Quirkless Hero

Chapter 151: Chapter 151: The Second End

The heavy rain poured down, washing over the land. Mirio sighed, knowing he had to take Midoriya back... What awaited him next was likely a trial, and possibly prison.

Though Mirio wanted to help Midoriya, there was nothing he could do... His duty as a hero, combined with the terrifying future Nighteye had foreseen, meant Midoriya had to be kept under their watch.

Even if it meant sending him to prison... they couldn't let Midoriya become the terrifying figure from that future.

As Mirio bent down to lift Midoriya onto his shoulder, he suddenly stopped.

Footsteps... In the middle of the rain-soaked wilderness, Mirio heard footsteps approaching from behind.

He quickly stood up and turned around. Standing before him was a man in a suit, his face wrapped in bandages and wearing a gentleman's hat.

"All For One!"

Even in disguise, Mirio immediately recognized who this was—the archenemy of "One For All," the mastermind behind everything, the leader of the "League of Villains."

"Togata Mirio, we meet again."

"What are you doing here?!"

Togata Mirio faced the man in front of him with caution, slowly stepping back while glancing behind him. Midoriya Izuku was still unconscious, lying on the ground. He had to find a way to get Midoriya away from this man.

"You don't seem very welcoming. But don't worry, I'm not here for you today."

All For One removed the gentleman's hat from his head and held it to his chest. The only remaining mouth on his face curled into a smile as he said cheerfully:

"I'm just here to take Midoriya to the 'League of Villains.' After all, now that he's become a 'villain,' he has no place in your hero society, right?"

"Not a chance!"

All For One had revealed his goal, and Togata Mirio clenched his fists in anger. But he couldn't act recklessly. The League of Villains still had that guy, Kurogiri. If he fought All For One now, Midoriya might be taken away when he wasn't looking.

"How cruel~~ Even though Midoriya is now a 'villain,' you heroes still want to keep him. How selfish of you."

"Shut up!"

All For One's words only fueled Togata Mirio's anger, but he couldn't let his emotions take over. He had to stay by Midoriya Izuku's side and protect him. This man wanted to take Midoriya away, and he couldn't let that happen.

"You're smart and cautious, but..."

All For One stepped forward slowly, casually tossing his hat into the wilderness. The heavy rain washed away the bandages on his face, revealing his terrifying, featureless visage.

"Now that you have someone to protect, can you still fight like you did last time?"

A loud clap of thunder echoed in the sky as All For One charged toward his target. He knew Togata Mirio wouldn't dodge this time—not with Midoriya Izuku still behind him.

All For One was right. Togata Mirio wouldn't move from his spot. He had to protect Midoriya. He couldn't let the League of Villains take him away again.

The rain poured down, drenching the earth as the second clash between Togata Mirio and All For One began.

On the desolate plain, the two faced each other head-on. Togata Mirio's fist, powered by the full force of "One For All," struck mercilessly at All For One's head—just like the attack he had used back in the Shindo district.

But All For One didn't dodge. Instead, he took the hit head-on, his face as tough as a fortress wall. He even chuckled as he spoke.

"Ninth Generation, I haven't forgotten that your strength isn't enough."

All For One had many Quirks, but the one he relied on most was the one that enhanced his physical defense. Even All Might had to go all out to take him down. Right now, Togata Mirio could only manage to inflict some damage at best.

The target was Midoriya, lying unconscious behind Togata Mirio. All For One didn't hesitate. He took Mirio's punch head-on and reached out toward Midoriya Izuku, who was sprawled on the ground, unconscious.

"I can't let him touch Midoriya!"

That was the only thought flashing through Togata Mirio's mind. He quickly reached out to stop the man.

But at that moment, Mirio didn't notice the sly smile forming on All For One's lips.

Mirio's "Permeation" wasn't invincible. The moment he tried to touch or attack, he had to become solid. And All For One had cunningly planned to exploit this weakness.

The Quirk he had just stolen from the Shie Hassaikai was quite useful. Chisaki's "Overhaul" had the terrifying ability to disassemble and reassemble anything with a single touch. All For One intended to use this to ambush Togata Mirio. If Mirio tried to stop him, he'd have to become solid, and that would be the perfect moment to strike.

If he could use this chance to eliminate Togata Mirio for good, that would be even better. All For One secretly plotted this in his mind, but reality slapped him hard.

Instead of just reaching out to stop him, Togata Mirio clenched his hand into a fist. Veins bulged, muscles swelled, and with all his strength, he delivered a devastating punch right into the center of All For One's unsuspecting face, sending him flying far away from Todoroki.

"When you lack strength, you push beyond your limits. That's the rule of U.A. High, and it's something I've always kept in my heart!"

"Keep moving forward, Plus Ultra!"

This punch, fueled by power beyond his usual limits, sent All For One sprawling, dazed and disoriented. It was Mirio's desperate counterattack, but it was also a sudden warning that flashed in his mind.

In his head, he saw visions of eight figures. One of them seemed to be All Might. They were all warning him of one thing: "Danger!"

A warning from One For All. Mirio's eyes widened in anger. With a clenched fist, he sent All For One flying. Even now, All For One was still struggling to get up.

"You... you bastard... I underestimated you..."

Dizzy and struggling to stand, All For One felt the impact of Togata Mirio's punch break through his defenses, causing damage to his body. The blow to his head was severe, and it was a miracle he hadn't passed out.

"Damn it... I forgot about the mental warning system from the previous users of 'One For All.' Otherwise, All Might would have been dead long ago."

The thought gave All For One a headache. In the past, he had failed to assassinate All Might because of this very reason. Now, Togata Mirio had inherited the same vigilance from "One For All," making him even harder to deal with than All Might.

Cautiously watching All For One struggle to stand, Mirio hesitated. Should he seize the opportunity to capture the mastermind, or should he prioritize getting Midoriya Izuku out of here?

Unsure if All For One was faking weakness, Mirio didn't dare leave Midoriya's side. The heavy rain blurred his vision as he and All For One stared each other down.

"Take Midoriya and leave!"

In the end, Mirio made the most sensible decision given the circumstances. But just as he turned to carry Midoriya away, All For One, sitting in the muddy ground amidst the pouring rain, spoke up.

"Looks like we'll have to call it a day. It's a shame I couldn't finish you off."

As soon as All For One finished speaking, a loud thunderclap rang out. Mirio suddenly felt something was wrong. He turned around sharply, only to find that Midoriya Izuku had vanished without a trace.

"All For One!!"

Mirio roared, turning back to where All For One had been sitting. But the man was gone, as if he had never been there at all.

"Ahhh!!"

All that remained in the rain-soaked wilderness was the anguished cry of a defeated man.
