Pokemon: These Players are too annoying!

Chapter 90: Rhyperior

Red anxiously watched the battle unfolding before him.

Rhyperior was so powerful that it completely overpowered Ivysaur, Nidorina, Starmie, Pikachu, and Charmander.

And the guy kept spamming Earthquake without stopping!

"EARTHQUAKE!! EARTHQUAKE!! EARTHQUAKE!!"

"Oh my Arceus! Why does that bastard keep using the strongest Ground-type move over and over?!" Misty fumed, wanting to charge in and kick him, but she couldn't do anything.

Rhyperior was no joke. It was dominating even against Grass and Water types, proving just how terrifyingly strong it was.

"Ivysaur, use Vine Whip!"

"Starmie, Water Gun!!"

Both Pokémon attacked simultaneously, but Rhyperior sidestepped the attacks despite its slow speed.

Both moves missed!

Pikachu dashed forward, aiming an Iron Tail at Rhyperior's head.

"ROCK THROW!!" the Rocket captain ordered. Rhyperior instantly created a rock and hurled it at Pikachu.

Seeing the rock coming, Pikachu smashed it to pieces with its tail, only to be met with Rhyperior's punch.

The punch hit Pikachu hard, sending it flying straight toward Red.

"!!" Red flinched and tried to catch Pikachu, but the impact knocked him to the floor.

"NOW'S THE TIME! CRUSH THAT KID!!"

Rhyperior leaped into the air, raising both arms high.

Red struggled to get up, seeing Rhyperior about to strike him and Pikachu. He desperately tried to move out of the way.

"Razor Leaf!" Ivysaur sent sharp leaves flying at Rhyperior, hitting its arm.

Rhyperior turned to face Leaf and Ivysaur, switching its target.

"Wait, is it coming for me now?!" Leaf panicked.

"RUN!!" Misty yelled.

As the two bolted, Rhyperior slammed its fists into the floor.

The floor shook violently, causing Red to stumble and fall again.

'What kind of rotten luck is this?' Red thought to himself.

Leaf and Misty also fell, looking back to see Rhyperior preparing to attack them.

Realizing the danger, Red glanced at Charmander, which was also struggling to get up, then at the Rocket captain, who was laughing triumphantly.

'...Should I just go for it?'

Making up his mind, Red forced himself to stand.

Pokémon battles were for Pokémon, but humans had their own battles too.

The Rocket captain, reveling in his Rhyperior's dominance, was clearly enjoying the thought of defeating these kids.

But then, he noticed the boy in the red cap, Pikachu, and Charmander charging toward him.

No way...?!

Suddenly, a memory of being brutally beaten by Zero2Hero resurfaced, and he began sweating profusely.

'Anything but fighting that kid!'

He bolted toward Rhyperior, hoping it would protect him.

But things never go as planned. Pikachu leaped in front of him, blocking his path, while Red stood right behind him.

A punch would decide the outcome of this ridiculous arc!

Pikachu attacked with Iron Tail, but the Rocket captain barely dodged it.

He couldn't dodge Red's punch, though, which landed squarely on his face.

"Agh!" he cried, clutching his nose, only to see Charmander leap up and scratch him with its tiny claws.

"IT HURTS! IT HURTS!!"

As he tried to fend off Charmander's scratches, Pikachu hit his legs with Iron Tail, knocking him to the floor.

The moment he fell, Red jumped up and delivered an elbow strike to his stomach.

"AGHHHH!!!" his scream caught Rhyperior's attention.

Red breathed a sigh of relief, realizing Rhyperior was no longer focused on Leaf and Misty. But the situation was far from over.

Rhyperior, seeing its trainer under attack, grew agitated.

Despite their cold and emotionless relationship, Rhyperior understood that its role as a Pokémon was to protect its trainer.

Letting its trainer be attacked meant it had failed.

And so, Rhyperior charged at Red.

Rhyperior threw a punch at Red, but Pikachu quickly leaped up and blocked it with Iron Tail.

Charmander, though it couldn't deal much damage, joined in to distract Rhyperior. It might not be effective, but it was better than nothing.

Both Pokémon tried their best to attack Rhyperior, but their efforts barely scratched it.

"Damn it! We have to help Red!" Misty exclaimed anxiously.

"Then can I use Sunny Day now?" Leaf asked, turning to her.

"Sure, my Pokémon don't have any moves as strong as Solar Beam anyway," Misty replied.

"Great! Ivysaur!"

Ivysaur roared enthusiastically, summoning a glowing orb of sunlight high above, illuminating everything.

Distracted by the two smaller Pokémon harassing it, Rhyperior squinted as the bright sunlight beamed down on it, momentarily blinding it.

The next thing it saw was a golden energy beam firing straight at it.

Startled, Rhyperior raised its arms to block the attack, but the force of the Solar Beam pushed it back.

Seeing this as an opportunity, Red called out to Pikachu.

Pikachu leaped up, aiming its Iron Tail directly at Rhyperior's eye.

