Chapter 22: Battle of Sacred-blood beasts
"And alliance central military academy wins again. We can expect a little bit of competition as their next opponents will be blackhawk" The competitions went on in the alliance.
Meanwhile in First God Sanctuary Bian had scouted the entire mountain range "two sacred blood birds and a sacred-blood lizard" Bian looked at the monstrosities on the mountain peaks and gave them nice names.
Twenty-four mountains stood side by side in the desert, their peak formed plateaus, three sacred-blood creatures inhabited the center peaks.
A ten meter long brown lizard with scales which glistened like metal in the sunlight. A two meter tall blue bird with a wingspan of eight meters, and a three meter tall brown bird with a wingspan of seven meters.
The rest of the peaks had one mutant beast living with multiple primitive beasts, The three overloads protected those in their circles from outside dangers. Their bonds with one another didn't seem to be that strong.
Bian saw a primitive porcupine among the peaks under the protection of the brown lizard. It was one meter tall and had quills ready to strike any opponents. The quills looked a little bit similar to the spikes of the sacred-blood manticore.
An evil smile bloomed on Bian's face as a dubious ploy came to mind. He had to wait for a bit till the primitive creatures went hunting, they went out in groups of thirty and stayed clear of each other paths. Bian was in luck, the porcupine also went hunting.
He stalked the group from the blue bird, after they had reached a considerable distance from the mountain range he used the sand to form a smoke screen of sorts and the manticore ambushed them from afar shooting the spikes on its tail. A dozen primitive creatures died and a lot were injured, they searched for the perpetrator of this ambush but found no one.
Bian rushed to the group of the brown bird and did the same thing, then he went to his vantage point and watched the drama unfold. At the mountain peak the creatures under the brown bird and blue bird came back with injuries but those of the lizard came back unharmed.
There was unrest among the overlords as the creatures of the lizard hadn't been attacked. The next day the mutant creatures of the brown and blue bird also went hunting, not one to be outdone the lizard also sent the mutant creatures on its peak out to hunt.
The manticore flapped it mighty wings forming a sand storm then assaulted the beasts with its spikes killing dozens more primitive creatures under the blue and brown birds. He snatched a few corpses among their confusion and dragged them to the brown lizard hunting squadron.
The manticore flew from above and poured down blood on the creatures of the brown lizard, he especially made sure to pour down lots of blood on the porcupine. "Forgive me my sacrificial pawn" Bian muttered to himself he retreated as all the creatures made their way back to the mountains.
He could have attacked the mountain range while it was relatively empty but had no way of beating three sacred-blood beasts especially with a broken arm. By the time he got back to his safe vantage point the fight was about to begin. He sat back and got ready to enjoy the show, "now I just wish I had packed some popcorn."
Amidst the towering peaks of a mountain range, a fierce battle unfolds between two colossal avian beings and an equally massive, formidable brown lizard. The harsh desert winds howl in the background as this epic confrontation commences.
With feathers that glisten like sapphires and wings that span the width of a small canyon, the sacred-blood blue bird is a creature of immense grace and beauty. Its eyes, deep and ancient, gleam with an otherworldly intelligence as it prepares to defend its territory.
The brown bird, equally immense but with a rugged and earthy aura, soars alongside its blue companion. Its wings, dusted with golden patterns, cut through the mountain air with precision.
Together, the blue and brown birds share an unspoken bond, ready to eliminate that which may threaten their safety.
The brown lizard, a massive and heavily armored reptile, moves with a deliberate and calculated grace. Its scales shimmer with a deep, earthy hue, and its eyes betray an ancient and primal cunning.
Each step it takes sends tremors through the rocky terrain, signaling its imposing presence.
The blue and brown birds coordinate seamlessly, launching themselves into the air with powerful beats of their wings. They spiral and dive, their talons extending like spears as they aim to strike the massive lizard from above.
The lizard, undaunted, uses its immense tail to swat at its avian assailants, creating shockwaves with each mighty swing. Its thick scales prove a formidable defense against the bird's talons.
The battle unfolds with breathtaking aerial acrobatics and ground-shaking clashes. The desert mountains bear witness to the primal struggle between these sacred-blood creatures.
The blue and brown birds use their speed and agility to harass the lizard from all sides, as the battle rages on, the balance of power shifts back and forth, and the very mountains themselves seem to quake in response to the sheer intensity of the combat.
In a final, breathtaking moment, the blue and brown birds coordinate a synchronized attack, their talons piercing through the lizard's scales, delivering a mortal wound.
The brown lizard, despite its formidable might, succumbs to the relentless assault of the avian duo. With a thunderous crash, it falls to the mountain floor, defeated.
The blue and brown birds, victorious but weary, share a knowing glance and feast on the lizards flesh. Watching all this from the side while adding a bit of mental narrative, Bian waited patiently for an opportunity, and opportunity he soon got.
After struggling for several minutes the birds spilt the Giant lizard in half and flew to their collective peak. Bian summoned the manticore and made it circle round the mountain range to avoid getting spotted this took several hours until the evening.
The blue bird threw down the sacred-blood lizard meat for its subordinates to eat.
The brown bird diligently guarded the meat under its wings. "Stingy birds don't last long" Bian said watching all this from an elevated rock platform miles away.
Coming from behind with astonishing speed the manticore assaulted the sacred-blood brown bird and successfully injected it with its venemous stinger. It picked up the lizard meat and flew towards Bian's direction.
The blue bird got ready to spring into action when it saw the manticore pounce on the brown bird, it sat down again after realizing the manticore was here for the lizard meat, it already had its portion and wouldn't help the brown bird unless it was also threatened.
Furious the sacred-blood brown bird flew after the manticore with tremendous speed, the harder it flapped its wing the faster the poison circulated. The poison was only enough to slow down the brown bird without killing it, the formal injury it had when it fought against the lizard also affected the brown bird making it slower than the sacred-blood manticore.
Bian rode his mount forward to meet the manticore, he saw it approaching from afar with the brown bird hot on its trail. He told it to slow down thereby blocking the brown birds view of the front, Bian summoned a mutant ghost butterfly boomerang and waited for the manticore to get closer.
He used Vital Point Targeting to pinpoint where the forehead of the brown bird would be. The sacred-blood brown bird was about to catch up to the manticore when said manticore suddenly swerved to the right.
A boomerang landed accurately on its forehead and engulfed it entire head in flames. It wailed loudly in pain, as Bian tossed two more mutant ghost butterfly boomerangs at its wings, then Bian kept tossing primitive ghost butterfly boomerangs at it.
He threw a total of 31 primitive ghost butterfly boomerang with his left hand while the bird ran around like a headless chicken after its eyes were burnt.
[Sacred-blood creature phainopepla killed. No beast soul gained. Eat its flesh to gain 0 to 10 sacred geno points randomly.]
"What's up with my luck" Bian didn't raise his hopes so he wasn't really bothered by the lack of a beast soul. He set up camp and ate out of the brown bird until..
[Flesh of sacred-blood phainopepla eaten. One sacred geno point gained.]
With nourishing stomach he could easily eat three times the amount of a normal human. After eating till he got a sacred geno point, he gave the remaining sacred-blood bird and lizard meat to the tyrant minotaur, it had the stature of a ten tear old child. If not for the blood on its mouth, Bian would have called it cute.
