"Let's take a break—it's time for lunch."

Setting his backpack down, Tyson stretched, letting out a satisfied sigh, before beginning to prepare a meal. As he rummaged through his cooking supplies, his Pokégear buzzed with an incoming call.

"Tyson, listen up!" Agatha's authoritative voice rang out the moment he answered. "You've done well with the Mizutani family situation. Now, let's talk rewards. Pokémon, rare items, resources—name your choice."

Before Tyson could respond, Agatha continued, her tone almost playful but brimming with confidence. "You're my registered disciple now. That makes sense after your impressive performance. I'll send you a list. Pick one thing, but don't get greedy."

Tyson nodded respectfully, though he couldn't help but notice the undercurrent of pride in Agatha's voice, as if she were reluctantly admitting she'd found someone worthy.

"Yes, Master. Thank you."

Satisfied with his response, Agatha ended the call, and shortly after, a list of rewards appeared on his device. Among the options were rare items and Pokémon, including species from distant regions like Hoenn and Sinnoh. Tyson scanned the list, his focus narrowing on the Pokémon available for exchange. His eyes lit up when he spotted a choice that suited his plans.

"Perfect," he murmured, making his decision.

Dialing Agatha back, he relayed his selection. On the other end, Agatha chuckled. "Interesting choice. I'll arrange it. Once you reach the next town with a Pokémon Center, contact me. Oh, and don't forget—you could've chosen something closer to my specialty, you know."

The call ended with Agatha's cryptic remark, leaving Tyson curious but undeterred. He knew he had chosen well. His strategy was clear: resources obtained discreetly through Team Rocket channels, while Pokémon from the Alliance provided a veneer of legitimacy. It was the perfect balance to avoid suspicion.

As he contemplated his next steps, his Ditto approached, squirming slightly in its usual form.

"What's on your mind, Ditto?" Tyson asked, his voice calm as he used telepathy to communicate.

"Uh… I want to train and battle! I want to be part of the team, like Charizard!" Ditto's shy response was a stark contrast to its usual playful demeanor.

Tyson raised an eyebrow, surprised. Ditto had initially resisted the idea of training, but now it was asking for it.

"Are you sure? Training and battling aren't easy. It's tough, and once you commit, there's no turning back."

Ditto's form solidified, and its voice grew firm. "Yes, I'm ready!"

A smile crossed Tyson's face. "Good. I'll create a training plan for you, and you'll start sparring with Charizard and the others. Remember, you chose this path. There's no room for regret."

Ditto nodded resolutely before bounding off to play with Sylveon and the others, its excitement contagious.

Tyson watched the group with satisfaction. His team was growing stronger, each member finding their place. He decided to celebrate the occasion with an extravagant lunch, the aroma wafting through the clearing as he cooked.

The cheerful atmosphere was interrupted when his Primeape froze mid-play, its nose twitching as if catching something. Before anyone could react, its body began to glow with the telltale light of evolution.

"Charizard, Sylveon, Kadabra—stay on guard! Ditto, stay close!" Tyson ordered sharply, his instincts kicking in. Kadabra's psychic aura expanded, ensuring the evolving Pokémon wouldn't be disturbed.

As the light of evolution faded, the newly evolved Annihilape stood before them. Before Tyson could speak, Annihilape darted toward him, its movements swift and exuberant.

"Whoa—easy there!" Tyson laughed as Annihilape enthusiastically displayed its newfound strength, though its unrestrained power sent him tumbling backward.

"Congratulations, Annihilape," Tyson said with a grin, brushing himself off.

"Pucha!" Annihilape exclaimed, puffing its chest proudly.

Despite the minor bruises, Tyson couldn't hide his pride. His team was evolving—both literally and figuratively—and he couldn't wait to see what they would achieve together.