Rhyperior, focused on deflecting the energy beam, couldn't react in time and took the Iron Tail to its right eye.

Howling in pain, its grip weakened, and the Solar Beam forced it back into a wall with a loud crash.

As the wall crumbled around it, Pikachu landed gracefully on Red's shoulder, flashing a victorious smile.

"Did we take it down?" Misty asked.

No sooner had she spoken than Rhyperior emerged from the cloud of smoke.

Both Red and Leaf turned to Misty.

"What?! Why are you looking at me?!" Misty protested.

Rhyperior did not look pleased. Its left eye glowed red, radiating pure rage—a fury so intense it could rival fans of Oshi no Ko enraged by an unsatisfying ending.

With a roar, Rhyperior charged toward Leaf.

Seeing this, Ivysaur jumped in front of Leaf and fired another Solar Beam to protect her.

But what happened next shocked everyone.

Rhyperior took the hit head-on, yet instead of being pushed back, it kept charging forward as if nothing could stop it!

What the hell?! I thought Rhyperior's stats were all about defense?!

Oh wait, this is fanfic, I forgot.

As it closed the distance, Rhyperior grabbed Ivysaur and hurled it into the air.

Before anyone could react, Rhyperior opened its mouth and unleashed a devastating Hyper Beam at Ivysaur mid-air.

The energy blast hit Ivysaur directly, silencing it completely.

Ivysaur was defeated.

When the beam dissipated, Ivysaur plummeted to the ground, smoke rising from its body, only to be kicked by Rhyperior, sending it crashing into a wall.

"..." Leaf stared in stunned horror at Ivysaur, then turned to face Rhyperior.

Its glowing red eye made the already terrifying Pokémon even more menacing.

Nidorina rushed to intervene, biting down on Rhyperior's head with all its strength. But it was no use—it didn't even flinch.

Rhyperior raised its massive arm, ready to strike Leaf.

"RUN! DON'T JUST STAND THERE!!!" Misty screamed, snapping Leaf out of her fear-induced paralysis.

Leaf bolted, but no matter how fast she ran, Rhyperior was gaining on her.

Nidorina continued biting with all its might, even as its teeth began to crack. But it was futile. Rhyperior swatted at Leaf.

Just as the attack was about to land, a voice shouted—a voice no one had ever heard before.

"DAMN IT!!"

Out of nowhere, Red appeared, pushing Leaf out of harm's way.

Rhyperior's strike connected squarely with Red instead.

The force of the blow sent Red flying, his crimson eyes dimming as he was knocked unconscious.

As Red was flung through the air, his iconic hat flew off, landing with a soft thud on the ground.

When the momentum of the blow finally ceased, Red lay sprawled on the floor, clutching his stomach in agony.

The pain was excruciating—far too much for a ten-year-old child to endure.

His trembling hands gripped his stomach as his eyes lost their light. With a faint gasp, Red passed out on the spot.

Everyone else stood frozen, unable to react.

Especially Leaf.

Her hair was disheveled, her normally brown eyes turned a dull, lifeless white.

"…Red?"

She knelt motionless on the ground, staring blankly at Red's lifeless form.

Rhyperior began lumbering toward her, its massive shadow looming over.

It raised its arm, ready to deliver another devastating blow.

Leaf didn't move, still paralyzed by shock.

"LEAF!!!" Misty's scream cut through the chaos, but Leaf didn't hear her.

Suddenly, the air was filled with a deafening crackle of electricity, illuminating the battlefield with an intense, blinding light.

Rhyperior paused, turning toward the source of the immense power.

It was Pikachu.

Fury radiated from the small Pokémon as massive bolts of electricity surged around it.

Before Rhyperior could react further, the air around it grew unbearably hot.

A powerful punch struck its stomach, forcing the massive Pokémon to stumble backward.

Rhyperior looked down, surprised.

Standing there was Charmander.

Its tail flame burned fiercely, now a roaring inferno that threatened to consume everything in its path.

The lizard's eyes glared up at Rhyperior with pure hatred.

Without warning, fire engulfed Charmander's body, spiraling outward to form a raging firestorm.

Amid the blazing vortex, a brilliant blue and white light began to glow.

Rhyperior froze, recognizing the unmistakable glow of evolution.

Before it could react, another flaming punch struck its abdomen. The surrounding flames exploded outward, yet, strangely, avoided Leaf entirely.

When the flames subsided, a new Pokémon stood in Charmander's place—a sleek, crimson-skinned Charmeleon with piercing, predatory eyes.

At the same time, a thunderous roar of electricity filled the air.

Pikachu moved like lightning, landing a devastating Iron Tail directly on Rhyperior's jaw.

Rhyperior stumbled, momentarily dazed, as it looked back at the two Pokémon now standing before it.

Pikachu emanated a powerful electric aura, its sparks crackling furiously.

Charmeleon radiated an overwhelming heat, its fiery presence suffocating.

The two Pokémon stood side by side, their combined rage creating a palpable killing intent that sent shivers down Rhyperior's spine.
