Quirkless Hero

Chapter 137: Chapter 137: Trap

"Thank you so much, heroes and police, for bringing Eri back. I didn't expect you, All Might, to come personally."

In front of the gate of [Shie Hassaikai], the young boss, Chisaki, greeted them with a friendly smile. He kept his usual expression when facing All Might and laughed as he said:

"We found Eri at the amusement park. After questioning her, it seems she was taken by people from the [League of Villains]. Can you provide us with any useful information?"

All Might's large frame blocked Chisaki's view while his left hand made a discreet thumbs-up gesture behind his back. Receiving the signal, Togata Mirio immediately moved behind the police, activated his [Permeation] Quirk, and slipped underground into the mansion.

"This matter is a bit complicated. Let's talk inside."

"No problem!"

Chisaki gestured with open hands to invite them in. Without hesitation, All Might stepped into the [Shie Hassaikai] mansion. This was now a game of stalling for time to search for evidence.

"Please bring Eri inside. She's the beloved granddaughter of our boss—she shouldn't be left standing at the gate."

"......"

At Chisaki's words, Eri trembled with fear, her entire body shaking uncontrollably. It was clear that she was terrified of the [Shie Hassaikai] mansion.

"Don't be afraid..."

Midoriya Izuku comforted Eri by gently patting her. The little girl calmed down and stopped trembling under his reassuring touch. Once All Might, Officer Tsukauchi, and some of the police entered, Midoriya and Hado Nejire exchanged glances—they were ready to move.

This operation was divided into three parts:

The first part was for All Might and Officer Tsukauchi to create a distraction by engaging with Chisaki and drawing everyone's attention.

The second part was Togata Mirio, who used his [Permeation] Quirk to infiltrate the mansion and search for incriminating evidence. All they needed was to find a key piece of evidence.

The third part involved Eri. As the granddaughter of the boss and a victim of abuse, she was the only one who knew the layout of the mansion. Midoriya and Hado Nejire's job was to have her guide them to the lab where the experiments were conducted.

On the surface, [Shie Hassaikai] appeared to be a legitimate yakuza group. The police could only issue a search warrant because of Eri's case, but without solid evidence, they couldn't arrest this criminal organization.

Even All Might, the No. 1 hero, had to act according to the law. As the "Symbol of Peace," he could inspire others with moral strength, but it was the law that ultimately protected people.

And so, the operation against [Shie Hassaikai] began. All Might and Chisaki headed to the main hall to stall for time, while Midoriya Izuku and Hado Nejire wandered the mansion with Eri. Their goal was to avoid direct confrontation.

"Eri, do you remember where they took you for the experiments?"

Though this question might bring back painful memories, Midoriya had no choice but to ask. Only Eri knew what was inside.

"Mm..."

Eri nodded slightly. Despite her fear and anxiety, she chose to trust the older brother and sister who had come to help her. She pointed her small hand toward the ground and whispered:

"Down below... Eri remembers being taken underground."

"Underground?"

Hado Nejire was briefly stunned, then used a small communication device to contact Togata Mirio. Once the connection was made, she said:

"Lemillion, there's a lab under the mansion. Go check it out."

"Got it!"

With the clear order received, Togata Mirio hung up and immediately infiltrated the mansion's underground.

Now that they had some solid clues and evidence, Midoriya Izuku and Hado Nejire felt a little more at ease. As long as "Lemillion" could uncover Shie Hassaikai's crimes, things would be easier to handle.

In the inner hall, it was a typical formal interrogation scene. Officer Tsukauchi was in charge of recording, while All Might questioned Chisaki.

"When did Eri go missing? Do you know?"

"One day ago. That child tends to run away from home now and then. At the time, I had already sent out all my men to search for her. This wasn't the first time."

"Oh?"

Chisaki's response was somewhat unexpected. Officer Tsukauchi carefully noted down every word while All Might continued to question him.

"Why does Eri keep running away? Are you mistreating her?"

"That's... a bit hard to talk about…"

Chisaki seemed reluctant to explain, making All Might even more alert. He had no idea what this guy was trying to pull.

"We did go a little too far with her, but it was all for her own good."

"What do you mean by that?!"

All Might wasn't buying Chisaki's vague answer and pressed him for what exactly they had done to Eri.

"Do you really want to dig into this matter that deeply?"

Instead of answering, Chisaki spoke as if giving a warning, but it was pointless… The man standing before him was none other than All Might, the No. 1 hero and symbol of peace.

"Yes, we do!!"

All Might's firm, slightly angry tone made some of the Shie Hassaikai members around them tremble.

Chisaki helplessly spread his hands. At this point, he had no way out and could only comply.

"Looks like I have no other choice…"

"What are you planning to do?"

All Might asked while clenching his right fist, ready to punch if Chisaki made any sudden moves. He was prepared to attack with just enough force to incapacitate him without causing serious harm.

At this tense moment, someone suddenly burst through the ground and stood in the hall—it was Togata Mirio.

"There's a hidden passage! Below, there's a large experimental facility!"

"We've got solid evidence!"

Togata Mirio's timely arrival gave All Might the perfect excuse to act. It seemed the Shie Hassaikai members wouldn't be walking away from this one.

"Wait!"

Chisaki quickly raised his right hand, causing All Might to pause mid-punch. What else could he possibly have to say?

"So, you heroes managed to find our secret underground facility. It seems we can't hide it from you anymore."

Chisaki's expression was filled with helplessness, which left both All Might and Togata Mirio confused. Was this guy serious or just out of his mind?

"What else do you have to say?"

"Since you've already discovered it, I guess I have no choice but to come clean."

Chisaki walked over to a corner of the hall and opened the entrance to the hidden passage. He extended his hand in an inviting gesture and said slowly:

"Please, come in. I'll explain everything, no matter how embarrassing it might be."

"......"

Something felt off… very off.

A heavy sense of unease hung over All Might and the others. It was only at this moment that the heroes and the police realized something important—this man, Chisaki, might have known they were coming all along and seemed fully prepared for it.

"Did All Might and the others head over?"

"Yes, teacher, just as you expected."

Kurogiri answered respectfully, while the man known as All For One simply waved his hand, looking bored.

"That guy's always been like this—whenever he sees something unfair, he can't help but step in. In the past, I would've used this chance to set a trap for him."

"But... this time, the main player is that kid, Midoriya Izuku. Let All Might suffer a little because of him."

This was all part of a trap carefully set by the [League of Villains] and [Shie Hassaikai].
