Chapter 9: Chapter 9 - Pokédex Entries

Rico then unzipped his shoulder bag and grabbed his Pokédex, before zipping the bag close.

"So, Rico, you never had a Pokédex before, right?" Dawn raised a question.

"Well, no, not in my life," Rico answered back positively and honestly.

First, he pointed his Pokédex towards Riolu; his Pokédex then responded, "Riolu, the Emanation Pokémon. A Fighting-type. Its body is little yet powerful. It can crest three mountains and cross two canyons in one night."

"Woah, so powerful," Rico commented to this.

He then pointed the Pokédex towards Quilava; his Pokédex then responded, "Quilava, the Volcano Pokémon, and the evolved form of Cyndaquil. A Fire-type. Be careful if it turns its back during battle. It means that it will attack with the fire on its back."

"Wow, so cool," Rico commented to this in low amazement. "How about this?"

He then pointed his Pokédex towards Pachirisu; his Pokédex then responded, "Pachirisu, the EleSquirrel Pokémon. An Electric-type. It makes fur balls that crackle with static electricity. It stores them with berries in tree holes."

"Wow, so cute," Rico commented in a bit of a low voice in amazement. "How about that?"

He then pointed his Pokédex towards Buneary; his Pokédex then responded, "Buneary, the Rabbit Pokémon. A Normal-type. It slams foes by sharply uncoiling its rolled ears. It stings enough to make a grown-up cry in pain."

This surprises Rico a lot.

"What the…? That was powerful."

He then pointed his Pokédex towards Mamoswine; his Pokédex then responded, "Mamoswine, the Twin Tusk Pokémon, and the final evolved form of Swinub. An Ice and Ground-type. A frozen one was dug up from soil dating back 10,000 years. It woke up to much amazement."

"What the…? That's amazing," Rico commented in a bit of mix of surprise and shock.

He then pointed his Pokédex towards Piplup; his Pokédex then responded, "Piplup, the Penguin Pokemon. A Water-type. It lives along shores in northern countries. A skilled swimmer, it dives for over 10 minutes to hunt."

"So amazing," Rico commented in response to that in a little amazement.

He then pointed his Pokédex towards Togekiss; his Pokédex then responded, "Togekiss, the Jubilee Pokemon and the final evolved form of Togepi. A Fairy and Flying-type. It will never appear when there is strife. Its sightings have become recently."

"Wow, so cool," Rico commented to that.

He then put his Pokédex down on the floor commented to Dawn positively, "Wow, Dawn, your Pokémon are so cute and cool."

Smiling at Rico, Dawn responded back, "Thanks."

After some time, Dawn decided go back to her hotel in the city, and said goodbye to the Cruz family, and thanked them for the delicious meal. Aftet that, while Lucas went on to drop Dawn and her team at Dawn's hotel in the city, Rico and Riolu played together with friendship. Later when Lucas is returning back home from work, Rico grabbed his guitar and began playing a song for Riolu, and it seems that Riolu liked the music Rico was playing.

Later by 9:07 p.m., Rico and Riolu slept together on Rico's wooden bed.
