Chapter 91: End the fight
(Warning: Edgy)
Charmander could only watch helplessly as its trainer was sent flying by a Pokémon far stronger than itself.
For Charmander, a Pokémon that values strength and thrives on battle, failing to protect its trainer was nothing short of an insult to its power.
If it couldn't protect its trainer, then its strength meant nothing.
Angry and seething, it glared at Rhyperior with burning hatred. But then it heard the pained groans of its trainer, drawing its attention away.
Its trainer was clutching his stomach in agony, groaning as if enduring the most excruciating pain a ten-year-old could bear.
Looking at its trainer's face, everything around Charmander seemed to darken, as if its awareness narrowed down to just itself and Red.
The bond between Red and Charmander inexplicably began to fade, and in that moment, it realized something was terribly wrong.
It felt... like it was about to lose the one it valued most.
Charmander could only widen its eyes, watching the light fade from its trainer's gaze, powerless to do anything.
All of this was because of that Rhyperior.
...I have to make it suffer.
The flame on its tail flared, engulfing its body, while its eyes locked onto Rhyperior.
I have to make it suffer.
Normally, Charmander would strive to fight fairly, even in its evolved forms.
I will make it suffer.
But what was fairness if it meant being too weak to do anything? To keep losing, like when it was defeated by that Water Turtle and the arrogant orange-haired trainer? To fail to protect its trainer?
I will make it suffer.
Darkness enveloped Charmander, and its eyes turned crimson, just like its trainer's—but far more malevolent.
Oh, I will enjoy the pain I gave for it.

Rhyperior and Charmeleon clashed, their arms locked in a fierce struggle. Charmeleon's face was wild and savage, ready to go all out against its opponent.
But Rhyperior had the upper hand—its strength was no easy challenge to overcome. However, Rhyperior wasn't just dealing with one Pokémon.
Out of nowhere, Pikachu appeared behind it and delivered a powerful Iron Tail to Rhyperior's back.
The sudden blow caused Rhyperior to falter, giving Charmeleon an opening to roar and shove it to the ground. Charmeleon's claws, hard as steel, slashed relentlessly at Rhyperior, drawing cries of pain.
Rhyperior retaliated with a forceful blow that sent Charmeleon flying.
It opened its mouth, preparing to unleash a devastating Hyper Beam. Before it could fire, Pikachu struck its head, disrupting the attack.
Angered, Rhyperior swung at Pikachu, but the agile Pokémon vanished in an instant.
Rhyperior scanned its surroundings, only to see Pikachu darting around it with blinding speed, leaving afterimages in its wake.
In an instant, all the Pikachus charged at Rhyperior. It swung wildly, but each attack missed.
As Rhyperior flailed, Pikachu landed multiple Iron Tail strikes, each blow coming faster and harder than the last.
Frustrated, Rhyperior jumped high into the air. But from above, Charmeleon struck, its hardened steel-like fists smashing into Rhyperior's head. Before this massive Pokémon crashed to the floor, Charmeleon seized the opportunity to attack again.
Dragon Rush!
The orange-red flames around Charmeleon shifted to a bluish-purple hue as its glowing red eyes locked onto Rhyperior.
With fiery determination, it unleashed a barrage of punches to Rhyperior's stomach, ending with a powerful strike that sent Rhyperior crashing into the floor with a resounding.
Boom!
The power plant trembled, as if on the verge of collapse. As Rhyperior hit the floor, Charmeleon wasn't about to let up. Knowing fire attacks were ineffective, it immediately switched to a Dragon-type move.
Closing its mouth, Charmeleon's cheeks puffed up before releasing a torrent of bluish-purple flames.
Dragon Breath!
The flames engulfed Rhyperior, leaving it battered and reeling, its health draining as fast as crashing Bitcoin prices.
Misty stood in shock, watching the chaos unfold.
Is this still a Pokémon battle... or have we entered Dragon Ball territory??
Charmeleon landed, panting heavily.
But then, to everyone's disbelief, Rhyperior stood up once more.
This thing's resilience is beyond frustrating!
Rhyperior, barely able to catch its breath, knew it had to end the fight quickly if it wanted to win.
Charmeleon growled furiously, the flame on its tail flaring brighter than ever.
Pikachu dashed forward, attempting another Iron Tail. This time, Rhyperior caught Pikachu's tail mid-swing and hurled it straight at Charmeleon.
Stomping the ground with its massive foot, Rhyperior triggered an eruption of sharp stones beneath Charmeleon and Pikachu just as Charmeleon caught its partner.
Stone Edge! Critical hit!
Both Pokémon were launched into the air by the attack, slamming back down with a thud.
Pikachu tried to stand but collapsed, fainted.
Despite the severe disadvantage against Rock-type attacks, Charmeleon stood back up—barely. (Plot armor activated.) It was likely hanging on with just 1 HP.
Rhyperior smirked, knowing luck was on its side. Only one more attack, and the fiery lizard would be finished.
As Rhyperior approached Charmeleon, the two locked eyes in a fierce, unrelenting stare.
CHARMELEONNN!!!
Charmeleon raised its fist and swung at Rhyperior, but the blow barely fazed the massive Pokémon.
Rhyperior lifted both arms and brought them crashing down toward Charmeleon.
This will end here!
…
…?
Rhyperior froze, realizing both of its arms had been stopped mid-swing.
Charmeleon was resisting with all its might.
Muscles bulged along Charmeleon's arms, and the flame on its tail burned brighter and fiercer than ever.
It refused to lose. It would not lose!
Heat erupted from Charmeleon's feet, engulfing its entire body in an intense, searing blaze.
Its Blaze ability had activated, amplifying its power to an astonishing level.
Overwhelmed by Charmeleon's newfound strength and resolve, Rhyperior found itself being overpowered. Charmeleon pushed Rhyperior's arms aside with a defiant roar.
Its claws glowed as they hardened into steel, but the sheer intensity of its flames caused the metal claws to heat and melt.
Now armed with molten claws, Charmeleon struck.
The scorching claws slashed into Rhyperior's stomach, carving three deep gashes into its armor-like hide.
Rhyperior roared in agony, desperately mustering its strength to retaliate and knock Charmeleon away.
But just as it launched its counterattack, it froze, its gaze drawn to something behind Charmeleon.
A powerful jet of pressurized water slammed into Rhyperior's face, stunning it. Seizing the opportunity, Charmeleon prepared its final move.
METAL CLAW!
With a blazing upward slash, Charmeleon sent Rhyperior flying. The massive Pokémon crashed to the ground with a heavy thud.
Rhyperior was down. It had been defeated.
Exhausted and trembling, Charmeleon collapsed to its knees, breathing heavily. It turned to look behind it, sensing another presence.
A young boy approached with a familiar turtle Pokémon by his side. There was no mistaking who it was.
Blue had arrived.
Blue took a quick look at the battlefield. Leaf sat nearby, depression. Misty appeared frozen in shock, unable to act, and Red lay unconscious on the ground.
"I'm too late..." he muttered.
