Pokémon Farming Story

Chapter 6: Chapter 6:The Clean Freak Pokémon

After successfully capturing them, Natsume quickly released Mightyena and the others.

From the very beginning, Natsume had no intention of keeping these Pokémon confined in their Poké Balls for long, even after becoming a trainer.

In Natsume's view, Poké Balls were like airline carriers for cats.

No matter how comfortable the carrier might be, it was still a form of confinement.

Their purpose should be to facilitate the transport of Pokémon in urban areas or under special circumstances.

A green light shone from Natsume's hand, cascading over the Pokémon like spring rain.

The injuries they had sustained quickly vanished, leaving no trace behind.

"Alright, from now on, you will be in charge of patrolling the farm."

Natsume rubbed Mightyena's head and pulled out a roll of tape.

He carefully labeled each Poké Ball and recorded which Pokémon corresponded to it.

The power he just witnessed could be described as the Aura of Tokiwa.

Mainly because Natsume was terrible at naming things, and the application of this power had a wide range.

Names like Aura or Super Power felt a bit lackluster.

So he decided to directly borrow the name of the Aura of Tokiwa.

"By tomorrow, the farm should begin its overall repairs and organization."

"I'm planning to have Sandshrew till the soil again and replant."

"At that time, the farmland will also be part of your patrol area."

Once all the records were completed, Natsume stuffed the Poké Balls into his bag, preparing to organize a room specifically to store these Poké Balls once they returned.

If all went as expected, there would be many more Pokémon captured by him.

"Woof!"

The father of the leading Mightyena grew much closer to Natsume after being captured.

In fact, Natsume already possessed a natural charm.

Under normal circumstances, no Pokémon would reject being close to Natsume.

This natural affinity, combined with the capturing process, made the father's eyes grow clearer.

After Natsume patted its head, its tail instinctively lifted.

If it weren't for the peculiar looks from its mate and child, the father's tail would have been wagging like a helicopter rotor at that moment.

"Geiguo."

On the other side, the Linoone family also developed a decent fondness for Natsume.

However, it was limited to Natsume alone.

Neither the long-fighting Mightyena family nor the Persian that had just given them a beating had any favorable feelings toward him.

The few Zigzagoon following Linoone huddled together and whispered among themselves.

They occasionally raised their heads to look at Natsume and then at the Mightyena family.

The leading Linoone appeared calm, silently waiting for Natsume's instructions.

"Linoone."

After settling the Mightyena family, Natsume turned to Linoone.

The arrangements for the Linoone family were quite simple and straightforward.

After all, this family was a typical treasure-hunting squad.

Since there were still many areas of the farm that Natsume had not explored thoroughly, letting the Linoone family search around might uncover some surprises.

After sharing his thoughts with the Linoone family, Linoone nodded decisively to indicate understanding.

Their energy was just too much.

As soon as they woke up, they would start dashing around.

It didn't take long for them to get into trouble.

Today's conflict occurred when a Zigzagoon was running around outside and accidentally collided with a Poochyena.

This sparked the outbreak of tension between the two.

Glancing back at his silly offspring, Linoone felt a bit worn out.

"I'll be counting on you all from here on out."

Standing at the edge of the woods, Natsume waved to the Pokémon who had come to see him off.

Before leaving, he had coordinated the territorial boundaries between Linoone and Mightyena.

Overall, both sides seemed quite satisfied.

Of course, with the current capturing of Pokémon, the significance of territorial boundaries was lessened.

However, since the Mightyena family had a strong sense of territory, he had simply set up a basic division.

"Next, let's check out the small lake over there."

According to Natsume's plans, the farm would likely be divided into several areas in the future.

The Living Area would be where Natsume and his Pokémon engaged in daily activities.

The Production Area, as the name implies, would be for planting.

The Leisure Area was planned to include fishing and recreational facilities.

Finally, there were the Pasture Area and Pokémon Day Care that Natsume hoped to build.

Yes, Natsume wanted to add some pasture features to his simple plantation farm.

Not just raising Pokémon like Miltank and Combee that could produce agricultural byproducts.

Natsume also aspired to manage sizable Pokémon populations.

Then he could open a Pokémon Day Care.

After all, now that he was in this world, who would want to stick to just farming?

Even if he didn't become a trainer, he at least wanted to be involved with Pokémon.

Natsume felt that being a farm owner would be quite fulfilling.

Of course, these plans were still a long way off.

The most important thing right now was to get the farm in order.

In the afternoon, Natsume took a stroll around the lake.

This small artificial lake didn't have many Pokémon.

Aside from the ubiquitous Magikarp and Feebas, there were also a few Pokémon living alone in the lake.

Lotad, Wooper, Poliwag.

Mostly, they were seen in pairs or threes.

It's worth noting that many people have misconceptions about Feebas.

Because Milotic is a very rare Pokémon, people often think that Feebas is also extremely rare.

In reality, Feebas is similar to Magikarp.

Both are resilient Pokémon that can be found almost everywhere.

Of course, their numbers are certainly not as rampant as Magikarp.

However, they are not exactly rare either.

"Thank you for your hard work, Sandshrew."

On the way home, Natsume encountered Sandshrew, who had just returned from the fields.

Considering that Ground-type Pokémon don't particularly like damp environments, Natsume had sent Sandshrew to work in the fields when he went to the lake in the afternoon.

For Sandshrew, choosing between standing by the lake and digging in the ground was an obvious decision.

Every Ground-type Pokémon would naturally choose the latter!

Just as Water-type Pokémon instinctively gravitate towards moist areas with water sources.

Digging in the ground is an instinct for Ground-type Pokémon; it could even be described as a hobby.

"Chirp~"

Seeing Natsume, Sandshrew raised its paw, still covered in dirt, and waved.

It looked to be in a very good mood.

After digging in the ground for an afternoon, Sandshrew felt that its spirit had been cleansed.

Natsume smiled and waved back at Sandshrew.

Just as Sandshrew was about to rush over to Natsume to show off its accomplishments, a small Pokémon suddenly dashed out and blocked Sandshrew's path.

"Mimi!!"

"Minccino?"

Seeing the excited little gray mouse in front of him, Natsume was slightly startled.

But then he thought it made sense.

Minccino and Cinccino are known for their cleanliness.

They have a serious obsession with cleanliness.

Upon seeing dirt, they can't help but rush over to clean it with their fluffy tails, even if it means getting themselves dirty in the process.

They might even end up trapped in a dirty Poké Ball while trying to clean it!

"Mimimi!!!"

The suddenly appeared Minccino ignored Natsume and instead excitedly shouted at Sandshrew.

It looked like it was about to rush right up to Sandshrew's face at any second.
