Pokemon Dungeon Core

Chapter 7: Chapter 7 Rodents Rampage

Time seems to become pointless to me at this point, this is mainly due to outside stimuli being non-existent.

my days right now are mainly focused on the expansion of floors, now people might think that would be interesting but its mainly just something to do since there is little else to do.

For my next 2 floors I have a consistent idea, One large room full of rodent like animals.

My idea for this is due to the larger percentage of rodent normal type Pokémon I have access to, due to only have access to rock, Bug and Normal for types I have access to 99 overall Pokémon to pick from but Level restrictions and Evolution restrictions make it so like 64 of them are useable and from that 64, 11 are normal rodents.

nearly 1/6th of my usable Pokémon are first evolution rodents. . .

so My idea is to dump them here at the point their more useful than having just tackle and growl.

I make the 6th and 7th floor similar to the layout of the 4th floor with a simple giant room, I amp up the vegetation to create an ecosystem of trees and Briar like bushes.

I make the floors into Rodent paradises, lots of little nooks and scurry ways to make the idea of this place being visibly inviting but actively devious allowing the rodents to ambush from any direction.

For floor 6 I summon 2 different rodents as well as a Marsupial who acts very rodent like.

[You have summoned a Lv 6 Bidoof]

[You have summoned a Lv 6 Zigzagoon]

[You have Summoned a Lv 6 Komala]

For this floor My idea is that Bidoof would be the main offensive force on this floor with high hp and Rollout, also it can become relatively effective with any of his abilities, its a gamble but a moody Bidoof could just rampage with Rollout.

Zigzagoon is the complete opposite of Bidoof, Speed is the main attraction of this line, For this I plan to have them be the floors harassers, their not the best health wise but if they get a sand attack or Headbutt in at a opportune time, it would open the adventurer up for some more hurt via Bidoof.

the Last addition to the floor is gonna be the most Daunting for anyone, now the idea of a comatose koala might not be the most scary but by making it a boss it gains access to a very annoying move in this world.

a level 17 Komala can learn Yawn which forces people to sleep after a short time, the potential of just knocking someone out without them knowing why is scary.

Add onto this attack method Komala is immune to all status ailments due to its ability while having the Egg move wish to just heal constantly. . .

lastly, the only thing differentiating a normal Komala and its shiny is its Wood pillow being pink, so searching for a small koala like Pokémon on a floor while being harassed by Bidoof and Zigzagoon, and even if they find a Komala it's not guaranteed to be the right one.

I poke the Komala to turn it shiny, it just plops onto its back from the touch as its log turns white with a pink internal.

I make some more of the Pokémon before going to continue onto floor 7.

The 7th floor I make very similar to the 6th but I add a unique feature, underneath the flooring of floor 7 I make a network of Tunnels as well as make the floor easy to be dug though in certain spots on intended foot paths.

once the floor is designed I Summon the next set of Pokémon, this time its 3 rodents and one more rodent like Pokémon.

[You have summoned a Lv 7 Rattata]

[You have summoned a Lv 7 Patrat]

[You have Summoned a Lv 7 Yungoos]

[You have Summoned a Lv 7 Zangoose]

For this floor I threw the idea of overall synergy out of the window, The main idea is for the Rattata to use the bushes and the Patrat to use the ground tunnels to do hit and run attacks.

Rattatas aiming for critical hits and bites to both harm and flinch the enemy while Patrats can use detect from underground to be able to notice the enemy's approach before popping out of the earth to get their bite in before going back underground.

I'll have the Yungoos act like the Rattatas but take on a second wave like aspect focusing on using pursuit to attack the enemy's who go and chase after the Rattatas and Patrats, hitting hard enough that they should be able to run away after the hit.

Lastly the boss will be a Zangoose, My reasoning is simple, Hone claws into Fury cutter, quick attack or pursuit, the impact the Zangoose can do would be bloody to anyone on the wrong end of it.

I poke the Zangoose and watch as its Red fur markings turn light blue with its claws turning dirty brown.

I make more of the 4 rodents before allocating each of their levels to get access to moves but once I finish I notice something in the corner of my vision.

It looks like a poke ball symbol but has a number notification which has pooped up, I focus on it and a screen appears for me to read.

[Congratulations, An Adventurer has arrived at your entrance, you have reached your first Milestone of being a Dungeon, as a rewards you will be given access to another Element type due to your Aspect as well as the Overabundance of the Certain Element type in the local environment.

Congratulations you have gained the Poison Type]

I am surprised at the access to the new type since I wasn't expecting it but I do notice that my list of Pokémon options has gained 29 more options, maybe because bug poison was a common combination.

I move my consciousness over to the entrance of the dungeon to look at the adventurer, once I reach them I find their not alone but I notice one thing.

They don't look the best equipped and are covered in Mud, Literally one that has some leather armour covered with segments of metal armour is covered up to their neck in muck.

I can guess how they got here but just as a check I look outside and find no real path though the swamp, they must have simply waded though it, maybe that's why none of them have any heavy weapons or armour to make them sink into the mud.

I watch as one of them lays down for rest against one of my walls and speak out loud in a different language to what I know but I can simply understand it.

"Who said it would be wise to hike though that bloody Swamp!"

Each of the rest of the party sigh before looking at the guy who just talked, one of them speaks, "The one with the bloody map and tracking compass you dolt."

this causes the laying down adventurer to remember before sighing.

not gonna lie this is funny but that might because I'm starved for entertainment .
