Rebirth: Super gene

Chapter 114: The letter continued

Step by step, the five kilometer shelter moved at astonishing speed, not so easily noticed by those who were on board.

Hope Spirit was joyfully chatting with Love and Faith spirit. Bian was in the middle of creating a new geno art.

Using the life flow of the Ink Sun Dragon, he attempted to create a geno art that could absorb sunlight to provide infinite energy.

Unlike simply simulating the life flow of the Ink Sun Dragon. Creating a geno art would allow the skill to improve according to the fitness of the practitioner.

Unexpectedly Bian ran into a problem. The geno art was a simple yet potent one, capable of being cultivated by an unevolved yet steady enough to be useful to a demigod.

The problem was the geno art was a major one. It would not accommodate the Dongxuan sutra, thus Bian couldn't cultivate the Sunforge geno art he had just created.

"What a shame." Bian sighed, "anyone with this geno art would be a pain to battle during the day."

The shelter would keep moving towards the targets, yet they hadn't even left No Man's Forest yet, this was just how large the sanctauries were. Bian figured he could spend some time in the alliance, leaving Hope Spirit to handle the welfare of the shelter.

He went back to the alliance and immediately documented the new Sunforge geno art.

Bian was a professor on the same level as Bai Yishan. He was certified to create his own geno arts and would receive both monetary gain and prestige in the alliance.

"The only reason I and those close to me haven't been drafted is because of my value as a researcher to the alliance." Bian was deep in thought as he walked home.

The black envelope was just as he left it. He assumed that whoever dropped it didn't come back for it.

But as Bian checked the letter in the envelope again, he was surprised to see the contents had changed.

"You truly are deserving of your rank as first in the academy. To have easily figured out my identity as Executioner Black isn't an easy feat.

Executioner Green is in the lost desert. It's expanse is massive with a permanent hurricane stirring up red sand continously.

Several sacred blood creatures live there, making it the perfect hunting ground for an Executioner.

Her powers cannot simply be stated as she may apply them in whatever ways she likes. Her major power is an ability to reset the day when she dies.

She can do this a thousand times per day before she actually dies. You must figure out a way to deal with her time reset, good luck anomaly."

Bian collapsed on his seat. The power to reset the day up to a thousand times upon death. Was this some sick joke?

"Hahaha! It's so ridiculous."

Bang!

Invisible chains shattered within his mind, the sixth gene lock of the Inner cylinders came to life.

His panicking mind calmed down, as thousands of scenarios flashed past in his mind.

If Bian still had access to see the inner cylinders, he would notice that the soul pillar was in Hyperdrive. Just like the body pillar whenever he used the complete jade body.

Bian's emotion felt foreign. Fear, what was that? The only focus he had right now was hard cold result regardless of the methods.

"This feels alien." Try as he could, Bian could stop neither the sixth gene lock nor the hyperactive soul pillar. As he was indulging in this novelty, a peculiar train of thoughts ran past his mind.

"Executioner Black. People's subconscious tend to act even without their consent. Some part of his real identity must be hidden somewhere."

Bian with his sixth gene lock active could only be described as a monster genius. He could see through all facade with a single thought.

He didn't need eidetic memory because he could review all his memory with mental point targeting. He went through everything Executioner Black had sent, trying to find a subconscious action he would have taken.

For two hours, Bian brainstormed several aspects and possibilities most scientists wouldn't even consider.

"Executioner Black, shortened E.B. That wouldn't tell me anything, but the same can't be said for Obsidian Mercy, his formal cover.

Obsidian Mercy, shortened to O.M. I only know of one person with the initials O.M

Ouyang Ming!

My formal roommate and close friend. To think you would be Executioner Black."

The normal Bian would have smiled at the irony of this situation, but the current Bian only had a cold look on his face.

He had some time till before Varkal's shelter got to his friends position. It would be wise to scope out his foes powers without exposing himself.

Bian stood up and left the house. He ordered a top class, personalised space cruiser with hyperdrive capabilities, a teleporter within and top notch camouflage skills.

He had a beetle Han Sen could use to transverse space, but he had not been to a certain planet to activate the beetle.

After placing the order for another planet, Bian used a common transporter to move there in a week.

The ship itself cost about three hundred billion levo dollars. It's camouflage and movement capabilities would be off the chart, because those weren't meant for such a small ship.

Several experts would assemble the ship and have it delivered to the planet in a month. With a little tip, Bian was able to reduce that time to two weeks after promising to tip them even more once they were done.

His actions played on human emotions like greed, yet he asked in a manner to avoid a rushed and sloppy work. Normal surpassers couldn't request for such a ship, but Bian could due to the privileges of being a high-valued researcher.

There was a genius mechanic who agreed to oversee the creation of the ship itself, in exchange for a geno art Bian had previously created.

Bian thought he knew a lot, but with this gene lock opened he was learning a lot more about human emotion.

"So a person can do so much for an increase in power." Bian felt like he was getting closer to the level of manipulation he would need to face Executioner Green.

He arrived at the planet, a hot-spot for battles between humans and shura even before the war.

He was at the front lines.

This planet had Z-steel mines everywhere, thus both parties agreed not to use weapons of mass destruction on the planet. Said weapons of mass destruction included demigod level power houses.

"One week till the ship arrives. Let's see if I can get some inspiration from war." Bian put on the soldier uniform and walked out of the spaceship with a hundred others, coming to the front line.

Shura and humans would fight for resources everyday on this dwarf planet. Without waiting for a strategic briefing, Bian snuck away from the human base to the enemy mines. He had to act fast under the shade of darkness.

...

A shura mine.

"Mine faster you lot. We need to..." A gold-horned shura was talking to some white horned shura when his head suddenly exploded.

Pah! Pah! Pah! Pah! Pah!

Twenty shura died in an instant, unable to even scream or call for help. With Yin in Yang, Bian didn't need to get close to kill these weak shura.

He kept going round the enemy base, wiping out shura from a distance as fast as he could.

Five hours later and Bian had killed over five hundred shura. Most of his time was spent carefully exploring these new lands.

Tonight showed how much stronger he had gotten since he arrived in this universe. On a planet with no demigods, he had no equal.

"Is that all the Shura on this planet?" Bian was disappointed to say the least. He left the mining bots unharmed, only targeting the shura themselves.

He quietly retreated back to the base, observing for any changes.

Morning soon came, and with it several human forces rushed out to sabotage their enemies. A graveyard of headless shura greeted them.

The gory sight was enough to make even the steel hearted soldiers feel wary. How had so many shura perished in one night without causing a commotion.

The dwarf planet was slightly smaller than Earth's moon. A devastating battle would be felt throughout, yet so many had died quietly.

"Something is very wrong here. Message the higher ups immediately!" The person in charge bellowed.

Meanwhile Bian was coming to several conclusions. 'It is already a new day, but that is relative to this planet. So does Executioner Green reset the day every twenty-four hours relative to her?'

Indeed, Bian had come here also to try out the powers of Executioner Green. He would have based the time of her relapse on his twenty-four hour clock which he now knew was wrong.

'Wait till the end of today. There has to be a limit.'

At the end of the day, more shura were sent towards the planet as reinforcement. There was a brief battle and they reclaimed the mines from the human forces there.

Tension built on the planet as strong forces wer around to counter each other high above in outer space.

"Attack and watch their response. I need to know more on how it works."

Bian figured that if he kept on attacking this planet, he might gain the Executioner's attention sooner or later.
