Pokémon Kyanite and Copper (Revised Version)

Third person POV

 The next morning, after breakfast, Rico wore his dark blue and sky blue, buttoned, long-sleeve polo shirt, brown pants with pockets, and dark red and dark blue shoes. Carrying Riolu in his arms, Rico said goodbye to Lucas and Rosario as he left the house. Outside, Rico wore his helmet, placed Riolu in the bike basket, rode his bike, and went off out of the city and into the Soratas Meadows, which was 3 kilometers west of Kawayan City.

 Later that day, the pair arrived at the Soratas Meadows, beautiful meadows with flowers and Revival Herbs, and Rico parked his bike aside from the dirt path and took his helmet off. He then got off his bike and carried Riolu in his arms again and both went off to the fields of the Revival Herbs. Adjacent to the said fields, there is a nearby village where a food fair was being held. And upon seeing the fields, Rico pulled out his smartphone and used an app that detects any plant. He then pointed the camera of his phone toward a sample of the Revival Herb he pulled and the app then processed it. The process took a couple of seconds. But, when the identity of the herb was determined, it was the right one. It is a Revival Herb. Delighted by this discovery, Rico put his phone back in his shoulder bag, got his pair of scissors, and started cutting a lot of sets of Revival Herbs as much as he could.

 And as Rico kept cutting, suddenly, a Pokémon named Piplup found Riolu lying on the soft, green grass next to Rico, and cautiously approached it. Piplup then responded by asking if it was okay. But, Riolu was too weak to respond to Piplup. Piplup then became concerned about Riolu's current state. But then, a girl with blue hair named Dawn found Piplup, which is actually her Piplup, only to be surprised to see a Riolu in bandages.

 "A Riolu?" she wondered. "What happened to it?"

Piplup then shook its head, as if it didn't know what happened to Riolu.

But then, Rico was done cutting Revival Herbs for Riolu and turned around towards Riolu, only to see Dawn and her Piplup seeing Riolu being injured.

 "What the…?" Rico responded to this in a bit of shock. He then turned serious mode and said to Dawn, "Hey! Be careful with that Pokémon!"

Dawn then noticed Rico coming and she apologized to him, "Oh, I'm so sorry. I didn't know that Riolu is yours."

 "Well, yes, but not yet technically," Rico normally replied back as he put his scissors back in his shoulder bag. "I needed a Poké Ball for that."

 "Oh! I'll give you one," Dawn responded to him. She then dug into her bag, got one empty Poké Ball, and gave it to Rico.

Doubtful about it, Rico asked back, "Are you sure about that?"

 "It's okay," answered Dawn back happily. "I'm happy to help."

Accepting the Poké Ball, Rico thanked her politely and positively.

 You're welcome," Dawn happily responded back.

After that, Rico asked Dawn, "So, what brings you here in Philas?"

 "I'm here for a solo vacation," answered Dawn back as she and Rico walked together with Piplup and Riolu to the village. Riolu was in the bike basket carried by Rico.

 "Oh, really?" Rico replied back. "I can show you around the village.

 "No, my hotel was in Kawayan City," Dawn objected in response.

Realizing this, Rico responded back with an apology, "Oh, sorry, my bad. That would be my hometown."

This fact stuns Dawn. "What? Really?"

Rico then happily nodded. "Yeah."

 After some time, they settled down at a bench not too far from the food fair, and Dawn asked Rico what happened to Riolu. "Oh, um," Rico answered back, "it was injured by Pokémon thieves." This revelation shocks both Dawn and Piplup.

 "What? That was mean!"

Piplup then responded with a bit of resentment.

 "Yeah, they are," Rico seriously replied back as he crossed his arms.

This follows with a short silence.

 "So, what is your name, kid?" Dawn asked Rico breaking the silence.

 "Oh, I'm Rico Cruz of Kawayan City," Rico introduced himself to Dawn. "Nice to meet you. What is your name?" He then offered Dawn a handshake.

Accepting it, Dawn introduced herself to Rico, "I'm Dawn. Nice to meet you, too, Rico."

This was followed by a short silence.

 "Well, I need to go home," Rico said to Dawn breaking the silence. "I need to crush these Revival Herbs."

 "Oh! I had a Berry Crusher," Dawn suggested positively and quickly. "I'll crush the herbs while you buy some water." She then digs into her bag and gets her Berry Crusher, before placing it onto the bench.

 "Oh, okay then," Rico agreed to her suggestion. "I'll buy some water. I'll be back." He then stood up, grabbed his wallet from his bag, and went off to the food fair to buy some water and snacks.
