extended her hand, using her powers to direct the water toward Ken, dousing the flames.

Ken lay on the ground, panting and trembling, while Momo turned her fury toward Kenji, who stood off to the side, a sly grin on his face.

"You knew this would happen, didn't you?" Momo demanded, her voice sharp.

Kenji shrugged nonchalantly. "Maybe," he said with a teasing smirk before turning toward the house.

"Hey! Don't just walk away!" Momo shouted, but Kenji ignored her, making his way inside.

With the flames extinguished, Momo examined the exorcism talisman attached to the torii gate. Realizing it was the cause of Ken's ignition, she removed it, allowing Ken to pass through safely.

Once inside, they found Kenji already lying on the floor in the center of the living room, fast asleep.

Momo scowled but decided to leave him be. She guided Ken to her room, where they both changed into fresh clothes. Returning downstairs to give Kenji his share, they discovered the living room empty.

"Where did he go?" Momo muttered, unease creeping into her voice.

Before they could ponder further, a loud knock echoed through the house. The sound was sharp and insistent, reverberating through the walls.

Momo turned to Ken. "That's the spirit bell," she explained, pointing toward the door. "We have two bells: one for people and one for… ghosts."

A sense of dread filled the air. Without waiting, they used the back door to slip outside. The house was surrounded by black walls, and the moonlight barely illuminated their path.

As they circled the property, Momo's heart sank when she spotted the intruder—a massive alien, its hulking figure resembling a sumo wrestler. Its body emitted a toxic black gas from its mouth, creating a choking cloud around it.

Momo gasped. "It got in… because I removed the talisman!"

Her mind raced, desperate to think of a solution. "If I put the talisman back, it might leave. But…" she hesitated, glancing at Ken. "If I do, Ken will burst into flames again."

Kenji was nowhere to be found, leaving Momo and Ken to face the alien alone. As the creature advanced, Ken took a step forward, determination etched on his face.

"Let the curse take over my body," Ken said firmly. "But I'll keep my mind. That way, I can use Turbo Granny's powers to fight."

Momo hesitated but nodded, her psychic energy forming a protective barrier around her as Ken surrendered to the curse. His body twisted and transformed, his speed increasing exponentially.

When the alien lunged at them, Ken reacted instinctively, dodging its strike and severing its massive fingers with his enhanced strength. He spat the severed digits out like they were nothing, but the strain of using the curse began to weigh on him.

"I can only do this twice before my body gives out," Ken warned, his voice strained.

Momo's eyes widened. "It looks like a sumo wrestler… maybe if we defeat it in a sumo match, we can send it away!"

The two attempted to grapple with the alien, forcing its hand to the ground, but it didn't make alien go. Alien slammed Momo against a wall. She groaned in pain as it raised a massive fist to strike her down.

Before the blow could land, a surge of energy filled the air.

"Finally," Kenji muttered, stepping out from the shadows. "Looks like it's time to stop watching."

Blue lightning crackled around his body, his hair lifting as the electricity coursed through him. The ground beneath him scorched with each step as he drew the alien's attention.

The alien turned toward Kenji, sensing the immense power radiating from him.

Kenji smirked, adjusting his stance. "Let's see what you've got."

The alien lunged, but Kenji moved with blinding speed, dodging its attacks effortlessly. With a flick of his wrist, he summoned his katana, the blade materializing in a flash of light.

He dashed toward the creature, each movement precise and calculated. When the alien swung a massive fist, Kenji ran up its arm, his blade carving through its flesh with surgical precision. Sparks and smoke filled the air as Kenji reached the creature's shoulder.

In one fluid motion, he leapt into the air, bringing his katana down with a powerful strike. The alien's head separated from its body, and Kenji landed gracefully as the creature collapsed behind him.

Ken turned to Kenji, his expression a mix of awe and disbelief.

Kenji sheathed his katana, the energy around him fading. He glanced back at Ken and Momo, his smirk returning. "Looks like that settles it."
