Chapter 95: Chapter 95 - A Shinx
Rico's POV
I was stunned to hear the name of the dilapidated power plant. "Woah, that was its name?" Jonathan then nodded. "Yes, it was abandoned years ago for unknown reason."
"Oh…"
"That place looks intriguing," commented Marshall.
But my mind said, "What if there were any Pokémon in it?"
So, out of curiosity, I ran towards that place, prompting big brother and Marshall to catch up with me. "Rico, wait!" Jonathan said to me.
"I'm not sure if that place is safe!" Marshall added.
But I kept on running until I reached the power plant's main entrance, which was dilapidated, too. There, the power plant's abandoned interior greeted me. Jonathan and Marshall managed to catch up with me and stayed beside me for my safety.
"Stay close to us," Jonathan said to me.
I nodded. "Yes, sorry for that."
"It's fine, as long as you are okay and unharmed."
And so, the three of us and our Pokémon trekked into the main building of the Buhawi Power Plant while staying close and trying not to get separated from each other. As we went further, the interior gets darker and darker, as the sunlight from the outside gets dimmer and dimmer. Many Electric-type Pokémon appeared but didn't bother to go to us at all and just went off.
And then, another Electric-type Pokémon, a Shinx, came out of the equipment and appeared before us with curiosity. We then looked at it. "Woah…a Shinx…" Marshall commented. In curiosity, I pulled out my Pokédex and pointed it at Shinx; my Pokédex then responded, "Shinx, the Flash Pokémon. An Electric-type. All of its fur dazzles if danger is sensed. It flees while the foe is momentarily blinded."
"Wow…" I commented, before putting my Pokédex and getting an empty Poké Ball. "…I'm going to catch that Pokémon!"
But then, that wild Shinx in front of us freaked out and used Spark on me, throwing an electrically charged tackle at me.
"Ah!" I shouted a bit while getting electrocuted, before falling down on the dirty floor.
As the electricity on me subsided, Jonathan and Marshall helped me get up.
"Are you okay?"
"Are you alright?"
Getting up and opening my eyes, I responded back, "Yeah, I am…"
Riolu and Litleo, who were concerned for me, then gathered in front of me while responding in asking if I was okay.
"Yeah, I'm fine, guys," I replied back, much to their relief.
But then, when we all looked at the spot where that Shinx stood seconds ago, that wild Shinx was gone as if it had fled the scene.
